This here. Prior to 1.05, you could at least Melee as a last resort. Now even THAT gets interrupted. Patch 1.06 - When being staggered there is a chance you lose reserve amunition - When being staggered there is a chance your shield instantly drops - Vanquisher felt too powerful. It has been removed from everbodies Manifest and will be readded as ultra rare at a later date. - When beeing staggered there is a chance yuo lose credits. - Attempt to fix crashing issue. Patch 1.07 - When being staggered there is a chance you will be staggered

Dragoons, Hunters and Geth Primes are much worse. Marauders also just lump you with their legendary people elbow and gun you down the next second. Yeah, Primes could snipe you through the tiniest hole from the other side of the map the same millisecond you entered their line of sight. I guess it made sense, with them being especially powerful computer platforms and all, but it sure as hell didn't make for particularly fun gameplay.

Nullifiers are goobers anyway. Just strafe left and right while hipfiring at them and they can't hit you back. If you've got two Nullifiers at different angles, just strafe diagonally between them and neither one can hit you.

Reload animations seem much longer and more fragile in this game compared to me3. Dragoons were just bad design from the start and I suppose geth got the extra stagger bs in lieu on sync kills. I figure this game would be an improvement, fixing the obvious oversights made in their first mp effort and moving beyond the "limitations" of the old game engine. Instead, long interruptable reloads, worse lag consequences, more grinding, less dev interaction. Meh. But, jetpacks. Biower, pls.

Yeah, playing my Turian Soldier I rely on cover to survive. Having two or three Berserkers or Nullifiers on gold spamming me with cover breaking mechanics without any chance to recover is extremely annoying.
Though it's funny when I tick Krogan off. They rush in and start head butting me but my shields recharge before they can hit me again and I just blindfire them down. Lol.

I've never had the issue most people seem to have with geth sutn lock. It sucks but double dragoons, geth bombers and plain abominations are worse imo. Stun lock on one opponent when normally you know where they are coming from and where they are going vs this game.

I'm still so very baffled, and pissed, they panicked and fucked melee (and everyone else by proxy) with auto stagger, because something actually did damage with juggs shields, compared to pre vanquisher-is-standard guns AND STILL DID NOT FIX THE FUCKING BUGS, WEAPONS, COMBOS AND POWERS! Their competence is questionable at best. The fix is even very simple; 1. Undo autostagger, fix non working mods and worst bugs. 2. Buff all ARs and shotguns. Like 100%+ in some cases. 3. Increase fire rate and/or damage on (some) pistols. 4. Increase power and combo damage. Scale combo with difficulty. 5. Spawn more red mobs mostly, and possibly a new alternative type to offset higher damage from players. 6. Now, when this is done start fixing outright broken weapons/kits and maybe be more creative with new kits/weapons instead of copy pasta mixing.... 7. Remove tech construct damage og have it run over tech power - and please, make pets do actual damage and have health scale to difficulty. 8. ??? 9. Profit You're expecting too much from a AAA game Yeah go back to FEZ you hipster!

Other recent game 20 seconds left moving to ezone way is blocked by two krogans and a mess of others. Pull out the missile launcher, stagger! Try and bring it up again, stagger! Stagger! stagger! You SHOULDN´T be able to reload easily, when a bloodthirsty enemy is polishing your row of chewing implements. This is what melee is for. Also jumpjets allow you to escape melee easily. The only thing that needs it´s stagger removed for good or at least reduced is the Krogan Berserker Flak Cannon. However, I agree that the action cancel feels bad in some situations, like when it cancels your own melee. At least Krogan Kits should be immune to that.

At least Krogan Kits should be immune to that. if you try to jump jet and something staggers you it cancels the jump /melee animation and you can find yourself getting ragedolled to boot.... the everything staggers you nonsense upped the difficulty quite a lot, getting shot by the guns shouldn't prevent you fro mreloading until after your shields are broken the fact it does is poor game mechanics, they need ot reduce reload times by half on all guns.... biowares answer to the reload cancelling mechanic was to make the reload time take as long as the animation on screen, but they forgot to make it so you couldn't be staggarded out of it by everything and anything... nullifiers shooting through hard cover is a shitty mechanic as well, I don't need 4 of them stagger bouncing me through hard cover and reducing my shields to zero in the middle of trying to avoid a trio of observers on the upload's .... that's also cheap and dirty gaming that just pisses people off far more so than the lolcannon of doom the scions used or the dodgy prime stagger shot....

If it were a team death match situation their would be no need for it but against a horde that out numbers your team 10:1 you need some way to prevent your self from getting overunned. Your reasoning would make sense if our kits were better for characters, our weapons actually did damage, and everybody had good internet.

I agree with what you said, but I am pointing out that cover does it´s job admirable with a few rare exceptions. And those exceptions are needed, because MEA already reminds me more of World War I trench warfare than ME3. There is also more to prevent being overrunned than just cover: - Collapsing formations / tactical retreat - Barrier powers and area denial powers - Stagger and impact from weapons So, I feel cover plays it´s role and if it was better/stronger it would be even more prelevalent in actual gameplay, which I already feel is strongly emphasized.
