Wow, the toxic negativity in this thread is astonishing. First, BioWare gets flak for not talking too much about Balance changes (which they explained) and then, when things get more concrete, they announce it and people shit on them for "discussing and not just doing it". Either way BioWare approaches things they lose it seems... I for one look forward to the stream and what they've come up with. [X] its been a month with no talks until now.

It doesn't matter what they do, it doesn't matter what they say. It can't and won't be enough. They plunged themselves into a shithole they will never be able to leave without having turds sticking all over them. And they know it all too well. The only possible saving grace they can achieve is fixing the venom Can't say I wouldn't like that. That gun alone literally gave me thousands of hours of joy. But I don't think they'll be able to recapture its former glory. Because they quite obviously have no idea about/Vision for this game. Except jetpacks of course. Fuck Billy.

Could someone watching and posting on these streams post when are they going to fix the massive controller deadzone issue. I mean who cares if they ever make mp fun again if this deadzone issue is never going away. Asked about it last week on the stream (for PS4) and reply from BioWare (from Fernando I think) was "we are looking at it" Thanks for doing the good work, donkbettor.

Reloading? FUCKIT! Put mini-jetpacks on your ammo clips and they reload automatically! Cover? FUCKIT! Placeable jetpacks let you fire your cover into the enemy's face! Pizza objective? FUCKIT! Put a jetpack on the pizza and launch it mortar-style straight into the recovery zone! Pull and throw combo? FUCKIT! Place jetpacks on your enemies and launch 'm off the map! Ammo? tripleFUCKIT! Tiny nano-jetpacks installed on each bullet now increase the speed and lethality of you fired ammo, making every shot an instant kill! Yo dawg. I heard you like jetpacks. So I put a jetpack on your jetpack so you can doubel jump 'n shit.

Here is some input for the dicussion:
ME3MP: Harrier is 900 DPS. Black Widow is 700 DPS.
ME3MP therefore is a balanced game because a full auto mid range assualt rifle very obviously needs higher raw dps then a sniper rifle. Duh.
MEA: Revenant is 700 DPS. Vanquisher is 1200 DPS.
Biowar pls.
Discuss!

How does the "discussion" happens on stream? Hundreds of people in chat VS 2 developers? There were only about 15 people in the chat last week.

Biowar pls. Discuss! I am intrigued. Let me give it a try: Assault rifles should be the 'gold standard' for DPS, as they can be used at any range, but mid range most of the time. Shotguns should have a higher DPS, as they can only be used at close range. Pistols should have a slightly lower dps, as theyare basically backup assault rifles which don't weigh much. Sniper rifles should have high spike damage, but not a higher DPS per se. However, they should have specific modifiers such as higher weak zone damage, slow reload time, low clips, cover penetration, horrid no-scope inaccuracy and maybe something like a slower scope time (i.e. slower to ready your weapon) or slower movement to prevent it from being used at close to mid range. Now, within these classes you may add and extract a few points, but going cross class (like the talon) is really difficult for balance, I think, so as a developer trying to make a balanced game, I wouldn't.

Friday May 5th , somewhere in time.
BW:" terrible things are happening in Andromeda, terrible things, and we're gonna put a stop to it, soon, very soon, even now, our team is making plans to fix things. Great things will happen, great great things, you better believe that, and we'll make Andromeda great again . It will happen, in fact it's already happening, it's happening right now "

Five-years-in-the-making AAA game from a company that closed their forums, lost their claymore, can't play Gold, and now announces announcements deserves a bit of ridicule. Remember when they said the game features 'over 100 planets'? All they explained was that they have a corporate policy about not talking about stuff. Like it's a law of physics. But hey, the stream might be cool. I still like playing the game and hope they fix it.

Reading this thread, maybe we are worse than the gamefaqs forums. Lol.
We'll see what they discuss. This isn't the first nor will it be the last game where people need to have some patience. This game is not unique in that regard. As a matter of fact, almost every single game I've played from Destiny to COD to MMOs has been like this, so I'm not sure why people are even surprised. Developers don't usually discuss things until they are ready and testing and changing things takes time. I learned a long time ago that raging about it is just a waste of energy.
Speaking of Rage, I hope they're going to buff it a bit. Make the health regen a bit more robust and increase the DR. As it is now, Barrier and Combat Fitness are both superior survival tree due to having an oh shit ability (Saving Barrier and Hold the Line) to back up their other strong traits. Plus, it shouldn't be so focused on melee. It makes it nearly useless for the Krogan Engineer (while still necessary as the only survivl tool). I think they need to rework the Rank 6 abilities. Berserker is great for activating Rage at low health, but the whole 20 DR you get from Rage being active isn't going to save you for more than a second when you're that low on health and it regens so slowly.
Also hoping they listened on the power and combo buff, along with fixing weaker weapons. It's just sad when the best classes in the game by a large margin use either melee or snipers.

Billy will play on Silver, & when someone complains him not playing gold about it he'll say most players still play on bronze, the stream is for beginners, showing off new stuff, & not for showboating. Then he picks the Salarian Architect going into detail on how awesome he is, & Billy puts a Mattock on, takes 20 bodyshots to almost kill a silver raider, dies because a ninja Adhi grabs his leg, & he rage gels.

[X] its been a month with no talks until now. And that makes it OK to insult BioWare and give them shit? Btw. Destiny had even more irregular balance changes and basically destroyed any kind of diversity with the latest balance change, So yeah, I prefer BioWare taking their time and testing the changes.

Destiny had even more irregular balance changes and basically destroyed any kind of diversity with the latest balance change and they, too couldn't talk as much about those changes. So yeah, I prefer BioWare taking their time and testing the changes. The 100 planets were before they went away from procedural generated planets. Scopes and content can change in 5 years, it's not like they had the exact game in mind 5 years ago. I for one am glad they opted against 100 randomly generated planets that would have most likely been lifeless. But back to topic, we're talking about balance in this thread.

All of which got thrown out and they started from scratch on everything it seems.

I enjoyed ME3MP but mostly played it to get my war resources to 100% and then never touched the game again after that ending. I think the problem is that the ME3 blueprint wouldn't work quite as well here. Jetpacks obviously change the game play up, but so does the changes to powers themselves- no longer on shared cooldowns with the cooldowns being longer. So they would have had to adjust things. They just did it poorly on several aspects of gameplay. I figure I'll give them a chance to make right on it. We'll see.

Making a game with separate powers on separate cooldowns is essentially a solved problem.
So are games with high player mobility.

And that makes it OK to insult BioWare and give them shit? Btw. Destiny had even more irregular balance changes and basically destroyed any kind of diversity with the latest balance change, So yeah, I prefer BioWare taking their time and testing the changes. Yes, bioware should be held to a higher standard. This game has been development for five years and they're still trying to fix it how does that work? Higher standards = insults? Surely not.
