It's like living on top of a friggin bowl of Jello! I had to cover my sloshing coffee cup again. I went to stand in a doorway just in case it got worse. These are still aftershocks from the 11/30/18 7.0 quake.

I was just told that I have a job interview tomorrow. Hopefully I will have a sightly better job! Yet, I am so nervous and anxious about it, as I am quite socially awkward and anxious. You can do it!

Today saw the first time after several years of sparring that I finally got injured. Not bad, but rather surprising that after all this time of our group attacking each other with padded swords that I hadn't taken a really good shot to the face until today. Basically, we take wooden or polypropylene training swords, pad them with foam, and then medieval duel/spar with each other, sometimes one-on-one, sometimes in teams, sometimes a big group free-for-all. We all wear gloves to protect the knuckles and helmets to protect the face. Well, I have a full-faced motorcycle helmet I use, but I do remove the plastic visor. Since the swords are padded in layers of foam, we didn't have any that were small/skinny enough to come through that part of the helmet. We thought. Apparently, one of the newer guys' swords was a bit skinny enough and a blow aimed for my shoulder ended up coming in my helmet's eyehole. Thank God, my eyes are okay, but the top of my nose right between my eyes took a goodly shot. I don't think I'll end up with a black eye and my nose isn't broken, but it's definitely bruised, sore, swollen, and got a fairly impressive gash. And, of course, being a facial wound in a thin area, it looked a lot worse at first than it is because it just gushed blood like a dying animal. I don't think that new fellow will be aiming anywhere remotely close to upper body again for a while; he was horrified. Bandaged up now and self-medicating, somewhat entertained thinking about how work will go tomorrow explaining what's wrong with my face. Most of them know I spar, though, so shouldn't be too awkward. Just glad I'm not a salesperson facing clients everyday anymore. LOL Husband was... less than impressed by the whole situation when I came home, but at least he's starting to see the humor in it like I do. It's not bad, really. Not broken, don't need stitches. It just ain't pretty. But if he's gonna call me Warrior Princess all the time, he's gotta understand that sparring is just that - I may, occasionally, take a sword to the face.

Peachy. Super peachy. I did multiple hours over time last week. This week, I'm trying to fit 40 hours of work into two days because I'll be on planned sick leave the remainder of the week. 2019 is going great so far.

Took a day off because I feel miserable. Stomach is aching, feel sick, super tired and apathetic, I don't even want to move to the kitchen to cook me some food. I will not eat anything at all today.

Sorry to hear that, Giant Ambush Beetle. Hopefully it's just a bit of indigestion? I've had food issues for the last... uh, few months at least. I don't feel bad, per se, but I have NO appetite whatsoever. I eat, because I know I have to, but my desire for food is just gone. Idk what's wrong. Today I had a cup of coffee in the morning, then some millet flakes with yogurt, an apple and a small piece of cheddar cheese. I think I'll try boiling some veggies or something and shove them down my throat just to get some nutrients. It's starting to worry me, I didn't think I was losing weight but I put a pair of pants on today and they're definitely looser than they used to be. I don't need more fuel for my anxiety dammit...

It's starting to worry me, I didn't think I was losing weight but I put a pair of pants on today and they're definitely looser than they used to be. I don't need more fuel for my anxiety dammit... I had life-threating gut inflammation last year that has in some way gotten chronic so my problem is definitely linked to that somehow. I wish it was just an upset stomach but in my case there are more sinister forces at work. As in your case, maybe a trip to the doctor may be in order. Its nothing unusual to feel ''full'' for a couple of days but if it persist to the point you lose weight something is wrong. For example a mild inflammation of your stomach could be the cause, it is hardly noticeable and oftentimes the only symptom is lack of appetite, which can be seen with a blood test. (Heightened inflammation receptors). There is tons of other possible causes of course, a blood test can be really telling. If there is no real sign of a physical disorder I recommend getting more physically active. I know when I do not have any appetite and go lifting weights for two hours or go for a hike I am super hungry afterwards. When I sit in the office all day long and then drag my ass to the couch and watch TV my appetite is also almost nonexistent.

My kitty just recovered from her spaying and we had to keep her and her brother apart because he was hissing at her. The vet suggested a diffuser and now they are once again inseparable, but it was a rocky road for a week.

Tonight I had the best dream in my life. Usually I dream about apocalypses and other horror but this couldn't have been more different. That dream made me feel better than I have ever felt in real life, it was very unique, I wish I had not woken up. Now the memory of it is slowly washed away by the currents of reality and everything that remains is dreary hollowness.

My day has just been ruined by the discovery that my account information has been hacked on several sites. Thankfully, I recently switched to using a different passwort on each site and doubled the length and complexity of my passwords so I hope the damage will be limited, it appears only old accounts were affected and my mail accounts are safe so nobody can change my password on any of the affected sites, but it's still hugely annoying, especially since I don't actually know which sites are affected. Heck, I don't even recall every site where I am registered.

Today I tried shock therapy shower. Thats hot and cold showers that increase the regeneration of the body, especially reducing exercise induced muscle soreness and helping muscles to recover. Showered really hot for 10 minutes - till it was uncomfortably hot-, then I turned warm water off immediately. Since I get the water from a nearby underground spring it was just a tad above freezing - holy smokes, I nearly crapped out, I could not even breathe for a minute or so. But I also did the cold water for 10 minutes. I should have done one more hot-cold stint but I've had enough. I have to say, as horrible as this experience was, it really does work well. I had sore muscles from heavy squats and shoulder presses I did 2 days ago, it is mostly gone now. Which means I can do my next squat and press session much sooner than planned. I'll force myself to do it 3-4 times per week. Maybe I can get used to it making it a little easier.

Cooked me my first chili in over 1 year, couldn't eat any due to my serious gut inflammation. I simply felt like '' Fuck it!'', took some red Habaneros, tomato sauce, some spices, minced meat, green paprika and mixed it with noodles. Man, I sooo missed the taste of chili. I hope I wont die now.

Started with being awakened by a call to set up a job interview on Monday (fingers crossed). That's fine but I didn't get enough sleep and ended up having a mini-seizure that tipped over the bowl of cereal I had been eating. Huge mess on the floor but thankful that the floor is hardwood. I suppose that makes it a neutral day so far. I had wanted to go to the gym before heading into NYC but I may need to rest a bit and then won't have the time I need to prepare to go there. Still, I think it will be fine overall.

My day was saved from being a bust by my city's power network management. A power distributor went up in flames and we had a blackout in my district, but it wasn't 90 minutes before it was repaired. Thanks to the technicians who did it! Things like this are what distinguishes us from less developed countries, and I wish more people appreciated that instead of taking it for granted.
