I picked up an Xbox Games Pass because it includes the cost of Xbox live and costs not a great deal more. Downloaded for the first time: Fable left me cold, just too old, too slow, too D&D trope-filled to cope with. But Fable II is cute. Though everyone I meet wants to get into my pants, and everyone get the fuck out of my house...

I played a little more Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and a side quest where you needed to find an amulet for a couple wanting to leave the starter island, followed by a little exploration and getting the two sync points. After doing that I worked on getting the Cyclops Eye and then worked on dispatching people who just arrived on the island.
I think with Odyssey unlike the other Assassin's Creed games for me at least I am going to have to find a hour or so to dedicate to the game so I feel like I accomplish something and not like I normally play games in 20min chunks.

Well, Sinking City is a epic games store title. Not that I'm interested in the title, I didn't like the gameplay but felt the mystery was interesting. ***** Back to W3, I cleared the southern zone, mostly Velen. Was stumped a bit when I tried to get into Oxenfurt to talk to the Baron's daughter. I didn't have a pass so I tried to get one by doing the Redanian captain's quest regards missing supply. I chose not to attack the Scoia'tael this time and opted to talk to the commander, Vernossel (I like her face tattoos). Frankly I'm surprised they would want to talk. In Thronebreaker, they were mostly filled with hate and would have no dialogue at all, preferring to kill and torture. The latter was so horrific that it was difficult to ramp up sympathy for them. Nevertheless, I could empathise with their hatred. Chose not to interfere / kill Vernossel and her people and also chose not to tell the captain the cause of the missing supplies. That meant he didn't give me a pass so I ended up getting one from the merchant. Finished the Bloody Baron (he took Anna to the Blue Mountains) and the Crones quests so it's Novigrad next. And now, for a fav gal.

Well, 4 capitals captured, spent like about 6000 coins on my base city in the new continent (probably not necessary!), and here I'm not gonna go to war with Kamehameha over 'Beijing' cuz he has such a strong military (plus several atomic bombs, while I barely have 1)... so advancing towards Celts and Byzantines is the plan.

I played some alpha protocol last night. It was on the news about no longer being available on steam, and I remembered it existed. I passed my orientation, customized myself, got above a 100 score on all 3 courses (darcy really needs to learn to take no for an answer!), and beat every middle east mission. I...might have played it for 6 hours yesterday. I forgot how much fun this game was! I wasn't able to get enough for the super duper ultra chocolatey fudge coated pistol you can get right in the beginning of the game. So instead I got the second best one, and the second best smg's. I'm going to try to be sneaky, but if I get spotted, i'm going loud and mowing down people with smg's. I've never used SMG's before, so thats what I want to try on this run. Normally, I got pistol and rifle. I have 1 last mission to do in the middle east, then I get to the real meat of the game. I'm not sure where I want to go...anyone have any good suggestions for a guy fresh out of langley? If not, I'm leaning towards greece. I want to get the trophy hunter acheivment, and the golden gun might be fun for a bit. So far, I've got 3 poitns in stealth, 3 in pistols, and 3 in martial arts. I also have 2 in...the skill that makes your med kits better, and 1 in the skill that lets you scavenge more ammo/resources.

Yeah it can be frustrating, its a huge game but if you want to prioritise any missions the family quest and the cultists are the main ones and then of course finding your dad but that's best left to last in terms of the games overall timeline. And other than that you should look to do all the quests with the black and gold icons as they often relate to the main story in one way or another. The other quests with the hourglasses are really only useful for gathering money and resources.

The Sims 4 was free recently on origin, so i thought I'd bag it and give it a go.
Never played a Sims before, it's surprisingly fun!
However, the eye gouging cost of expansions is not amusing.

DDtOS
Did a bunch of quests in the mines, then realized I forgot to turn in one quest which had become unavailable. Then groaned in frustration as I realized my quick saves had overwritten each other and my last proper save was around the bit where I entered the mine. UGH.
And it was also before I managed my inventory, so double ugh. So spent half an hour reorganizing, re-equipping, realizing I had lost some obscure armor with the stat boost I needed, made peace with it and kept on sorting.
Then finished the mine and third time was the charm. Then was faced with the fact that i had no idea what I was supposed to be doing so...
Did the Immaculate test and failed it spectacularly due to excellent immune system and scary effects on rocks. But it was cool, I already had the amulet and an offer of a free eggs, each day, delivered by the hen itself!
Met a real queen of the spiders and snagged a pic for a top post if I'm still playing this game. Didn't do much in her area though since all the encounters seemed lethal.
Also got some more fuel for Wolgraff and Bairdotr ship, especially since that hunky troll she was crushing on has a dainty girlfriend now.
Made my way to Hunters Edge where intrigue and stuff waits, but was starting to glaze over dialog and sneaking to look up puzzle solutions, so leaving it for a later date when I feel more focused. But it was an okay session I guess.

W3. I realised what was bothering me every time I see Geralt in cutscenes. He's "fat". He's "fat" because the Griffin armour bulk him up and it looked as if he had a paunch as well. Found it more and more annoying and finally dumped the manticore armour, dyed black, on him. He looks better. Another thing also bothers me. Why are devs obessed with cheese? There're cheese scattered everywhere in DAI and now there's a cheese mage, nutty about cheese. So nutty he made a cheese maze and he tortured subjects with cheese.

I stopped wearing the Griffin armour for the same reason, I wonder if someone has made a mod to fix it as people were talking about it when the game came out. I like the Cat Armour best for its look and it suited my play style best and then the Wolf school armour. As to the cheese, I have no actual fact based idea but I thought it must have had some root in the term "cheesing it" as in when you find a way to game a combat situation that isn't actually cheating but makes it easier. Like when you can shoot round a door and the enemies are gated so that they can't go past a certain point to attack you.

Every time I see it, I think of corset. Geralt is wearing a corset. The latter versions, grandmaster legendary, for wolf and cat look similar, reminds me of swashbuckling. I settled for manticore because it looks neat and fit him properly. As usual, black is not really black. I don't know why some games just couldn't get it right.

I agree about the Griffin Armor making Geralt look fat around the midsection.
I never made any Bear Armor so I don't know how it looks, but it's the heavy variant so he probably looks as fluffy as Varric in Avvar armor.

Because cheese jokes are Gouda. DDtOS Yesterday I caused havoc at Hunters Edge. Made some potent Whiskey to make my fellows feel good. Killed rats and then their king (so yeah, also nabbing the title King of the Rats thankyouverymuch). Then got the fellow who pretended to rule the rats killed as well. Stole almost everything that wasn't nailed down, noble are we. Broke into the wizards house to steal some more stuff and maybe further the plot? Promised not to tattle on love affairs, which Wolgraff gave thumbs up to, so nice. Then today we murdered everyone in Hunters Edge. Or well, we instigated a war between humans and orcs (being on semi friendly term with the humans) and used them as meat shields in making all the green into ruby red. Mwahahaha. Then looted all the new stuff that wasn't nailed down. Also did some other stuff. Did Bairdotr's personal quest with the foreknowledge that Aerie should be our mouthpiece. Summoned animals are so much nicer when they are on your side. Found out why Arhu left his chair, but he can still barter with us so it's no biggie. Put the fire out in the crib. Misunderstood the quest giver thinking that the path to Hunters edge was one path to a demon portal and the lava stone structure was the lava part. But no, the structure actually split into three bits and was a way shorter path then I was taking. So that was great. Went to an area which I was vastly underlevelled for and predictably got smoshed, crushed, sliced and gutted into oblivion. So looked up some stuff and realized I could actually continue on what I thought was a dead end. That feeling when you tackle an area when you are overlevelled. That feeling when you still suck so much that they would have killed you if the ceiling spiders hadn't though you to be the bees knees. But hey, getting swooped to safety by spider baes is always nice. Found the anvil of creation! And used it to boil a potato. Hehehe. It was only a kiss, how did it end up like this. Then back to lolly gagging. Ended up visiting a gravesite and giving the bones a pyre. Then went and tackled Wolgraff's quest and now our little note-sending is over. Alas. Aaaaaaand back to being stuck. Also played a little of Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Finally did Natakas quest and it was every bit as awful as I imagined. Well mostly because Kassandra insisted that she needed to climb the stairs and get stuck on walls and just generally refusing to be controlled. Also because Ikaros did not want to tell me who I should talk to. And trying to find that little interact blimp with Kassandra misbehaving was hair tearing at best. But I blame it all on Natakas >:C Still, got a laugh out of the group of men following me. Especially when they started mimicking Kassandra's crouching. (big pic might be big) Much sneaky. No suspicious. Also wrecked three ships. Just ignore the in betweens where we sailed away as fast as possible to heal up. Hehe. Then got a fellow to owe me a favor. Which is always good. And that was it. Need to find some supplies or something for some lady and Ikaros wont just tell me where they are so back in the freezer you go.

I'm wondering if I missed a dialogue, something and it's niggling. Dandelion said mages were needed to fix the phylactery so he decided to ask whoreson if he knew any. That doesn't make sense when there's a witch hunt in the city, especially the hunt for Triss. He never thought of looking for Triss? Nor thought of asking through his friends, etc, especially Dudu (to go undercover) for information where mages could have gone hiding? He couldn't have not known whoreson's reputation. From the conversation, he went for the most stupid and most dangerous choice straight away. Geralt never asked about why and how he made that decision and just merely accepted the answer. Dumb? Or just contrived writing?

Or just contrived writing? I don't remember the specifics of that quest but it does sound like the sort of really dumb thing Dandelion would do!!!!! It's part of the main quest in looking for Ciri. Geralt found Dandelion was missing because he robbed you-know-who to pay whoreseon for said mage services for the phylactery, lost treasure to Menge, was captured, rescued and told Geralt why Ciri wanted the box. I found the conversation pretty poor. It's just; oh, what happened? You were looking for this box. Ciri disappeared after a chase, I'm at a dead end. Time to go to Skelige. There's no; why didn't you look for Triss? Why did you go to whoreson? Why him? He just accepted what Dandelion said. And yes, just from W3 alone, I get the picture that Dandelion is a moron who walks, breathes and dives into trouble without thinking of consequences. I also get the picture that Geralt is pretty patient with said moronic bard with poor taste in clothes because he has a good heart and is a good friend. Just from what I've seen, I can very think the worse of Dandelion; he deliberately chose whoreson because he wanted to waddle in deep doo doo so he could compose poems of himself or others about the event.

Played a bit of Divinity Original Sin 2 today. I'm not loving a giant plot point of the game, myself. What if my character didn't want to ascend to god-hood? What if he wanted to settle down, and start a family? Does he have a choice to complete the quest, and give up the power? Plus all the enslaving of the sourcerers. Still though, its far more interesting then 1 was/is. I'm very glad I made this purchase, so far. I'm leaving off Alpha Protocol, as McAfee is giving a false positive. I sent in a bug report about the false positive to McAfee support. And I have seen 2 new updates since sending that in. So I might want to try again tomorrow afternoon.

Year 22. Approx 75 villagers. Things are going well. Until year 12-13 it was a struggle. Would still be, if I ever lost track of looking ahead, and prepare. Main food sources are Fish and Gathering in Woods. Still. Terrain is a bitch and it will take a long time before agriculture products is anything but an additional luxury.
Have Market. Have Trade Station. Have Hospital. Have Chicken Farm. Have Walnut Orchard. Have Apple Orchard. Have Chestnut Orchard. Have Pumpkin field. Have Pear seeds, will make Pear Orchard.
Stone is a continuous problem. Always lack. But I will not open a Quarry or Mine. Not this time.
Want Coal and Sheep, but no trader have offered those yet. Will also buy Stone.

Well, this all got a bit awkward. Emma here is sad, because she caught Summer, the love of her life flirting with someone else.. .. and old Liberty here is sad, because she caught Emma, the love of her life, flirting with Summer.. .. and Summer here, doesn't seem to give two shits about anything. Actually, the full on face slapping match all 3 had a few days ago was most amusing - they all took it in turn to slap each other then run off and cry. In the same beds.
