Does anyone know if you can still romance Jaal even if you destroy the Kett base? I've tried searching to no avail. Thank you for any help.

You can, but it'll take longer. He'll be upset for sometime. If you shoot Akksul and destroy the base, forget it. But if you keep the base and shoot Akksul, you can still romance him. As long as you don't do both (destroy base and shoot Akksul), you'll be fine.
