I only played the beta version of Division 2. I'm waiting for the price to drop before I purchase the game. In the mean time, I will continue playing Spider-man, and the other day I bought Darksiders 3. Looking forward to playing that game later.

So wrapped up DDtOS. All in all it was allright. Felt way too long nearing the end, so many times where I just felt lost in the plot and finding traps was super annoying. But the plot was nice (or well what I understood of it), combat was fun when it went my way and the areas were real pretty. Don't think I'll be replaying for achivo's though. Longer session ponderings and spoilers. Looked up where the spirit was and realized I hadn't triggered one waypoint on my map. So mosey over there and then sneak my way into the cabin on the other side. Try killing the dude in there but hehehe he kicked our arses. So exit the cabin and murder everyone in the vicinity of it. Then return and paint the cabin red. And open the door for some spirit who seemed pretty neutral about that whole business.
Open a cage door for our buddy and he helps us kick some arse. Enemy dead, he goes back in cage which is still open. Talk to him. PLZ Hunter free me from this cage :'C Aiiight. Close cage. Open cage again. Thank you ( >.uwu.)>
Solved half of the Source temple's entrance on my own, used a guide for the other half (after wandering around clueless for like 20 min). Tried getting deeper inside it but the door said no. So went hunting for the rest of the blood stones.
Sneakily wreck a totem in the goblin village and nick the stone before ghosting out.
Then realize that Wolgraff had like three extra stones in his pocket so used one and got a very dramatic cutscene.
Go deeper into the temple and find more puzzles and hahahaha I ain't spending time on that. So just use a guide for it. Did solve the candle bit on my own though.
Make it to the end and find out that my princess is knocked out in this castle and Bowser left without her.
So go back home to use the portal there. But my companion says nah we ain't ready. So lolly gag some more, doing nothing and next time Kraven asks she's up for it.
Turns out we should have grinded more. Hahaha. :'C
So it's murder time. Raided the troll's kings treasury (again) but this time with murder on the mind. Now we are King of the Trolls! Yahoo. Murder the residents of Sacred Stone for the xp. And granted they were pretty evil, but it was not on my mind as we squeezed the life out of them. Also kill some troll and slavers on the bridge. The slaves got away. Darn it. Also kill some Death Knights, took a couple of tries but we have reload, they don't.
Then inventory management until I give up and just yolo it again.
Foreknowledge and 1 more level make the difference and we pummel the fool who stood in her way.
Then a very long battle, because thou must wait for the invulnerability to wear off. But combat went fine.
Enter the portal and get a glorious moment where we whomp some Death Knight arses with the rod of massive cheese.
Then the final boss. And I knew he was trouble when he flew in! That took like 10 tries or something. But my people never KO'd! It was the spirit ally I tells yah.
Finally we pull it off. But not before he wrecks our troubled sisters. Like obliterates them. And I might have reloaded and tried to keep them alive...MIGHT have if I wasn't super lazy.
So just go through the end. Everyone is happy, Kraven and Aerie get fired from their guardian jobs and sent back to regular old source hunting.
And according to Zixzax they ended up "Starting a steamy romance- a story for the ages!" and I didn't even ship them. But alas it seems I've created "Rivellon's first pair of cohabiting arch-nemeses." So that was something. Did start DDtOS2 and spent way longer than I planned on it. Good it's sunday tomorrow I guess. Still just prodding along seeing how things work. But I must say, them dwarf ladies looking good.

I have been playing a friends account for he is done with the game so I can give it a try. Really I think the game has a lot of problems after you finish leveling its just running the same missions over and over again hoping that RNG upon RNG upon RNG loot gives you a really good upgrade combined with not having in game match making for the raid really seems to have made the player base (at least on PC empty).

That sounds very much like TD1 but in that game I really enjoyed the story limited as it was and its premise, the base upgrading, the exploring of NY (have never been there) and the combat versus the various enemies. I also liked the collectible stuff like the phone recordings etc. but the main thing was I could play the whole game solo whereas I struggled in TD2 and when I requested back-up it never came. The Grind post game kept me interested for a few months as I built gear sets and I got good enough to play higher difficulties even solo. I was able to keep going for more months after that as I had also met some people by then online and could do the incursions with them and also do missions on challenging plus grind out The Underground missions with a friend to get better gear. The problem with TD2 after the initial part of the game it just wasn't grabbing me and DC just didn't have the same atmosphere as NY. Maybe I just need to give it more time but I also think part of the struggle for me was having reached the top of the heap in TD1 its hard to face the grind to get there in TD2. Oh well, will give it a try again in a while, still finishing a PT of ACOD and started a new MEA PT, maybe will try it after that and see if it grabs me. Thanks fo the response.

W3. In Skellige. I wised up from the last PT so I'm mostly following the road. I did climb to one of the mountain peaks during exploration because I was already close to it; one of the broken ruin buildings. I was all prepared to start skateboarding when I tried jumping along the ridge to the top but I was pretty cautious so I didn't slide. From there, I just skateboard all the way down the other side to one of the ? marks. Picked up another quest I've never done; a woman claiming none can beat her. geralt was all ready to fight. She then said she never heard of him and she had defeated "great fighters and men" so to prove he's someone of worth, she asked him to dive for a sword that's said to be unbreakable or something like that, then she'll fight him. ... dumb quest. ok, fine, I'll get the sword, come back and swat your bottom.

Oh well, will give it a try again in a while, still finishing a PT of ACOD and started a new MEA PT, maybe will try it after that and see if it grabs me. Thanks fo the response. I will be a tad more specific now, hopefully you don't mind. Right now I think things like the phone recordings are inferior to what was in Division 1 unless you are just talking about the task of finding them. Most of the recordings I have found will relate directly back to characters were know and have dealing with unlike the Division 1 where it gave you a feeling of what was happening in the city. An example would be one of the recordings was of a couple of people from a settlement talking about joining the Hyenas and then that leader comes in and will say what the Hyenas do to people and she will kill them on site if they are wearing their colors. Unlike the division 1 where it would be random people talking about the struggles and problems they are having. As far a backup goes I think the problem with it is that its level gated so if you request help while leveling the people that have already gone beyond what you are doing won't see it so you have to hope someone around your level is available. I know for me that request for backup became frustrating because I wanted to help people, but because I was already in a mission or in the middle of another activity the game would erase my progress if I went to help. The grind in The Division 1 for me was better because you could make sets for different builds, but I found a skill based build to be nearly impossible to make without sacrificing being effective without skills and the downtime is too much to rely just on skills. I find there isn't much way to make different sets in the game that make you effective either, most people have abandoned using the item sets and stick with high end gear that just maximize damage you do with the weapon of your choice. Part of that problem is that there are six sets in the game. Two will only drop from Black Tusk which is from running invasions and that is an even more limited about of missions per week (five if I am thinking clearly), one is crafted that require you to farm Black Tusk for some drops and then specific missions for a final piece, and three sets will only drop in the raid which is four bosses on a one week reset. I personally preferred the atmosphere they created in The Division 1 and I was really hoping they could carry it over, but it just feels like something is missing when it comes to the atmosphere of the game. Some people told me that they felt the weather and day night cycle does it for them, but to me that just changes how well I can see. I have actually started a new character in Division 1 for at times I find it the superior game.

I have been methodically re-playing a bunch of games (DAI, Tomb Raider, Uncharted series, The Witcher)and I am currently replaying Horizon Zero Dawn. I need a new game! I cant get through Skyrim or Red Dead 2 sadly.
I recently played Dragon Quest 11 - I haven't played a JRPG in years and I was surprized that I enjoyed it.So as a result I am considering Final Fantasy XII or Tales of Vesperia. Any one played these games???? What about Assassins: Odyssey? Is that game any good for a diehard DAI lover?

I experienced my first game breaking glitch in a Bethesda game (Skyrim). The gate to Castle Volkihar wouldn't open when approach by Serana because I had already been to the gate entrance previously. Ending the Dawnguard DLC for me right there because I wasn't going back 40+ hours of gameplay, or so I thought. Thanks to the beautiful people online that have figured out ways to glitch through the wall, I was able to continue.

I picked up Everspace in the steam sale. it's a rogue-like space ship game thing. It's quite fun but also hard, although I am not that good at these games. I have a tendency to end up sitting still and acting as a gun turret, which is not good.
Entering a system I see a tempting target, a destroyed ship with loot including lot's of cash (cash is the only loot / or equipment that carries over between deaths, and you use to upgrade your ship). As I approach I am jumped by some outlaws! Badly damaged but alive, I deal with the last fighter and head back to salvage. Hopefully there may be some nanobots I can use to repair. No such luck; it's mainly money and resources. Nevermind, just get the last one and.. Taking a hammering, I try to lose them in the wreckage..
.. but then I make the aforementioned tactical error, with predictable results:

I have actually started a new character in Division 1 for at times I find it the superior game. Of course I don't mind!!! Yeah it was the detail of the recordings etc I liked, also the collecting but more the insight into what was going on. I figured re the back up thing that it was because people weren't interested, I don't think its gated as the game is deigned to level you up to the level of the people that come to help. I actually had that happen in the Alpha or Beta or whatever it was before release. Yeah I only ground in TD1 to make sets which then usually got nerfed anyway!!!!! I agree totally re the atmosphere, there was always a dark foreboding in TD 1, even during the day time and playing solo I was always on edge, especially early on. It didn't feel like that in TD2. I went back and played some TD1 about 12 months ago, just to run around and have some fun and also made a new character and yes it was more enjoyable than TD2.

In the Show:
So my winning streak is now up to tying the Major League record with 20 set by the 2002 Oakland Athletics. Bad news Pedroia broke his leg but then I got to 'create' and add Michael Chavis to my game who I am quite shocked isn't in the game. But he is now. In his debut He drove in a run with a single, hit his first home run, and hit a Sac Fly worth 3 RBIs.
Devers hit his 8th Home Run. Pearce hit his eleventh. Chris Sale fresh off his no hitter threw a 2 hit complete game shut out. Plus a bunch of Strike Outs. Strasburg has worked out his problems and pitched very well, 8 shut out innings. And I threw 6.1 shutout innings with 12 strikeouts 3 Hs and 1 W. I was a bit tired so I couldn't finish and the bullpen had a rough one Brasier finished the 7th but I needed 3 pitchers for the eigth. I took a 4-0 lead in the inning but in the next one Brasier gave off a lead off home run so I put in Miller, he got the bases loaded, Barnes walked in a run...but he got out of it with further damage. Moreland had himself a hell of a game for the final one. He was struggling mightily going 0-4 but the next game he helped lead the way in a 10-2 victory went 3-3 with 4 RBIs. Got hit by a pitch which drove in a run and then hit a two run double.

W3. Moved on to Ugly Baby. Before that I cleared up everything in Skellige. For Last Wish quest, I still stick to the choice of Yen (it's her expending everything she had to give in her attempt to save Geralt when he was stabbed with a pitchfork. Triss declared it a hopeless effort but Yen never gave up. Despite being beaten and injured, she gave her all and died beside Geralt. That more than anything else convinces me. This is entirely from the books btw). The most interesting thing is that the author intended the chars served the plot in the books, he never intended a 'right' or 'wrong' choice for Geralt. So ultimately, it's the readers and players who debated about it. I gave all the ocean ? marks at Skellige a miss. Closed up the armourer quest at Crows Nest. I also chose to end Karadin, the witcher who killed another. One lie after another, time to poke holes. I skipped a few other SQs because they're fillers; a waste of my time. Also no intention of doing the DLC about the mirror man; not much fun in that one except for meeting Shani.

Spent the past week in full FO4 settlement crack addict mode. Did nothing much else this weekend. It was 30+ degrees in my top floor apartment but I didn't care. Had a fan blowing air in my face, that made gaming bearable.
Managed to finish the Children Of Atom settlement! It looks AMAZING, if I dare say so. (Pics later, at the office right now.) Well, almost finished. I still need settlers. I found a mod that allows you to spawn settlers with a unique ID that you can modify to your liking in the Looks Menu.
Oh. My. God. Game changer!!!
How did I not know this existed. Since 2017 too?!?! I can now create completely unique settlers looking exactly how I need them for my themed settlements. YES! Now I can create the most digusting looking Children Of Atom with burns and hair falling out. AMAZING STUFF!!!
It's not quite that easy to do as with your own character since you're not able to turn the head. You just freeze them in place and bring up the Looks Menu with all the options for the player character. Can't tell what half of the sliders do when the angle isn't right. I think I'll just use vanilla presets as a base and only slightly modify them. This way they don't turn into complete abominations like my first attempt...
This opens up so many possibilities, omg. I can create REAL raiders with nasty scars, blackened eyes, broken noses, and face paint and fitting hair styles. So very cool. Screw making barbie dolls like 90% of people who download this mod, lol! If only I had found this mod sooner! But I won't go back to my previous settlements and start swapping settlers. Too much work.
Before I can record/upload my settlement I need to look into getting a decent mike at last. The headset I've been using has awful noise. It cost 150 bucks, what the hell?! Also, my portable DAC died while I was on vacation for unknown reasons and I don't have on-board sound. Using my headset to get sound... sucks. I spent 500 bucks on the DAC a few years ago. Loved its 3D surround feature. This really bums me out. I don't think I'll get a replacement, warranty is long over. I'll contact them anyway. Maybe they do battery swaps which seems to be what's broken.

So I gave Civ V some rest and started Heroes of Might & Magic V (original) Campaign. The first 2 missions were like rookie tier tutorials. Mission 3 wasn't bad, and its only getting good with mission 4. Well at least the cutscenes have been cool!

Well the co-op Tomb King campaign I was playing was rendered unplayable thanks to game/mod updates so my buddy and I have started a new modded Vortex campaign (at least until this one breaks). We decided on the lizard men for this one. I'm taking the reigns as Tehenhauin, the Prophet of the Sotek. My friend is going with Gor-Rok, the great albino saurus champion of Izta. So far the modded Gor-Rok is stomping all over the Skaven in central Lustria, while my skink Moses and his followers are struggling to take the coast.

Awww man, have been playing a little Vader Immortal Ep.1 this weekend. And as a Star Wars fan I have to say: AWESOME! Just wielding a light saber with the right sound effects (the low hum as you move the blade slowly and the higher pitch zoom as you swing faster), deflecting lasers, parrying and slicing stuff is just fantastic for any Star Wars nerd. Even the training session against the little remotes are super fun. And when there are a bunch of Stormtroopers firing at you and you kill them by sending laser bolts back, you do feel like a jedi. I mean, sure, the lasers fly very slowly to give you time to react and get the blade in the right position but it's still just fast enough to feel "right" and still very powerful. Well done! The game is very story driven. In fact, I'd say sometimes there is too much happening to me and I don't get enough to do myself (and I love elaborate stories with many cutscenes). But otherwise, it's pretty cool so far. I only got to play about half an hour or so (and I hear the episode is very short even for a VR game) but even if it's only 2 hours long or so, I'd say it was worth the 10 bucks. I pay that for a movie ticket as well and this is more fun IMO. Looking forward to finisg this one and the coming Episodes.

More VtMB my little Ventrue got rid of the first two plaguebearers (I hate the Nosferatu, Brother Kanker, that's a really tough fight, Jezebele Locke is a breeze in comparison9. Then she made a trip to Santa Monica to investigate the Elizabeth Dane and now she goes after the third plaguebearer, Bishop Vic. The crackhouse nearly made me quit the game when first playing VTMB. But now, I like it.

Firstly it was Yennefer who wanted to leave both Geralt and Cirri behind and flee the battle, and it was Triss who said she was the fourteenth on the hill and they couldn't make her flee in fear again. Triss knew the spell Yennefer was casting wouldn't work on Geralt because he was sterile. Triss was a specialized healer, Yennefer wasn't. Secondly, Yennefer never died because she gave her all, she died because Geralt died, and the last wish had bound their fates.

Two more games of baseball.
The first one I won 12-1 against the Blue Jays for my 21st straight win in a row which is...quite impressive. Quite the offensive display and the game just rushed by. David Price went 8.2 innings and gave up a home run in the ninth inning to spoil that bid but then Heath Hembree closed things out.
Second game sure was a wild one. Rick Porcello gave up three earned in the first inning off of a three run home run to Randall Grichuck. Then he settled down. Bottom of the first though I came roaring back putting up four runs of my own on four hits incuding someone I think hitting...yeah Moreland led the way with a two run single. But bizarely al 4 of them were unearned because of ONE error being commited on Bennintendi allowing him to get to first. Which is a crock of crap because it really shouldn't effected anything else. And from there...annoying. It was a grind fest. The score would stay 4-3 Sox until the top of the eighth when Kevin Pillar hit a Home Run off of Matt Barnes, blowing the save...just the second one of those all season. Eovaldi came out for the ninth, got in trouble, then enduced the around the horn double play to end the inning and keep it tied. It would be untied in the bottom of the tenth when Michael Chavis, who already had one RBI at that point, came up. I don't know if it was out of frustration or what but Betts was on second (after stealing the base) and Chavis hit a grounder up the middle, don't know if I thought it would go through or if I was just frustated at potentially letting the opprotunity pass but I sent Betts around third and well the shortstop bobbled it (similar to a play from earlier in the game from Boegarts which helped start the bleeding) and then threw home and Betts scored. What should've been maybe a routine groundout to first resulted in me walking it off. Betts led the way with three hits, a double and two stolen bases and again Chavis had the two RBIs.

Saw the endings to Sinking City. Didn't like any of them.
***** W3. Went to the Crones' party. I really wanted to swipe the sword at the old man who acknowledged everyone knew what happened to the orphans. Hey, better them than us, don't need more mouths to feed. I doubt he believed the girls and young men who went up there come back down again. But then, those people were more concerned with their lives. They jolly well knew they're worshipping monsters. As long as you don't eat me, I'll do whatever you say.
Cackling old woman who kept the key. I wanted to kick her off her chair but I knew it's not really the old woman who spoke but one of the crones.
The one difference between this PT and the previous is that Geralt did not have an option to offer a magic acorn at the end. So I guess it's something I did not do earlier that erased this option. Whatever, he told the villagers to get by on their own and quit depending on magic, etc.
Since the oak was originally a druids place before the Crones killed them and took over, hopefully they would come back and cleanse it. Since I released the spirit of the tree, hope it would hunt down the last surviving crone.

I've to add another thought while playing W3. I thought the game pretty grim in the first PT. In this second PT, with regards to the problem of war orphans and the state of the children in the game world. The former were not welcomed by villagers who saw them as a burden with food so scarce. That is understandable. The latter lived normal lives, fed and clothed, freedom to do and play as they liked in the villages in the war zone. But I felt something was off and this kept niggling at me. Every time I see the kids happily playing, I thought, great, they're ok. But the setting didn't feel right to me.
If there's hardship and scarcity of needs from the war, would children capable of work be running about at will? Would they be playing happily or working in the fields with their parents or doing house or farming chores? Would they be slouching around when they should be learning a craft from their fathers or a master?
