I really want to be able to check out Meridian in future dlc either as a Nexus style Hub area or a Map the size of Havarl.
If we get it as a smaller DLC story, there could be Kett or Remnant attacks that we deal with. The place is huge and stunning so it could make for another great open world area. (If not Meridian then give me a volcano open world map)

Yes, but instead of real enemies put VI simulations for combat training.
Doesn't make sense to have Kett stragglers left there, while Remnant turn friendly once you take control of the place. Outcast would also be unable to make a strong presence there neither.

I love the idea of having an open world like Meridian to explore though having to deal with Kett attacks seems like there would be a huge security issue. It is the center for the AI after all I would expect Meridian to be heavily guarded.
Remnant on the other hand, now that I could see. You could have sections of Meridian that are under Remnant control and once you clear the base it becomes a center for AI. There could also be areas in between sections where you will always find Remnant to fight, to keep things interesting

I am hoping that as part of a future DLC we will get to explore it more. The short drive that was part of the final mission really really made me want to see more.

With Ryder's luck it'll be populated entirely by Fiends and Eirochs large enough to eat the Nomad.

I imagine Port Meridian will be a hub world in the sequel.

I'm curious about how Meridian works, like when those plates slide open is there a field around the planet to keep everything from rushing out into space? Is that field selectively permeable? What happens to the plants/rocks/rivers/potential future buildings built on those plates? Is there like a specific slot ships move through or can any of those plates move out of the way? How hard are they? Can they be used as defenses? Is it planet-sized or closer to moon size? How will it handle the heat when humans start showing up en masse/infrastructure starts up?
