Any workarounds for NG+ quest problems caused by item carryover?

I just got the Tempest in NG+ and now can't talk to most characters connected to Movie Night without breaking the quest because the items are in my inventory. I can't seem to sell the items or delete them.

Maybe a save game editor to remover the items? But my Google fu hasn't helped much there either.

I was wondering why that quest had updated for me to go to Kadara already. I just finished the Critical Path on Eos. A bit of a slip up, but I'm not surprised. It doesn't bother me too much since I've already done the quest, but fixing that would be appreciated for those who want to keep using the same character.
