Quite a few have said they are going to wait and see how BioWare approaches weapon/power balance or connection/stability patches, or are continuing to build their manifest in hopes of the weapons/kits eventually getting better.
For me, I've stopped completely. After another dozen or so disconnects, I just can't find it in me to play MP. I've been messing around in the single player still, it's definitely worth going through at least once or twice imo. I would keep grinding out my manifest to get better weapon/kit ranks but I'm going to wait and see what BioWare does. It's fun and I see the potential there, but it's not quite hitting the mark that ME3 MP did so well.
As the title says, if you are currently still playing MEA:MP, what's keeping your interest?

Honestly I'm messing around in the SP myself as well and then I'm jumping in and out of MP on rare occasions to keep a friend or two happy and ofc also because being with friends makes it much more enjoyable But I don't usually play MP more than a match or two at a time, cause I can't get into it the same way I did with ME3 MP, so right now I'm simply passing the time like this until they make it better, until the next patch, IF that even makes it better...

Crashes and disconnects are infrequent for me (although I did just crash 10 seconds from Extraction...) and I have friends to play with which makes pretty much any MP fun for me.
Also I missed out on ME3MP when it was supported and had events etc and I don't want to make the same mistake again.

Many people I know haven't even started set since they cannot play without disconnects / crashes. Lucky are those who never had these issues, like me. MEA is still fun. I hope everyone can play it one day and we get lots of content like ME3 did.

Yeah I had been playing with a friend as well and it did make it more enjoyable, but my morale kind of dies a little bit more each time I crash to desktop with nothing to show for it. In ME3 MP it got to the point where I did one mission in the SP at the time, and then spent the rest of the evening playing MP. My friends who were playing WoW with me at the time would ask if I wanted to run a dungeon or LFR or something but I'd always pass because I just couldn't stop enjoying that feeling of running tech/biotic comps or just playing in general with my MP friends and the plethora of explosions/fun that happened because of it. We ended up doing Avenger X only U/U/G runs a few times(or swap it out with a similar weapon that wasn't good lol) and would see if we could do it. I remember saving up millions of credits in anticipation of the release dates of the DLCs and dumping all my credits day 1 of said DLC and just finding all new kits/builds to play with, or the weekend community challenges with themes or goals to go for, looking forward to(or dreading) the weekly balance changes and all that good stuff. I remember going "Please don't nerf the Reegar, pleeeeease don't." *slight nerf* "Oh well it's still awesome, carry on." Or finding an odd joy in freezing phantoms with a shield slap from the cryo-shield spec'd N7 Paladin, then detonating that combo mid-air to see a shattered phantom...*SO* satisfying. So far in MEA:MP, I've felt nothing but envy for those that have a Vanquisher X tbh. Melee spam can keep me entertained for only so long. ._.

The challenge of trying to murder a Raider with 10 shotgun magazines, since I loath meleeing and sniping. You can have my Vanquisher whatever number it is, I don't even keep a track of it.

I make it a point to squeeze every ounce of any purchased game to stretch my cash (unless it is absolutely unplayable) Even if it is terribad, at least one full playthrough. What keeps me going for MEA? Manifest completion and consecutive SP playthroughs. Is is fun? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I play in short bursts of 1-2 MP games then mooch around then resume. Is it boring? Not really despite playing a farming kit the Asari Adept which can pretty much go without any consumables. Personally I find having a goal in mind helps. I make it a point to earn at least 500k per day. To give perspective for a gestalt picture, most of you paid USD 90 for the game give or take. Being from South East Asia our currency is much weaker. Wanna guess how much it costed us here? more than 200 dollars, that why I do not own many alternatives and any purchase made I milk it to the max

The challenge of trying to murder a Raider with 10 shotgun magazines, since I loath meleeing and sniping. You can have my Vanquisher whatever number it is, I don't even keep a track of it. I think I have a Vanquisher I but I don't snipe a whole lot in the ME games, always had more fun with full auto weapons, shotguns and melee. I used the Vanq a few times and it feels nice to be able to pop off headshots and do pretty good damage but I'd prefer to be able to kill something with a point-blank shotgun or less than 15-20 bullets for full auto weapons. You've pretty much described how I feel about it I haven't gotten any decent weapons either, it just makes it even less enjoyable, cause like you said melee isn't gonna keep the fun forever. That's the weird part! I loved melee kits to no end in ME3's MP. I always had kits like my krogan sentinel spec'd to ignore incinerate and just go weapons platform with full melee focus, or krogan warlord with that amazing biotic hammer just blasting things into orbit, or even the novaguard, zipping everywhere, detonating every primer under the sun. Or the good ol' tried and true kroguard. Same for the batarian vanguard to hatesurf which still is stupidly fun, especially if you angle it on an outdoors map and just punt the beheaded mook off the map with ease, or messing around with the Turian Havoc and comboing havoc strike + heavy melee point blank to double up on the damage + reegar to everything in sight, so much fun. Gonna link this: That right there makes me want to fire up ME3 MP right now and just go nuts, lol.

It's hanging by a thread. As soon as I'm ready to dedicate enormous amounts of time to Fallout 4, it's over.

SP combat is fun enough that I'm keeping an eye on MP in the hope that it gets some positive attention and fixes.
That and blind hope that UR characters will one day be available in the item store...
But yeah melee sucks as a core playstyle in MEA - it's so bland and one dimensional. I miss the light chains and heavy melee where you could do stylish things rather than spam the melee button to do the same punch over and over.
In fact in SP I'm using the remnant cryo gauntlet more for its utility than damage - it's a lot of fun.

This same as ME3MP. Also disconnects at the beginning. Everytime it was hard to find a lobby. So what. the MP itself is fun. Some days its more problematic sometimes it work like a good machine So when will fix the problems as before in ME3MP. Will take 1-4 weeks. I don't care about the start problems. You have the same problems in every game I know so far. (Division, Ark, ME3MP, H1Z1, ... never ending list )

Sadly, Am No longer interested, this is only after 50 hours of MP gaming; playing effectively with pugs and friends on gold. "RIP MEAMP", I can only hope that the next installment of the mass effect multi-player will match or beat the lvl of fun I experienced playing me3.but no more pre-orders...that's for sure im currently playing the SP, and so far, it's fun. I also played few games on me3 this past week..started a new manifest (3rd). I hope they keep the servers up or, if they bring em down, at least allow it to run on one's machine for solo.

I still haven't leveled up all the characters I want to. Want to get more viable options on gold. Also, since mostly playing on silver, my manifest is lacking since I haven't bought many premium packs.

A combination of intense grinding and spending sufficient money. I still have not maxed my bonus stats. My best one is recharge, which I believe is over 5% now. You are fortunate to be Danish.
