Getting in the mood for next friday and replaying the first Resident Evil Remastered. There is a particular atmosphere of mystery to the first entries that just feels like a cozy blanket and a cup of hot-gore-chocolate.

Praise the lord and pass the ammunition! Janette donned her excavator armour and went to Whitesprings to take care of some unruly golfers. Met a couple of old aqaintences from Vault 76 there. Between the ghoulsslaying some pleasentries were exchanged. Then we got a nuclear alert and not surprisingly the missiles aim was for the Whitesprings. Janette made it out of the blast zone with a couple of seconds to spare. Some snaps later they headed back in to the nuke zone. Believe it or not but this was the first time Janette explored a recently nuked area. A lot of specimens were killed and dissected - for science. Beneath the mushroom cloud. AC Syndicate, for lack of any games to play and I've to play this one yet. So, other than the UPS screaming at me for long moments I find the combat underwhelming. It's just clicking the same mouse button all the time. For a moment I thought throw meant the protag can grab and fling / push the mob during melee but nothing happened so I presumed the fling meant the knives. Also thought the civilians would go running screaming the moment they see the protag killing somebody but it's all; cool, man, whatever. Aw that's bad, you must be bad. I mostly liked the characters and story of Syndicate, but the gameplay felt soulless all around. It had none of what makes AC distinctive, particularly in terms of parkour and free-running exploration.

melbella If I understand correctly, Hexxat died fighting the Vampire dude? There is a bit more left of her quest in the crypt, but of course she needs to be alive to trigger it. And pretty sure Anomen was a cleric last I checked
Yes, I figured as much, so I might replay the fight and try to keep her alive, just to see what happens. As for Anomen, he's one of the ones stuck with regular weapons, so isn't much use just yet. His memorized spell set might need to be revamped in order to make him more useful.

So more Assassin's Creed Syndicate today. Cletus sang his last song of mulberry pie. Good riddance to that one. Jacob took Evie out for a ride, recruited Nigel (twice since I missed the optional challenge), fibbed a murder mystery, chased down A DEMON! kidnapped quite a few people and killed a man with a carriage. Which I am quite proud of. Started by ramming him, then basically just trampled him to death using a horse. Which I do like as an option, because getting stomped by a horse in real life can really mess you up.
And berserk darts are back! But I am kinda enjoying the other ways to kill more, since Evie and Jacob bloody well respond to what I want them to do, so there is more incentives to go for the other kills since I'm not suddenly going to be stopped in my tracks since they want to spend the next three minutes humping a wall. Feels good and had a fair bit of fun.
Also been wondering, is the season pass for Odyssey worth it? As in have the dlc been any good? Since the lot is on sale and all.

Depends what price you are talking for the Odyssey and the season pass I guess, I was a sucker and paid full price for it as a pre-order but I have no regrets so far. The first DLC is being released as 3 episodes and two have already dropped and there is at least one more set of DLC to come out but I am not sure what else the season pass includes.

Curious Crow, it’s hard to say whether the Season Pass is worth the price. The main game is good while the DLC has been mediocre thus far. The same was true of Origins. Its first DLC was weak, but the second was great. I’m hopeful that Odyssey will prove the same. So far though, mediocre. I’d recommend seeing how well you enjoy the main game before investing in more of the same (but with a less interesting story).

So Civ continues that's rather annoying habbit of not giving true technological superiority. Pikemen and cities throwing boulders were able to shootdown and damage airpower...say what? Also same thing with tanks. I mean I get it in some regards that they have to have at least some damage but it was annoying nonetheless. So yes my Carriers and ground forces (tanks) showed up on SIam's home continent and meanwhile while all this is going on most of the rest of the world is devolving into a war.

C.A.M.P moving and restructuring. We get more C.A.M.P budget as we level up you have scrap it down and build it up for the game to do the recalc. So I guess the budget stays the same it is the cost that goes down? Slightly inconvenient but building is fun and I just got myself the brick building set. C.A.M.P placement just east of the watchtower overlooking the bog. BOS field scribe saving the tech. I finished my second playthrough of Odyssey today. Managed to get 100% this time. i.imgur.com/ADB9g3r.jpgAnd I managed to save my family, who are all 10 star sailors. i.imgur.com/1QEhaYu.jpgI was going to play the DLC with them, but I did the first quest and met the creepy guy I'll be forced to swoon over and have a child to, so my gay Kassandra decided to give the DLC's a miss. i.imgur.com/znIePSr.jpgA great game though.

It had none of what makes AC distinctive, particularly in terms of parkour and free-running exploration. I'm liking what I see of the twins and I'm glad to see Hastings and Rebecca. Missed these chars. I didn't know players can choose which twin to play so that's a surprise bonus for me. Evie for the win though I like Jacob too. But I suspect the twins would eventually be 'tied' to certain events. So London. I was taking in the sights, walking, marvelling at the details when I heard a woman asked; say, who do you think you are? Walking like you own the place? (or something like that). Straight away the alarms lit up. Oh sh***, I forgot this is not Odyssey! No sightseeing along the streets! I hurriedly made for the roofs. Of course not a one commented on the oddity of a woman climbing up the wall. Used eagle vision on the people below, spotted the red guys. Wait a min. Who's this blue guy? Oh, a bobby. Looked around a bit more. Mr Green indicated where Evie should go to first and it's urchins. Off we go. Hum dum dee dum. By the by, I pulled up the map and looked at the legends. This, this, this and that.... Blimey! I'm going the wrong way. arrrgghhhh!

I don't understand that at all...why couldn't the brother look better...he looks like some of the common, not great looking quest givers.

After thinking about whether I want one lvl120 character or two lvl60 characters to unlock Legion content, I decided to level two to 61, both for Legion content and unlocking Alliance rank for them, since I don't know how it's gonna work after Tuesday and I want as many characters for potential farming as possible. So I got Phantom to lvl61 and - after a bit of jumping back and forth between characters - started leveling Luminous. I was thinking about Shade, Kaiser and Ark as well, but Luminous won in the end. So with Phantom and Luminous I'll have where to spend all mana pots I'm getting on Demon and Zero. Also my mouse decided it needs permanent vacation, so since everything's closed today, I'm forced to use my old laptop mouse. I need to buy new one tomorrow

Finished chapters 2 and 3 in Diablo season, and got cheated out of a greater rift keystone. It was there - I saw it drop - and I picked it up, but it never made it to my inventory. Haven't opened my chapter rewards yet since I'm not sure which class I want to have them. I'm having fun using Archon with my wizard, but I don't really like set gear that only helps one way to play (which is what the wizard set is this time). Have to think about it some more while I grind on the chapter 4 req'ts. Which will likely take me a while.

More Assassin's Creed Syndicate today.
Think this is the second time in the series I've used a body to lure someone where I wanted them to go. And the first time it was successful. Killed a lady under some barrels to lure a target under them, but another fellow went to check it out. So decided to off him too, then proceed to miss his head and ending up using the gun. Which made a noise which the target went after instead. So hide and she decides not to investigate, but a brute who was along with her decides to look further into it. We find each other, scuffle and he dies. So figure she wont look at the other bodies now, so take his, fling it over the railing and under the barrels. She goes to check what the heck just happened, drop the barrels on her and BOOM optional challenge succeeded.
Today's gang leader to fall was Olivia, who was a sneaky little sort. Had been making Jacob do the later missions, since he's better equipped to fight. But no Olivia appeared. So figured I'd let Evie do the final mission, since I figured Olivia didn't want to show and would just turn up at the gang finale. But oh no, who greets me with a cheeky smile after the mission? Wasn't so cheeky after Evie tackled her and shanked her (somehow). But it made the final showdown a bit more dull.
Continued Jacobs quest for cough syrup and had an excellent time. Old men fighting is a hoot, but I think the scariest thing that mission was me having trouble wrecking a carriage. Since usually my vehicles in games are missing a few wheels and on fire once I get to my destination. But eventually it got wrecked. Then took Jacob where he belonged and finally managed to pull off a Unique Kill. So that was nice.
Also did Evie's quests, so took Henry out for a little outing. Carriage rides, memorabilia observations and a bit of piano playing. Good times. I worry for him, because he is so adorable and this series likes to crush hearts when it comes to that. So enjoying his company while it lasts. Also like how Jacob commented on the mission, so am now going to be looking out for more comments.
And found the one mission I did not like so far. The repairing the train bit. QTE's with numbers is a pretty big nope. But liked Nigel's snazzy gift and taking Bob out on the town. So the train missions in themselves are okay. Just no moar repairing. Just let it break, we'll be fiiiine.
Oh and found a fist fighting match I could join. And I must say, Evies wrestling outfit looks lovely. And she's delightfully brutal. So that was real nice. So all in all a grand time today.

I was playing VM yesterday after taking a bit of break to do, I dunno what HA I'd forgotten that La Croix had told me NOT to kill a single police officer while checking out the Sarcophagus on the boat. But I also don't know what else I could have done differently. I was running into the issue of having picked skills that won me things in conversations (persuasion). While not having enough lockpicking to do the Mafia Boris Side Quest. And not having enough Sneaking skill to really use that at all? I threw the wrench, it gathered three police officers out of my way. But on my way back they still hadn't moved and were blocking the way and I couldn't climb around them But I could sneak close to Assasinate them. It's all I had, otherwise I would be trapped on that boat still. So I got back to tell La Croix the deets and MAN did he blow up at me @_@ I'm also running into some confusion (because I'm trying not to spoil myself) about how not to side with factions. I remember what the Thin Blood who could see the future told me and she told me only to trust the Wolf and the guy on the couch I saved. So I'd like to choose neither faction, but can't tell if doing La Croix's quests count as being his bitch and siding with him. I've sometimes been snarky with him only for him to verbally lambast me every time, so I hope the resentful Underling thing is coming through. It's weird because, I was under the impression that I had to earn not being executed, so I thought doing these quests were 1. Earning my freedom 2. Seemed to be the MAIN quest anyway so I don't know if there is some branch behind the scenes where I could have sided Anarchs and done the same stuff. Like, I didn't want to mention Nine's was at Alistair's Mansion at all, but the game sort of makes me, so I wonder if that means the games decided that I've sided with the Primogen. In better news, I now have a cute little Thrall in my apartment named Heather. I appreciate the free food, but so far she hasn't been super useful. I don't much need to go back home for anything. Since I'm into fictionally unhealthy relationships sometimes, I like the semi evil dialogue lines where you tell her her hopes and dreams are over, and she's just going to be your slave now

On the DLC forced romance, I'm mostly ok with it except that Alexios get this pretty woman and Kass (who I've never played) gets the ugly brother. I don't understand that at all...why couldn't the brother look better...he looks like some of the common, not great looking quest givers. This sounds like “Why are the women in <recent BioWare game> so unattractive?” 😆 Neema’s reasonably pretty. I thought Natakas was reasonably nice-looking from the vids and pics I’ve seen. I’m a straight dude, so meh. I still generally know a good-looking dude when I see one. Tastes vary, always. Kassandra would be an intimidating woman to be involved with, speaking as your average 21C dude. Natakas, at least, is capable. More importantly, he understands her life. I know none of that addresses his looks. I’m just rambling at this point.

Yeah that was very much my take on Natakas, the poor guy just looks like he is going into burst into tears sometimes when talking to Kassandra.!!!!

VM: Well I can't do anything. So I went home to read email (it was weird) and taunt my ghoul-friend who is running round my apartment in her panties (thanks for the $500 ) So I go to the Museum. Go forward, see a door. Turn to the right, nothing. Turn to the left-- Fuck! What the fucking fuck! @_@ is that a fucking raptor? It doesn't attack. It seems leaned against the wall. There is a note taped there. "damned funny! You scared the crap out of the cleaning crew. Now would you put the damned raptor back in it's exhibit?" Thanks, game. You're old and you nailed that jump scare perfectly
