Mo Wilkerson was a fat lazy underachieving dick who as soon as he got paid packed it in. Good riddance. As for Josh Allen at QB. Just a massive buyer beware on him. Poor accuracy vs poor competition. I will be elated if some team in the top 5 picks him before the jets pick at 6. Okay, now Allen to the Jets at 6 is practically a lock!! Accuracy issues are definitely scary in a QB prospect but some scouts argue that the suspect Wyoming cast around him made him look worse than he really played. He did have a pretty good game in the Senior Bowl. Cam Newton has never been terribly accurate but has a big arm and has been productive for Carolina. I'm not blown away by any of the 1st-round QBs in this draft but I think they can all be players in the right fit. I got started with my NFL Draft research early this season once it was clear the Packers weren't going anywhere! Darnold is my #1 guy followed by rosen. I'd be elated if the jets can land wither one but i doubt they will. Allen sounds like the 2nd coming if Christian hackenburg. A lot of fans love baker mayfield but i am not near the fan than many are.

Sounds like a typical pats fan to me, all gun ho when they have an elite coach and qb and then good bye once the hard times come.

Yeah, it's been over 30 years of "almost", second-best and heartbreak for me as an Eagles fan, but I never wavered. Now, when Carson's injury felt like "here we go again", they've finally won that first SB. I'll never root for another team. As with most teams or athletes in any sport who enjoy sustained success, the Patriots seem to have supporters everywhere. We'll see who the true fans are when the rapidly approaching lean years arrive. It's easy to pull for the front-runner. The casual fans will fade very quickly.

Don't you dare abandon your team colfoley... ....I'am a Dallas/Giants fan for life......even through the horrendous Danny White years and currently....yeah they stink up tha joint royally and i know i will probably never see a Super Bowl Championship as long as Jerry is pulling the strings, but i'am a very QUIET Dallas/Giant fan when they are playing lousy.. I don't like the patriots or Brady for running off the field quite a few times after losing and not shaking the other QB's hand, (cause really you have like 5 rings and been there 8 times...show some class crybaby) but with you guys having Belichick (spel)...i think you guys will always be in it....the pats have a great coaching staff that see them in the hunt every year for the past decade....and i don't see that trend dropping off even if Brady leaves.... Gotta admit, I checked out of a couple games early this season after Rodgers went down. I always knew I was spoiled by good teams for as long as I've been following the Packers, but only last season did I truly get a taste of it. Hundley was bad, and not the entertaining kind (lol). We've had some down years since I became a Packer fan, but both Favre and Rodgers kept you watching, even when they were playing poorly. That said, I will probably always at least try to catch the game. Shoot, we almost upset the Steelers with Hundley in there. Ya truly never know... Rodgers practically is the Packers. I'm not sure most Packers fans realize how underwhelming their team's roster is. Rodgers carries them. He's incredible to watch. They really need to get some true talent around him for these next handful of years. I think they finally put feelings aside and made front office changes because everyone could see this reality.

I've always been a fan of my Panthers through thick and thin. I saw them play in Clemson before playing in their current stadium. Even when they had losing seasons, I still wore their hat. I would be approached by people in stores asking if I think the Panthers will have a good season. I keep telling them yes. Now with Jerry selling the team, I do wonder what the future will be like under a new owner. I will continue to wear the hat I've been wearing for years. Like always, I will predict them to win the Superbowl next year. GO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!

I can only speak for myself but not sure I'll stick around after the Brady era if they suck. I mean hell as much of a Red Sox fan I am I didn't care for them during the Bobby V years. Team loyalty is good but I don't really have the time to follow teams that aren't doing well. On the face of it though Brady says he will play till he sucks but I hope he gets out before then... that'll be difficult to watch. They look miles better than they are because of Rodgers. They are generally marginal talents, in terms of NFL starters. They get no separation from defenders. Rodgers' incredible ability to "throw receivers open" frequently compensates for their inadequacies. If he had real weapons, he'd be nearly unstoppable. None of this even addresses their issues at RB, on defense, and their horrible luck with OL injuries. I feel like they've been too conservative and partly wasted the career of the most talented QB in decades. Even as a fan of a conference rival, it's been frustrating to watch. They seem to be trying to make some changes, now.

It's true that Rodgers pretty much *is* the team by design ($$$), and when he goes down we are pretty average. I think our incompetent QB play made us look a lot worse than we were, though. All the pieces are there on offense for just an okay passer to be productive: good OL, solid WRs with one stud (Adams is the real deal), effective run game (although, sadly, Mac is like Andy Reid when it comes to committing to it). A lot of our losses were games within reach but we failed to seal the deal late. Give us a McCown, Fitzpatrick, Hoyer, Matt Moore, or ... oh, I dunno, KAEPERNICK!!! behind Rodgers and I think we'd have held it together long enough for Rodgers's comeback.

They seem to be trying to make some changes, now. I didn't see this when I made my last post. WRs: fair assessment of one starter (Jordy), but the other is legit. Adams is not a burner, but separates with explosion, size, strength (beating the jam), and quickness. He proved it by playing at a high level even after Aaron went down. Cobb can also be dangerous when not keyed in on. We could use some depth and a move-TE, though. RBs: actually this was a strong-point for us last season, but again, Mac is like Andy Reid in run/pass balance so you wouldn't know it. Both rookie RBs passed the eye-test when called upon, though. TyMont should probably move back to WR, but Williams has a solid all-around game, and Jones is dynamite with the ball. OL: injured early but they played well from midseason on. Still solid, not a valid excuse for the QB/coach. D: no argument. We need help there. No real gaping holes anywhere, but no real stars or difference-makers to speak of, either.

HYR, agreed on Adams. I almost called him out by name. He’s the reason I said “generally”. He’s good, but I don’t care for their other receiving options. I’ll defer to your greater familiarity with the RB corps. I knew it was super thin before last year. I’m wondering what the fallout might be from Jones’ DUI (weed)? It’s looking like it will result in a suspension of some sort. I’ve always felt like they do the right thing in building their O-Line, but battle injuries every year. I’m not faulting them for it. It sucks to see it. That Defense could be bolstered by a couple of good FA acquisitions at weak spots. I’m not educated of their cap situation, but I know most teams will have at least a bit of room to maneuver. I think they can give Rodgers better weapons than he has. Not overnight, of course; but they need some upgrades. I feel like they overestimated their receivers for a few years and stood pat with iffy guys. They’ve tried, securing Adams and always looking for a TE that will stick. You’re no doubt more familiar with their day to day, past drafts, etc... I just get an overconfident vibe from most Packers fans that might come from having Rodgers. (Not thinking of you.) Though they always believe their team to be contenders, I haven’t seen the team in that way for a few years. They should definitely be in the playoff mix, yet again; but I’m not sure they can beat the best teams. With just a bit more talent, I think Rodgers could win more SBs before retiring. I’m curious to see if Philly can maintain a spot amongst the NFC contenders. There are just so many good teams, and several Eagles players will leave to get paid. Others will be cut. I’m just trying to enjoy the SB a bit before angsting about next season.

So somethng Ihave been wanting to get off my chest now for a little while on the whole 'Brady is unsportsmanlike', which I suppose is fair, but...
A. For me it is hard to call him out for being a sore looser...when I am much worse then he is. Even with video games I tend to be bad.
B. As a Patriots fan its hard for me to want him to get 'good' at loosing. Sure, I understand the need for basic sportsmanship and how important that can be in genral but, its just part of his pscyhology. The drive to win is probably a good reason why he can continue to perform at such a high level because, I have heard, he still keeps a chip on his shoulder and no matter how much he wins sometimes he still thinks he stinks, personally. If he looses that and ever just settles I think its the day his days in the NFL might be numbered. (which is one of the reasons I think next year might be interesting, he will have what? 7 months to internalize last years Super Bowl loss and hopefully a healthy recieving core?)
C. Also as a Patriots fan, and a Red Sox fan, (and I know Eezo can relate) its been an interesting era in Boston sports...and I do not think I want it to end any time soon. But I know it can. So let the good times role.

Haha. The “I’m a sor er loser” argument isn’t strong. As we discussed, though, he doesn’t bother me. I’d prefer he be better about it, but it doesn’t turn me off to him. He does a lot of things I like, and no one is perfect. Hell, maybe the guy gets too mad or emotional in those first few moments. Maybe we’re reading into things too much. He seems very gracious and cool about it after hitting the showers and heading for the exit.

So, the same three teams (plus the Jets) that we’ve all been thinking for most of the year? Minnesota might immediately win a SB with Cousins, but it would likely narrow their window. They’ve drafted so well in recent years that I imagine they have key contributors on their first contracts. Those will come due, and it will be even harder to choose whom to pay if you have Cousins making $30M per year. They’ve never won a SB, so it might be worth it. They might win one anyway without him, meaning it wouldn’t be. Interesting decision to make.

At the moment, I would say Cousins will end up with Arizona since Palmer retired. The other teams currently have QB's. Don't know why Minnesota would be on that list.

At the moment, I would say Cousins will end up with Arizona since Palmer retired. The other teams currently have QB's. Don't know why Minnesota would be on that list. What QBs are you seeing? Denvers QB play has been awful with Paxton and Trevor leading it. The jets QB situation is just as bad. The Vikings qb situation really isn't appealing to me. Bradford is injury prone and that's been an issue holding him back since entering the league. I think teddy bridgewater is a question because they don't know how he'll play after being ouylt for 2 years (and before then his numbers weren't impressive). Keenum is speculated to just be a one year wonder, and as great as he did play this year, he showed various instances where the clvikings could've lost had that defense not covered for them. i think cousins is an instant upgrade over any of them. He's never been an injury prone guy and he's got 3 full seasons for teams to get data on him. Wouldn't you say a 4k yard 25+ TD and less than 15 INT QB is an improvement over what the Vikings have had the last few years? I think paired with a decent defense unlike in Washington, it may even benefit him with less pressure on the offense. im still hoping he goes to Denver as that's his best chance to win rings. What I'd like to see is elway talk cousins into taking less than the max as it gives Denver money to resign that defense cause I think they'll have to cut players eventually if they sign cousins to the max. At the moment I feel they're only a QB away from being in the SB, but long term I don't think they'll contend without drafting or signing replacements as that defense is slowly getting old. i haven't watched the cardinals much so I have no clue on how far they are, I know they got pretty far into the playoffs a few years back but is the roster still mostly intact? Plus I wonder about the new head coach.
