i have a pretty simple strategy
1. pick a good weapon(vanquisher is the go to solo gold weapon)
2. when enemy is close, spam grenades(or any power)
3. know the escape routes
4. have enemy awareness
5. resource management
watch that video and you will see some tendencies/patterns in regards to the gold standard of a legit gold solo run.(no cheats/ammo glitch/PC aim assist mouse/etc)
