in bloodlines, I hit a wall of frustration. I'm attacking the Chinatown stronghold, trying to get to the boss fight. And just getting to it is very frustrating. Regardless of my 8 attack with melee weapons, those crossbow folks do alot of damage. And I'm hitting 4 or 5 of them at a time. Its enough to almost completely drain my health bar completely. On top of that, floor traps that are insta-killers. So I'm moving towards them, I go to jump over a floor trap, and get stopped mid-air by a bolt hitting me. Then I fall onto the floor trap, and die. If I wait, they simply walk over the same floor trap, and don't set it off. This is very frustrating to me.
So I put bloodlines aside for a bit, and moved onto Divinity Orignal Sin 2. I'm trying to figure out how to build my sorceress companion. I want her to be the support/healer. But idk enough about the magic, to know where to put the points.

Continued with my playthrough of the wonderful Kassandra.
The absolute fuckers. I had an inkling this might happen. I love how angry they make her here, it really adds to her character. You can just see how upset she is. The contrast with the scene just before is just marvellous. Voice is acting is so on point.
Fought a Minotaur.. .. and killed a Minotaur, for real's this time.
That whole bit was good fun, and I was about the right level (I've got it set to limited scaling, so nothing is more than 4 levels behind). It has reduced the grind a lot, and has made it feel more like Kassandra is a proper ancient heroic badass, whist still retaining some challenge.
Finally, I had forgotten just how good Kassandra is a character, this recent playthrough has knocked Trespasser off my playlist. She makes it all worthwhile.
Although, I did find the time to get married:

Been playing Warhammer 2 with a myriad of mods installed.
Started a co-op Vortex campaign as the Tomb Kings with a buddy of mine. He was Settra the Imperishable and I was High Queen Kalihda. We're on turn 50, and are ranked first and second in terms of military strength; gotta love those upkeep free armies we can raise up out of the dessert sands.
I've also been playing a solo campaign as Taurox the Brass Bull in Mortal Empires. Despite being a modded in legendary lord his play style is very fun. I'm currently enjoying myself as I raze the northwestern side of the Empire to the ground with my roving beast man hordes.

Taking a break from books. Presently watching the Square Enix presentation at E3 and struggling to stay awake. Slew after slew of Japanese games like FF, whatever. Everything Japanese start to look like clones after 10 minutes; big eyes, spiky hair, gigantic swords, cutie pie faces, hero figures, big evil figures. I'm wondering what the Avengers game would be like.
Edit. A new IP called Outriders. Possibly a horror shooter game, judging from the trailer.
The Avengers is a bit underwhelming. Throws me off because the chars in the game don't look like their cinematic counterparts and of course their VAS are not the actors. Still the VA cast is good.
Ok, it's not a single player game, it's a live service game like Anthem. No pay to win for progression, etc, etc but there's definitely some MTX somewhere, they're not saying it yet. Game is available across all platforms; consoles and PC. The question now is how much content they'll cut and shell it out later since they tout it as live service. Not a game for me though.

So more Mafia 2 today. Chapter 7 had me missing Tommy's class something fierce as the gang visited a strip club. Still, Vito was okay in it. The drive back and the visit to the observatory was nice though. Chapter 8 was fine. In Mafia 1 it would have meant at least 10 deaths, but got it through in one piece, so that was nice. Chapter 9 had kind of a stealth mission, but it was actually quite fun. Sneaking around pig corpses, not having to murder the dog and that bro move of kicking the gun to Vito. Even got a snazzy sports car out of it. No roof, but "no-one is worse though they get wet" is a saying here. Chapter 10, was again, fun. Got to visit a hotel to blow stuff up, but again did not die 10 times in combat like the similar mission in Mafia 1. Also got a mustache, which is always great. Chapter 11 did not go the way I expected. Got caught and ended up googling if I could save they guy, then it turned out he survived the cutscene I got anyways. Whooooo! Then it crashed because I took a screenshot. Oops. Second try we got out all sneaky like, but I like the cutscene better the way it went before. Either way drop buddy off go home and see lil sis crying. Find out why and smack the reason with a wine bottle. Personally I would have wanted him to stay the hell away from her, but reasons and stuff. Then go back home, take a nap AND THEY BURN THE BLOODY HOUSE DOWN! Takes like 5 tries to escape alive, but eventually make it. Also found a the same type of car as my snazzy one on the street, so they didn't take that away from me at least. But mah suits. Mah snazzy suits! Go back to Joey's place then go and shoot those bastards up. Aint nobody BBQ-ing my underpants, except me! And only on Tuesdays! Then onto Chapter 12. And that's a bad idea chief. Like Tommy said, theft-fine, murder-fine, ciggies-fine, drugs- big bag of nopes. But it goes well. Even get to fight some fake cops and get a nifty cutscene of the boys having a good time selling some dope. Then Chapter 13. And no. Get outta here with that crap. But like honestly, that's a frigging nightmare fuel right there. Sliced to death with daggers at the Park. Euuuuugh. Getting revenge felt kinda sweet. And the location was real pretty, before we coated it with blood. Chapter 14 was much drama, very sad. Also Hai Tommy, how's your grass life? Did spectacularly on the second escape attempt by driving into a pool. Ooops. Go by foot to the next street, nick a car and dive to the nearest clothing shop. Am about to purchase a snazzy shirt when the cops rudely interrupt and make the lady skittish. Shoot the cops, she's still scared (weird ) and end up just stealing a coat and leaving. Joe is still waging war on the cops, but they don't mind Vito, so just get Joe in a car and drive him home for a well deserved smoke. Final showdown would have taken FOREVER in Mafia 1. Died a bunch of time though because those feckers were cheats shootin' through the walls and Joe was stuck on climbing some planks. Stop running and climb ya bastard. But well, he was pretty beaten up about it so that was fine. Leaving Chapter 15 for tomorrow. Maybe I want to enjoy the last chapter, maybe I'm worried I'll end up staying up 'till 5 am if I continue. We never know. But both tbh. Then it's debating whether to do Joe's adventures or just move on to Mafia 3 and see what all the fuss was about. In general no chapter stuff. Got another confirmation that DUI is a bad idea, even when playing games. May have rammed straight into the front of some cars more times than I'd like to admit. Accidentally hit a car, the cops saw so pulled over to get my ticket and they just left! Like srsly I parked and got out of the car for you, you could at least have given me some paper. Maybe a slap on the wrist? Please officer I'm lonely . So yeah had a great time. The game feels a lot shorter than the first one (since I have GPS and spend far less time eating dirt while dying). But it's really solid in my opinion. So, happy about that. And a picture just for fun.

Things are going really well in my Banished village. So good, in fact, that it all starts to feel kinda pointless . Anyway, I still have some ambitions: I want Sheep. Because I want Wool. Because I want my workers to be warmer at wintertime. I have such stocks now that I can trade at any opportunity. Seeds, of course. The three Pecan orchards are going well. But the biggest didn't at first. That's how I discovered that distances and less effective clothes led to less work being done. I fixed it by increasing the workforce, plus I built a stone road. But I still want wool. More seeds, I have two Potato fields, an Apple orchard, a Pear orchard, a Corn field, a Cabbage field and a Chicken farm, but I want Sheep. There are three resources which aren't sustainable: Stone, Iron and Coal. You can pick them from the ground at first. But later I was forced to open a Quarry. I'm now happy to state that I have closed it. I will try to use it as little as possible, and buy as much stone as possible from traders. Mines and Quarries are dangerous. Back when I had a generational crisis and already lacked manpower, I had two fatal accidents in the Quarry. That left a bad taste. Firewood has turned into a great export item. And it's very sustainable. ...And I finally built a Town hall.

So yesterday, had a weird day and got side tracked doing stuff in Messara and Pephka. Finished the pre-quests for The Minotaur and took him down fairly easily and managed not to fall to my death whilst navigating The Labyrinth. Then dcided to test the Priate Crit set build out in The Arena, fought 3 or 4 opponents and then got tires of it, I hate the wave of enemies mechanic. Took some good shots in the arena and of The Minotaur but they didn't save!!!!!! Killed some merc's and a cultist as well and Hrungr did an epic Lynx battle, at least twenty of the buggers. Saw them and was going to navigate around them but what's a Misthios's life without a challenge!!!!! Plus 600+ soft leather is always a bonus!!!! So many Lynx couldn't fit them all in the screenshot!!!!! Had to settle for this shot of The Minotaur Kass taking a dive under The Milky Way Scenery

So wrapped up the main story of Mafia 2. And srsly feck you. Getting my feels up like this and then kicking me in the gut you absolute piece of... But all in all my feelings are the same as last post: Solid game, fun to play but combat can be a wee bit stiff. Going to leave the dlc for later, while the ending wears off. But at the moment I could see myself going back to the game. Maybe try out the hard level difficulty. Get some collectibles. Maybe some more achivos. The usual. So loaded up Mafia 3 and at the start, was not a fan at the start. Part of it is because I was enjoying the goofing in 2 and this is kinda serious. And a part is just learning the ropes. Then there is also a part of being freaked out by the teeth. And just being miffed in general. Had problems with the first sneak section, so lots of starting, quitting, venting, restarting, quitting , venting, ect. Until the fourth go, I decided to just say feck it, kill'em all. So stealthily killed those I could then massacred a small town. Nice. Find the room where the "boss" is hiding. Kick the door in and make mince meat with an assault rifle, until he kneels. Shoot him some more, then figure to go up to him to wrap things up, even if he should be swiss cheese at that point. Then kill my way back out. Get kicked back into the heist and wrap it up. Feck you boat and your endearment with the banks! Mardi Gras was real beautiful, even if I couldn't much enjoy it. Then there was a fun chase, with protag being the chased one. A fun escape drive, bit of singing and then a well deserved celebration. And the moment "Paint it black" started playing, I was gosh darn sold on this game . That scene was awesome and the music very fitting. So do my first racket mission and it went fairly well. So far the sneaky sneak sections are fairly easy. He's got eagle vision or something so I can mark enemies on the map/see them through walls, which is nice because they blend in pretty well. Got the next racket mission up next. First it was prostitution and next session will be them drugs. So basically ended up having more fun as the story kicked in. Controls are a bit buggy, since the protag will suddenly decide to walk on his own, usually turning to walk into the nearest wall. Which is fantastic when there is an enemy around the corner and you really should be staying in cover... So far it hasn't messed me up to much, but do hope there is a fix. Otherwise so far, so good.

Landed F14B on runway. Took off from runway. Took off from Catapult.
Completed all non weapon tutorials. Understood half, no idea how the wing sweep system works. Nor spoilers. Too lazy to attach rudders. Figured out how to rudimentarily RIO the radar.
Impression: Is heavy plane. Easy to land. Good response, not fond of instruments - especial airspeed indicator. Computer kinda analog - not so complicated. Is my first foray into detailed fighter jet. Well second, but MiG21 is heavily outdated in most MP scenarios.
Maybe I try being OPFOR cannonfodder with Fishbed one day.

Well, I've created a Paradise for my Banished community. ...Which is kinda satisfying ...but makes it somewhat pointless to continue . Still no Sheep or Wool though, so there is that. Also, it would be nice to grow Peaches, Cherries, Plums. I was briefly at 100% average health and 100% average happiness. Still at 100% happiness (and that's without a Brewer or Chapel).

Continued with Mafia 3 today. In non spoilers. I'm disappointed with the law in this game. A behemoth of a man can loose them on foot and once he's outta sight they loose interest right quick. They don't even bother with wanted posters or anything even if they know he's heavily armed and feeling quite stabby. For shame. But granted it makes evading them less of a hassle. Also found that reloading the game sometimes fixes his desire to walk into walls, sometimes not. Using the cars as measurement of how bad it's gonna be, since if they fart fire a lot, things are bad. If their farts are fire free, Lincoln will usually behave. Oh and also rammed a motor boat over a crocodile (or alligator? It was green, mean and swimming in a swamp). And he wasn't even fazed. Which seems out of character but it's nice not having to worry about them while sailing in the waters. Not quite sure if I'm ready to swim with them though... And more spoilery recap of what was done. Pictures this time around, not in their own spoilers, so be doubly careful. Overtook the Hollow's district for Cassandra. Which included dealing with the drugs and a fun trip through the local amusement park, hearing the tale of the Rougarou! And shooting people I guess. Also got to hang a bloke on a ferris wheel so that was fun. Then got a cheeky little bible verse before moving on. Went back to Donovan and he gave me leads on the other two Lieutenants. Ended up visiting this handsome devil first. Vito was having a bit of a...cool down in the freezer. So saved him and had a nice little cutscene. Then spent some time staring at him waiting for him to give me take over mission. But no, he just worried about Lincoln and his pickle. Drove around town searching for places to take over but found nothing. Did some Weed Deliveries for Cassandra to see if his quests would pop up, but nuthing. So ended up googling it and found out that the game was being buggy, but reloading might help. And there was a whiny little pooch wanting to go for walkies. So close the game, walk the pooch and start the game up. It opens at Father James house. So ended up visiting the other lieutenant Burke since he felt like he was closer. His face for reference. So met him and his quests opened up right away so ended up doing those, which involved Moonshine and Protection. Protection was fun since it involved a slaughterhouse. Even if it just had cows and humans instead of pigs...Moonshine was alright. Died a lot in those bits. Granted because I was being impatient and wading into bullets, but let's blame the booze instead. Either way, got to Burke's big finale which was a shootout in his junkyard. Actually shot the boss down pretty much the moment he arrived but took longer to kill his goons and couldn't find one of them since he was either well camouflaged or stuck somewhere else. So the boss was just there kneeling while we looked for him. Burke eventually found him and shot him down so we could move on with the story. Alas no ferris wheel but let's just say his legs are dust. Kinda literally. Got touching cutscenes with Burke and his daughter then headed over to help Vito since his quests had popped up. Talked to his two under lieutenants but leaving the quests until tomorrow when there is more time and stuff. So the game is growing on me. Seeing how the take over missions might get repetitive but am making my own fun so far. But the story is nice. Also enjoying all the little conversations in the background. And it's nice to just be able to put the petal to the metal, since the law doesn't seem to care about Lincoln doing 125 in a probably 40 district. So long as he doesn't hit anybody. Or well, so long as he doesn't hit anybody in the fancy neighbor hoods. Which is it's own kind of sad. So yeah, good session.

So a small amount of ACOD yesterday. Found myself near the island that Pythagoras is on so decided to knock that part of the game over as I'd already killed the Minotaur, then went and killed The Sphynx and happened upon the only two mercenaries that were above me in the top tier S4. So chased them down and actually made easy work of them, was mostly disappointed because I have never got that wide brimmed farmers hat and the top guy was wearing one and I hoped I'd get it as loot but alas no. Damn it I wanted your hat!!!! Hi Dad Oooh Australia Poor Sphynx

More Kassandra.
Met (one of) my lover(s): .. then might have accidentally killed her ex-fiance..
.. and them may have accidentally lied to her about the whole thing.. Still, at least I met my mum. Which all round was rather marvellous. Don't trust that Aspasia woman though. Dunno why. And no, no spoilers please; I don't want to know. Finally, managed to utterly friendzone two people at once, which was a result.

Posted a day ago from the Fallout 76 thread:
So I played a bit of Nuclear Winter last night. While I waited for the game to load up I was placed in a lobby which was Vault 51: the one conducting the experiment with other players and we started punch each other and explored the vault. I found it pretty nice that we were placed in a location where we can wave at each other and read the lore of Vault 51 in which parts of the story is locked and can be accessed if you level up your Overseer Rank.
Speaking of leveling up you can gain perk cards that are unique to Nuclear Winter and can gain card pack if you level up or do complete achievements which are fairly easy to do and I personally completed challenges without even knowing otherwise leveling up is pretty much the same as it was in the base game. When you enter the Vault, you are stripped of equipment and you either wear the default Vault 51 suit or the stuff you purchased from the Atom Shop which is kinda of a clever business strategy on Bethesda’s part. It’ll be a matter of time before I’m put into a lobby full of Silver Shrouds. XD
So as for the gameplay it’s the same as any Battle Royale however I surprisingly found it more fun than Fortnite and Apex. They nailed the aesthetic of Fallout while making the game fair for everyone by placing bobble heads and weapons in relativity easy places to find and they encourage teamwork and communication. The games didn’t drag and you didn’t feel cheated when you lose. Over all I was really skeptical since Bethesda was jumping on the Battle Royale bandwagon but really enjoyed playing the game. They put a lot of effort into it and it shows. I really had any lag and I only saw a few players disconnect. It was an over a smooth and addicting experience, I’m looking forward towards seeing what else they have in store!

So yesterday did a lot of sailing almost 20km as I was in Makedonia and decided to reveal some "?" and clear most of them and then moved to Thasos and did the same then to Lesbos as it was the only placed I hadn't been to yet. I then sailed from East to West and then all the way North to South and again East to open the whole of the sea map. Fought some sea battles, one epic one for a new sail (For the "Wave Cutter") which I am not using, where it started as The Adrestia Versus one ship but then at least 6 Pirate ships "materialised" literally, they just rose up out of the sea!!!!! Prior to my sea adventures, fought two of the cyclops, killed some merc's, got into several scraps with Lynx where I almost died, hunted various animals and completed the first two parts of Barnabas "A Friend to Die For" quest" as well as Finding Xenia's treasures for her. Pic's Found these two guys and brought them together and they fished lived happily ever after. Kass taking down a Son of Ares Some nice moonlight scenery and a change of gear Sailing, sailing and more sailing and for almost 20 minutes of constant storms Pephka Bull riding

Mafia 3 for the last two days. Got Vito his district and then had a sit down with the crew. Needless to say they hate each others guts. Cool. Then did all of their asset missions, cuz I'm nice like that. Now I have a bit of a dilemma. There are apparently multiple endings. Of course I want to get the ones that favor Vito because...well damn. Look at him! But I don't really want to screw the other two over too much. So need to do some delicate balancing. So today's session was just whittling down the extra tasks for the rackets while I try to decide who gets what and when. Got two district ready to go and just need to deal with the Downtown. Also took the time to wiretap the bayou. Because where is the juicy gossip except there? Non story things that happened. Think my favorite car in the game is the little beetle one. Mostly because it's crazy and sometimes does a flip because it hit a tiny curb or something. Even got a glorious moment where it did two flips, landed on it's wheels and kept trucking. It's also just compact and cute. Second are the cars without roofs, since they look good and tend to drive good as well. Less keen on the sports cars since they fart fire. And aint nobody got time for large trucks and stuff. But on the bright side they can ram through pretty much everything so when the game calls for using them it isn't too bad. Got the cops called on me for loitering. Granted I did also steal the tactical vest and some cash hidden in the backroom (thought it was one of those abandoned houses, but nope it was the shop of a man who could see through walls!) But that's not the point. The cops reason for arresting me clearly said it was for loitering. Which is a bit like Lollygagging. Skyrim guards approve! Also got the cops summoned for erratic driving. Since I may have swiveled between opposite lanes, hitting three cars while trying to navigate. But to this I say finally! Take back road safety! Granted I did not let them catch Lincoln since they are less handcuffs/tickets and more bullets/beatings...But it was the thought that counted! So basically mostly fun times driving and busy working.

Been trying The Division 2 this weekend since its a free play weekend. I doubt I will continue to play after this weekend for my experience is making me think its going to have a population like The Division 1 until something changes in the game. As far as what I have done I have made it to level 12 so far while encountering the Hyena faction while completing several missions to undermine their hold on DC.
The skill system is frustrating and not very good for you have to make a lot of sacrifices to get your skill points to a level where they can start gaining benefits from mods for those skills. So right now I am using a chem launcher to provide healing and rotating between different abilities as my second to see something that I find useful.
The combat feels pretty close to the original game and the enemies at least don't feel nearly as much of a sponge as the original game either.
The biggest knock I have against the game is it seems to be next to impossible to find a group at least while leveling. I am struggling to determine if I am going to go back into the game or not tomorrow.

I am struggling to determine if I am going to go back into the game or not tomorrow. This was almost exactly my experience, I think I stopped at L10. I played the first game solo and then post game did some Co-Op stuff which I enjoyed but TD2, I struggled playing solo and kept asking for help or trying to group but with no luck. I think I missed the early rush and people didn't want to help on low level missions or help a low level person. Intend to go back to it but its not a priority.

...Pumpkins, Peppers, Plums, and... - Sheep! At last. Wool and warm coats. I suppose I'll stick around long enough to fix them up with Cherries, Peaches, Beans and Squash, but I'm frankly done with this. I'll play another game sometime, now that I know how to do things 'right'. But that can wait.

Surprise surprise it's a Mafia 3 update from me. No clever pictures though, so here is one of Lincoln taking a swig of something. So wrap up Downtown and give it to Vito with bow'n'all. Final mission was fun and used Vito's men to get me out of a clinch, so like, of course he'll get dis hood. Also get a lovely lady who's willing to take the cash of my hands. Which is handy since it was a bother to head home each time the pockets got heavy with cash, and doubly a bother loosing a big chunk of it if Lincoln bit the bucket. So being able to make a call and get someone to my district is real nice. Just need to remember to make that call... Then move on to Barclay Mill's where guns'n'garbage get given to Cassandra, because she likes guns and she's...Nah just kiddin' she's alright. Also bye Maria, your freak out when Lincoln entered the room will be remembered and cherished. That final mission for that district was Nice. Cassandra gets the district, since as she says she's running it and figure her upgrades will benefit me more in the long run. Meanwhile Burke is getting antsy, which is understandable. So went ahead and said hi to the four new contracts before dealing with Tickfaw Harbor. Burke got Cars and Smuggling, since he likes car and probably has a sneaky side to him. Didn't get the boss alive for smuggling since Gina told me to kill Junior and what Gina asks Gina gets. So go for that final mission. And you know how it goes. Get gunned down two times because maaaaaybe I was taking shots the same times as Lincoln was before driving. Maybe just tired. Either way, plant a bug on a car and then escape by merging into a set piece boat. As you do. Clipping is love clipping is life as no one says. Just happy that the boat was long enough to get out of the "escape radius". So restart the game and go after the districts main boss. And it's a car chase, so double hard mode for me at the moment. Either way, fellow driving is more sauced than I was an manages to get himself stuck on that little slope to the high way. So park in front of him, kill the guy with him and neutralize the boss. And then a bloody car goes driving up the slope, catches the boss on the front of his car and pushes him a fair bit away. Had a good chuckle over that, but luckily the boss got loose and I could get to him and his emotional cutscene. But was so amused that even if this would have broken the quest I might not even have gotten mad. And yes Burke got the district, hopefully enjoyed it since he got the shortest straw of the 4-3-2 distribution plot. Guessing next session is busywork for the lieutenants to calm them down, busywork for the under lieutenants to get them all chill and then busywork for the districts before hell is raised once more. I do kinda find myself missing the investing bits from Saints Row, but at the same time, i fully get why no one would sell to Lincoln and how risking that much attention would be really stupid on his part. But like, renovations and stuff, you know? But all in all, having fun so far.
