Why do I get the feeling a krogan fight scene would have looked better in the old unreal engine that the trilogy used?

In terms of hand to hand? I dunno. Aside from the krogan slap fight, the only other sequence of actual hand to hand combat that I can recall is the bar fight scene, and I thought that was actually pretty good. I like how Ryder moves against the angaran with the knife. 


And there's at least one Krogan who remembers he has a forehead.

It was really, really bad, especially compared to the bar fight. Which was really good - best fight I've seen in a Bioware game, probably.

Yeah, the barfight was so good it really highlighted the lack of other fights in cutscenes in the game, being pretty much the only time Ryder got to be a badass. Excuse to post more barfight gifs:

Second one on the right was actually improved in the patch, it's noticeably better than the trailer.

Agreed. Do you think it's because of mocap? It's definitely happening in the barfight, but you can't really mocap krogan, so... In addition, it made me realize that krogan fistfights probably wouldn't accomplish much. There should have been more headbutting, or use of the environment, or melee weapons.

That barfight scene was epic.

And I'm dispappointed about Morda vs Strux fight. No Krogan Hammers involved

Dat krogan is the patched version, in 1.04 Drack used his shoulder instead of head.
