I ended up part of a group putting together a science fiction and fantasy short story anthology. Spent the better part of the past eight months working on it and finishing some sort of publishable writing was my New Year's Resolution for 2016. Or, well, just getting back into writing at all was actually my resolution... used to write a lot with dreams of authorhood until Mom's death a few years ago. That took all the wind out of my writing sails and I only just now righted that particular ship again. Everything else has been on the upswing since ME3MP dragged me out of that hole, but writing anything more entertaining than forum posts was the last thing to make a return to my life.

So, I'm pretty excited. Hoping to move on to a novel now. The anthology features two stories each from a total of five writers, so a good 200+ page value for FREE. We just wanna get our names out there, so there's three different eBook formats available for download here: DragonScript Books

Let me know if any of you end up grabbing it. I'm T. M. Lowe in there... wrote the Foreword as well as one science fiction story ("What Makes A Man") and one fantasy story ("The Lady and the Dragon").

This is really amazing. I'll download it and give it a read when I have the time. I've been planning a story for a novel for well over a year now, but just can't get myself to actually sit down, focus and actually write without thinking it's the worst thing ever written. :rollseyes:

One of my old high-school classmates just published her debut novel and it was actually for sale in my local bookstore when I went on Saturday.

So congratulations again, I know how difficult it can be to write something and actually put it out there for other people to read!

It can be tough to finally discipline yourself into actually sitting down for an allotted time each day to hammer something out, but once you finally get into a nice, established rhythm, it gets easier.
