I enjoy the process of trying to get things to the limit and beyond, I would have as much fun trying to become an elite cyclist (I tried to be many many years ago) or sprinter or racecar designer, its just that my talents are with lifting. Most people dislike that process and experience it as mental and physical torture, I absolutely love how it feels. If it weren't for that idiotic drugs and performance enhancers in professional sports I'd have perused a career in weight lifting. It's not that I don't understand that. You won't get anywhere significant in any kind of physical activity if you don't test your limits, and to improve in that regard is very satisfying. I've done my share of that. It's just that at some point, you need to put so much time into it to get any further that it takes too much away from other things I enjoy, like reading books or playing games. Too much, anyway, if you also have a full-time job.
And in any case, I care much more about pushing the limits of my understanding, which is probably the reason why I know so much about sciences I never studied. It was always surprising how much you can learn just by paying attention to information that comes your way randomly and building on that, even back in the 1970s when I grew up, but in this time of omnipresent information this effect has become much more pronounced. I often wonder how so many people manage to stay so ignorant with all that "information at their fingertips". I sometimes think it must take real effort to ignore all that information and curb any kind of natural curiosity, but then, I guess I never understood how one could not be utterly fascinated by trying to understand the natural world.

So I just found out that someone got a hold of my best buy credit card number and made online charges over 900.00$ and with my luck lately, I wouldn't be surprised if I died tragically in a car crash tomorrow or something.

And the timing is really......weird. I'm skeptical about it being an accident, especially since its France.

What? What's going on with the cathedral? Somehow caught on fire. Holy crap! That's like the battle scene from Hunchback of Notre Dame. And the timing is really......weird. I'm skeptical about it being an accident, especially since its France. You think it might be another incident of peace by the refugees?

I'm skeptical about it being an accident, especially since its France. You think it might be another incident of peace by the refugees? The suspects are... A) Macron (needs a distraction from his impotence) B ) Merkel (finishing what Hitler couldn't) C) CIA/Mossad/GRU (falseflag) D) Refugee (a victim of imperialism a lost soul crying out for help) E) Alt-Right (OK) G) ANTIFA (finishing what Lenin couldn't) H) Ayylmfao (Mulder was getting too close to the truth) I) Clergy (bathing the crime scene in holy fire) J) Nun (old as shit, should have been sent to a nursing home 3 decades ago) Even Columbo would have trouble finding a suspect.

I have finally succumbed to the infectious diseases ward (aka my house). Someone should nuke it from orbit. Just to be safe. But I guess I won the award for last one standing? The dog doesn't count right?

And the timing is really......weird. I'm skeptical about it being an accident, especially since its France. Doesn't really like look like arson atm. Apparently the 700-year-old roof beams where the fire started were dry as cinder, and there were ongoing repair works. The weird thing is, they immediately knew that it wasn't arson while the building was still burning down. To make sure what the real reason for a fire was there are professionals called fire investigators, oftentimes this painstaking investigation runs for months before they come to a final conclusion. Its like a plane crashed and while the parts are crashed and still burning they immediately rule out a terror attack and say it was an accident. Its just rings my alarm bells. Also the fact that there were fires in 15 historically significant French churches last year. I would not rule out religiously motivated crime that is coeverd up by the government to avoid protests and violence, something France is really known for lately. Imagine it was arson by Muslim extremists (maybe even workers) and they said it in the news, imagine what would happen. Burning down the national treasure of France like that. Oh boy. One of the last things Macron needs right now. So in a nutshell, in my opinion, at this time the statement that it was an accident is worth shit.

I tripped over my cross-trainer-thingy yesterday so today I am sporting some seriously spectacular bruises. Also, I realised that there is no friggin way I'll be able to reach my writing-goal for the NaNoWriMo's April Camp. But that's okay, because I've discovered modding and started a brand new playthrough of DA:O. Which, I suppose could be the reason that I'm not writing...

I helped some random people rescue 9 wild baby ducks that were trapped in their large pool that had only very little water in it. Since I was the largest guy with the longest arms around I took the net scoop and scooped them out of the pool, had to be very careful not to hurt those little chicks, they were hardly bigger than an egg-. I hope the owners took proper care of them after I rescued them, they were cold and exhausted and their stupid duck mom simply left them - almost wanted to take those baby ducks home with me, but I have cats.

Went to the city to do some shopping, came across a very nice little tobacco shop. They had some excellent stuff so I got a Churchill sized Macanudo and a Long Antano from Nicaragua.

It's Friday, so it could be worse. Still, my morning wasn't the best. It was raining a lot, so I put on (what I thought were) rainproof ankle boots. Turns out that one of the boots is indeed waterproof, while the other one is anything but. Currently, my one soaking wet sock is hung to dry, accompanied by the dry one because one sock is such a lonely sight. I am now wearing sandals (which I happened to have at work, IDK how or why or since when) and my feet are now blocks of ice.
