I thought I would be seeing more 2,3 shot burst weapons (e.g Incisor, Valkyrie) as people level up their weapons, ...but it seems like they are completely extinct in real games.
I have seen like one person using Valkyrie and two other people using Incisor when I first started this game.
After that, I have seen 0 person using burst weapons.
I guess they are just the worst among bad weapons...

Incisor has terrible climb, even worse than in ME3. Tolerable on a character with Turboboost or weapon passives but why Incisor when you could Vanquisher? Or Indra for that matter? Or Revenant?
Valkyrie is a sad joke. It just doesn't do enough damage.

At least I can kill stuff with the Incisor. The Sandstorm, while bad damage-wise, at least has manageable recoil and it's burst is instant. It's what I wish the Incisor was, but never will be. The Zalkan... there's no saving this weapon.

Why Incisor when you can Raptor? Every class of weapon should have its niche. I just found it funny that burst weapons are even less popular now than they were in ME3MP despite the fact now we have WAY MORE of them available.

Ehh incisors not so bad. Since it's uncommon it's feasible you have a high level version instead of a rare weapon. Some accuracy and stability Passives can keep the control manageable and the damage is solid. Not the worst weapon and definitely more of a sniper feel to it than the raptor. Which is also a good weapon.

Scattershot has a niche because it doesn't require reloading.
Zalkin is legitimately one of the worst designed guns in the history of shooters.

But... they don't. Not here, at least, unless being strictly worse than a non burst-fire option is considered a niche now.

Scattershot II on my havok on the shotgun bonus apex mission was lots of fun. Apparently I have a Zalkin VI. Haven't touched it or even really noticed it. I find most of the kett weapons to be extremely ugly. If you stripped them from my game, I would not notice or care. And the Valkyrie is a joke. The one time I used it, I had to clutch a few kett waves and ffs it was depressing.

My apology... there is some kind of burst energy weapon AR I can`t remember the name then... Might be the sweeper mentioned above? I think I tried energy AR 3 shot burst weapon.

On PC you can macro the zalkin to meh status. Using it as intended is pretty rage inducing though.

I don't like burst weapons as I seem to feel the damage decreases per successive trigger pull on the same target. If you delay your pulls, you will see the damage increase... Buuuuttttt, that lowers DPS... theoretically.
Part of me wonders if there's actually a "DPS" stat in the burst weapon algorithm that prevents them from exceeding a specific dps target... so pulling the trigger faster may have an observed effect of damage drop off per pull; when in reality, there's a background adjustment to the hits to make sure you're trigger speed doesn't turn the weapon into super gun.

I use the M-29 Incisor, At it's base the MEAMP M-29 Incisor is actually better than it's ME3MP counter part, & I found the recoil to be 100% manageable imo (I'm on PC).

I accidentally used the Zalkin and Sweeper in back to back games. I haven't repeated the experience. I just really wanted to find one assault rifle that didn't suck the proverbial donkey cock.

Zalkin is legitimately one of the worst designed guns in the history of shooters. I made the mistake when I first unlocked the Zalkin of taking it into a match without a backup weapon to try it out (Bronze, to clarify). I tried it during Wave 1, and then spent the rest of the match running around drawing aggro for my group since I was incapable of killing anything. Yes, yes, I could melee, etc, but I didn't as a protest for the terribleness of the Zalkin

Aside from the Vanq, the SRs also have the best ARs in the game like the Raptor, M-90 Indra, & the M-29 Incisor.

Because we had the Argus in ME3, and it kicked ass with its damage per bullet. With enough stability on a turian, it was possibly a better death dealer than the Saber.
