Fallout 4 Tracked down Kellogg and delivered revenge on him. After leaving the base, saw the BoS Goodyear blimp fly by. Returned to the BoS base at the police station and was greeted by Danse, he wants us to go meet Elder Maxson. Met the Elder, greeted the important people and was given the task to take out some abominations at Fort Strong. A look back. When I get out of here, I'm going to f**king end you! Now the present. Remember what I said about if I ever get out of that vault? Daddy always said, if you say you're going to do something, do it. Your word means everything.

The things I don't like are the realism/simulation elements and the menu systems which are very inefficient and slow the game down. Yes, RDR2 is the perfect example how too much realism is NO fun. It's cool the first few times to cook and brew potions but that got old really fast... Realism? Well the realism can talk to the hand my Cheat Engine table. I hate when games take the simulation all the way to eat up 70% of your time (Kingdom Come Deliverance, bleh).

How are you finding it, it's RDR yeah? I am thinking about playing it after DragonKingReborn suggested playing it? I am most worried about the game mechanics, in particular combat. Combat is both annoying (I died a lot) and easy because it has that feature to slow time and auto-hit certain body parts like Fallout's VATS. Without Dead Eye combat can be tricky. Trust me, I know, because I didn't use it for half of the game. I couldn't figure out how...
Bandit ambushes were the worst. I was often dead before I remembered which buttons to push to defend myself, lol. You die FAST in this game. Also, some animal attacks are very deadly very quickly. Cougars made me panic until the end hahaha. Story combat is not a big problem though, imo.
Other gameplay elements were far more annoying to me. It's a flawed diamond, this game. It's an amazing ride. Great storytelling, stunning world. But gosh, the button mapping, picking up items, all the accidents due to the loose controls and everything... I yelled a lot. But I loved the game regardless.
Thanks that pretty much summed up what I had seen of my Brother In-Law playing and on some reviews. I am so on the fence re trying it. So just decided to have a look to see how much it is in Australia and damned if I can find it anywhere for PC, still available for Xbox and PS though. I also tried to find it on STEAM but couldn't find it, oh well maybe its for the better as my blood pressure may not have been able to take it!!!!!!

Note: I haven't played it yet. I am getting it once it is out on Steam, though. But I've heard universally good things from people - on this forum - whose opinions usually align with mine. Loving it so far. It has more variety and is a lot more complex than the first game. It looks stunning, maybe the best looking game out there. Very demanding but the catch is even with most settings on medium it looks like other open world games on high/ultra. Not exaggerating. The story and characters are more engaging, and having base camp where you can go back to chat with your buddies and do favors for them was an excellent idea. Feels a bit like the Normandy. The writing is very Rockstar meaning on the nose and cheesy dialog sometimes. The things I don't like are the realism/simulation elements and the menu systems which are very inefficient and slow the game down. So yeah, highly recommend it. Exploring in this game is way more rewarding than any GTA. ...I should mention that it's also plagued with issues right now, mainly crashing. So I'd personally wait and let RS patch before buying. Mostly 'medium' settings. Cheers, was looking for RDR1 to play on PC but I cannot find it anywhere in Australia or on STEAM, didn't realise you were playing RDR2. Thanks for the info, am going away for a week soon so will hold off for now but may just skip 1 and go to 2 (unless there is a really good reason not to) at a later date.

Cultist Simulator Diamanda is something more. So got the standard Enlightened ending with Diamanda. Got impatient and murdered Clifford to push me over the edge of glory. Not really regretting it since I was at the point of being ready to eat the named followers. Then stumbled onto a tip that I could just buy henchmen lunch. So by the time the season of hunger rolled about, into the cupboard they went!
Also realized it wasn't Sylvia (even got the wrong persons name wrong) who died. But the other lady. Whatshername. So that shows how remorseful I was about that. Heh.
Started another Decent with Eugine at the helm this time, guided by Diamanda's glowing form and aided by Slee, because he's the best.
Not sure how much more I'll play, since this is the second night I dreamt about the game. And managing the cards with dream logic is exhausting. Especially when the dreams decide to amp things up. Ooof.
But did give it a bit of a go and I feel like my brain either acsended with Diamanda or just melted since I feel really overwhelmed. So taking a bit of a rest from it for now.
Did load up Monster Hunter and finished one quest and failed spectacularly on the other. Blaming the melted brain for that. But made the discovery that those two are fairly easily co-op able. Granted there is a bit of a slog getting to the co op bit for the second one, but like, we should be able to. So that's great.

So XCOM pt 2.0. Not feeling it as much as I was my first crack through. I almost get the feeling that they turn up the difficulty after your first PT for..reasons. Anyways the highlights: My base building seems to be going much slower this time in addition to everything else. I think I am still waiting for the proving grounds for crying out loud. Might be a little bit of a gamble on my part but so far haven't really been building anything or upgrading my stuff weapons and squad wise. Just waiting for the skulljack and also building stuff...which the building stuff is taking supplies of course. So far my missions are going...pretty good? Kind of an on again off again sort of thing. One mission goes really well, the next...does not. Already lost one person and got one person pretty badly beat up on one of the ones that didn't. And I am sure those people here who already play XCOM will drink my tears, etc...etc. But I think I was robbed. Had a soldier in pretty good cover on one end of the batlefield so I moved another up on the right and well...turns out there was something back there afterall...I just don't know how it was possible for the first guy to not see them. Of course the issue turned out being that then none of my soldiers could hit the broad side of the barn and...they could. Obviously. One person down...one person wounded. But then the next mission was fun. Supply raid, there was a train, went flawless, but I didn't find an alien group initially so I basically just did a ring around the posey with the train ending up completley looping back around and then to the beginning of the thing before I found the last. Final mission of the day...going pretty good I think didn't really have too many issues...then my system crashed. And i did manage to confirm that any new character you add to a pool during a PT can still show up...Mack showed up in the menu. The annoying bit is that, and why this game is loosing some interest for me, is those characters I created and gave specific classes...don't have those classes in the actual game. They did in my first attempt so its probably something *i'm* doing, or did, accidentally...but now I kind o want to start over...or just move on...maybe...lawl. The other long standing issue with this game I have always felt that, especially with the rest of the mechanics in the game, that a soldier that looses all their HP shouldn't 'die' instantly. It should start a countdown timer (similar to the loot) which would let you stabalize them, they'd still be knocked and wounded for a looonnnnnggg time...but not dead. I think that is pretty much it.

It should start a countdown timer (similar to the loot) which would let you stabalize them, they'd still be knocked and wounded for a looonnnnnggg time...but not dead. The mechanic exists. There is a chance that a soldier with 0 HP will start bleeding instead of being killed. I think some upgrades increase that chance.

A new Banished. Even though I knew how desperate the beginning is on 'hard' (the only way I play it), I had still forgotten how razor thin it is. My little group promptly died came the first winter. New attempt, more uncompromisingly focused on immediate survival, and I survived the first year. Now on fourth year without losses and decently established.

The tutorial mission of the Tribes of the East was mostly chill and fun, got to level 23. But in the first serious campaign I had 3 months to capture 2 towns, make a huge army to capture the 3rd town. That didn't go as planned. My weak army: Gonna replay it on easy difficulty... Victoria, Austria Empire and its early important events! Papacy should be less materialistic, and goodbye Switzerland!

Finished the main story quests in Skellige but still have a ton of side content to get through and many islands left to explore.
First on the list was The Last Wish. Enjoyed the boat trip a lot more since I've read the stories on the previous adventures they talk about.
Afterwards, Yen headed to Vizima to report to Emhyr, and Geralt went off to do witcher stuff.
Came across Blueboy Lugos before having the encounter with his dad so now I wonder how that meeting will differ.
Currently looking for Bear School schematics.
Managed to take out a few "red skull" enemies but after a while I got tired of having to be patient and tactical during fights so ran away from any more I came across.
I've still got Cerys' and Hjalmar's quests to do, masterwork tools to find, contracts to complete, and druids to harass after the crowning ceremony. Not to mention track down Lambert's target, meet up with the black pearl fellow, and all the races and fist fights to win.
I've been keeping track of who I've played for gwent cards in this area, and for some reason one of the people I played, the blacksmith in Fyresdal, didn't cough up a card but rather fur scraps instead. I was annoyed since he played a Milva card, which is one I don't have. Is this a normal occurrence??

Diamanda's cult is officially over since Eugine died of starvation. It was very tragic. So sad. *Cough* Then because I just can't stop, Felicia came into being. She was a Bright Young Thing who lived in the lap of luxury until papa passed away and now she's having ominous dreams. And started a cult of desire, Order of the Menstrual Cup. Okay the game calls it Order of the Bloody Cup, but we all know where that blood came from...And her tool for the induction ceremonies are red stained gloves, so you bet I'm having fun with that.
Taking it slow with her, since I want to see if I can explore the Spider door with her and maybe find something deeper in the Mansus. Then started Silence. And did not realize it was a continuation of the Whispered World so was a bit confused at the beginning. I do remember hating Sadwick's voice so guess the tradition continues in this game. Well not in the same manner, Sadwick had a really annoying voice, Noah's voice just sounds, bland. Changed to the German dub and it feels a lot more pleasant to listen to, but it might also be the placebo of a foreign language. Don't like how the save system works, as there is none and you get checkpoints. Except you don't see when you reach one (or at least I can't) so quitting always feels dicey. I'm guessing it's very logical and all, but don't like being in the dark about this. Otherwise nothing to complain about so far. The game looks amazing, really enjoying the art style. The puzzles have been for the most part reasonable, did get stuck a few times but nothing terribly frustrating. Not fond of the tugging the mouse bit, but so far it's worked alright. Found myself chuckling a couple of times, so I do like the humor for the most part and don't feel lost in the story so far. So generally had a good time with it so far. Think I'm at the final chapter and am a bit worried about how the ending is going to play out, so that's nice. Pic in the spoiler.

Got the horse racing achievement after winning the Freya contest, though I think there are more races in B&W? Had a fit of a time with the first one because even though it was day time the weather turned stormy (scripted?) and I couldn't see a thing. Add in the sharp turns and I had a few navigational difficulties that took several runs for me to solve.
Finished some more contracts and found more Bear and Griffin schematics.
One thing I liked about Skyrim (that often got me into trouble feeling overwhelmed) was the ability to put markers for multiple active quests on the map at once. I wish that was possible in this game. Instead I end up selecting one a time as active to see where it will take me and then do whatever's closest to my current position. I've done almost everything on the big island, I think, so it's probably time to head elsewhere and help out Crach's kids.

Yes, that blacksmith never gives a card. And the Milva card, and the others you need from Novagrad are locked to the Triss quest, at the Vegelbud Estate gwent games.

ACOD
I picked up from the previous PT; Atlantis DLC.I decided to talk to the troublemaker whose name I did not catch and got the quest; Lover and Fighter. Basically, it's just taking down forts, overseers and kolossi. However, I saw that I've two options regards the Isu soldiers. One is to kill, the other is to liberate.
I presume by liberating I have to sneak up on them and KO them. Am I right? I've been killing them all the while for the first pie of the region, I've only the overseer area left. Kass's assassin skills are not that powerful so it's doubtful I can KO them immediately. It'll be extra extra work.
So my question is to those who have completed the DLC. Is there any point to liberating the Isu soldiers?
I've not talked to Persophone yet.

I've gotten to Episode 4 of the Council. What started out as a decent Telltale like detective game has turned well and truly into a 'what the fuck is this bollocks' shitshow. They pulled a terrible plot twist, undid all the detectiving I'd been doing, and brought in the old 'space magic did it' trope.
So disappointed. Another example of devs getting lazy with the later episodes of an episodic game.

I played What Remains Of Edith Finch in one session. Took less than 3 hours. An interesing family story both horrifying and touching. The biggest surprise however was the creative gameplay elements where you relive the last moments of the family members. Many died as children under quite macabre circumstances. You basically make them commit accidental suicide... The interactive comic wa sone of the coolest most creative ideas I've come across.
That game was quite the experience! When the credits rolled I started crying and couldn't stop for half an hour. Which is very unusual for me. Granted, the game triggered a very personal issue. It released something I'd been supressing for years. I guess it was a good thing it all came out. So this game will be remembered as something special to me even if mostly painful. The story itself is beautifully told. I recommend this game! I also finished Tides Of Numenera in about 40h. And laughed how much the ending remidned me of ME3 and the catalyst! The central mystery around The Sorrow is basically the discarded dark energy plot mixed with the last 10min of ME3. Which is NOT a bad thing here! The red destroy ending is not the good option in this game however, hahaha.
The game is underrated imo. Solid 8 for me. Ignoring the clunky unfun combat I could even give a 8.5 or 9 for the writing. I really enjoyed it. I'm just slightly annoyed that I didn't know how to swap companions until it was too late to do some of the companion quests which are location dependent. But unlike in most RPGs you cannot go back to a previous location. So I only managed to get a good ending for 3 of the companions. Oddly, one companion quest lead to a horrible ending. The one of the gay mercenary Tybir. I helped him uncover the truth about his lost lover and he cracked... My character died a noble death and I was satisfied with the ending. Yesterday I started playing Mutant Year Zero via Steam FamilyShare. A game I overlooked because it's basically a stealth strategy game.
However, it's a game with a beautiful art style, great voice acting and some good party banter. Story is functional but presented in an appealing way. Maps are small and isometric. It's possible to return to base at any time to upgrade gear. The game is challenging for me even on the lowets difficulty. I'm not big on stragetic gameplay where your exact position matters. So I die a lot triyng to figure out how to best approach the enemies. Gameplay is designed around taking out as many enemies silently and undetected as possible. Some maps have high level enemies that require you to return to later. Even though this is not usually my type of game, I'm having lots of fun with it, mostly because of the gorgeous presentation.

Finished Jedi Knight Jedi Academy. Frustrating level design but excellent light saber fights (mostly) Didnt mod it. I see you haven't played Jedi Outcast then So, male or female Jaden? I like to use a female Zabrak as it somehow fits with Jennifer Hale's performance.

For now King's Raid became my main mobile game. Atm I have 6 characters at max level, with next two being 2 levels away from max. In the end I couldn't completely narrow down characters I want for main team, so I ended up with healer, tank and 3 dds who I rotate. I hit a wall at chapter 8-11, but to be honest, I don't mind it as much as I thought I would. Oh, and I'm not broke 90% of a time anymore! It's 99,9% now...
While waiting for Pokemon Sword and Shield to come out this Friday, I remembered that I still have some post-game stuff to do in Ultra Sun. Shows how fun I found this generation... As I didn't want to commit to full game, I decided I might as well finish post-game plot (or at least try to). I caught one of the last Ultra Beasts (I swear, one of the worst additions of this gen), retook Festive Plaza from Team Rocket and started Episode Team RR (Rainbow Rocket). They really should stay in Kanto if they don't want their ass kicked time and again. Although staying in Red's vicinity might be tad more dangerous.

Finished the main story of Silence and had a good time. The thing I was worrying about in the end happened, but reading the forums it might kinda maybe not be that bad. Still, she's got 7 years of bad luck now and her current state is not too envious. Then looked at the achivos. And they were...do-able. (Whining in spoilers) So restarted the game, then a bit in I realized I wouldn't get one of the achivos and started doubting the whole thing.
So ended up grabbing a bunch of save states and getting the little clicky achivos over with. Wasn't missing many but the ones I did miss were cute, so no foul. Also, it was a real kind move of the company to have a save state for each little "bit", since you can't save on your own and such.
Then went for the main achivo's, no hints and no skipping dialogs. Hint bit wasn't an issue since I'd finished the game already. But the non skipping dialog was a pain. Since while there are always two options available, they don't really change anything. Which is fine, flavor and all, but not much variance for me. And non skipping is super stressful when the skip button is also walk over there button. So oof. But wrapped up the run, checked out the other ending and then only got the hint achivo. After almost literally sitting on my hands so they wouldn't interrupt the dialog before it was done.
Frigger fragger.
So cheated in that achivo, since it's supposedly bugged on keyboard and mouse and I don't have a third whole run in me via controller. It is a good game though, don't get me wrong, just not three times in a row. And I know me and when I say I might pick it up later it most likely means never again, no matter how much I liked my first go.
Then spent some time trying to cheat the Skip all the mini games, since why would you do that. Also hadn't even noticed the skip button until I looked up the hidden achivement. Heh. But the games were fun so. Anyways. It didn't work and I ended up sorta doing it legit. As in did the skipping in the wrong order but the game counted it anyways and you know what they say about looking a gift achivo in the mouth. You can't because it's just a shiny little icon. It hasn't got a mouth. Unless it's an icon of a mouth. Which this one wasn't, so the point still stands. Whining aside, it was a lovely little game. Really beautiful art style. Puzzles were mostly gentle brain teasers, but fun none the less. Only had one time where I got kinda stuck, which was annoying, but can't remember any other instances. So would recommend, since I had fun with it for the most part.
