This is the general attitude I have noticed in this thread and in any discussion revolving around Cerberus and a possible involvement in the Ai:
"It's utterly impossible for Cerberus to be involved with the Ai ,because I don't want them in the new game!"
Yet I am not seeing any sort of arguments that would disprove a possible involvement in the Ai. I only see personal opinions.
It's not a matter of "They're not involved because I say so"... It's a matter of continuity and evidence. The Cerberus I know -as Bioware have wrote them-,would never pass up such an enticing project. It is out of character and it breaks the lore. It wpuld just seem so weird.
In b4 someone accuses me of "not letting go of the past" Let me repeat , I don't like how Cerberus was handled in the writing department,I got really sick of fighting endless troops and finding Cerberus in every corner during ME3.
But... It 's not about what I want.It is about what makes sense and a Cerberus connection with the Ai makes more sense then NO connection at all and if we don't like it it's all Bioware's fault for making them who they were in ME3

Hmmm...
The game for me comes out on the 23rd and I realized that it happens to be the first anniversary with my man so it another reason this day is important. But since we 're both people who enjoy staying at home and we're both gamers ,I don't think we 'll go out for dinner. We also eat take out very often so a welcome change would be homecooked meals , I may get some alcohol too not sure what.Something light. What I know that I will have is definitely cake ,or cupcakes.
I was thinking of maybe homemade french toast in the morning. Some rice, chicken and vegetable dish for lunch. Then ,the cake for dinner? Hmmm I'm not sure.
I am still thinking. What the hell? I may make it a triple occasion, because in the summer when I had my birthday, I was sick with mono so I didn't even have a proper b-day...So bday/anniversary/Mass Effect Andromeda. I will try have as much fun as I can!No matter what I eat.I just want to forget my problems,my anxiety, my negative feelings and focus on what makes me happy for one day.

As I said ,not a movie about Shepard or anything we've seen in the games .it can be unrelated.Or based on pre existing lore. For example humanities entrance into the Galactic Community, First Contact War etc. Or a new spin off story. Bioware could expand the universe and franchise with new stories For example, the Assassin's Creed movie that came out features a nee protagonist ,not the game ones and therefore doesn't really screw with the games. It just expands the franchise. Kinda like the novels and comics did for ME, but better. I know game movies have been trash for years but that it changing...One movie at a time. I think a Witcher series and Halo series is in the making ,we are expecting a Tomb Raider reboot based on the game reboot , the AC movie wasn't bad, there are talks about a "The Last of Us" film ...I dunno I 'm just hoping I could see my favourite sci-fi universe in live action one day

Really ? Gavin does that? I played the mission where you meet him again but even though my character is mostly Renegade , I decided to tell him and not deny him information. My character is mostly Paragon. When I write about my playthroughs in "What did you do today in ME?" I do a whole role play thing. My Shepard wished he had done more than punch Archer in the gut - who, if I'm remembering rightly, took a shot at me to stop me from unhooking David. The guy is scum and so by the time I go to ME3, Shepard was done messing around. Gavin Archer could easily have been one of the people behind ME1 Cerberus experiments with husks, Thorian creepers and rachni. He wasn't - it's not his area of expertise - but he's of like mind. Someone like that couldn't be trusted and, from an RP perspective, he might be viewed as being potentially indoctrinated. As far as we know, none of the other scientists were working on stuff like Overlord. For the record, I also recently killed Petrovsky for the first time (again, mostly Paragon Shepard). The same reasons stand: he took people and turned them into monsters. That's the Cerberus way and my Shepard has no used for them. I realize that losing those two meant losing about 50 war assets but it's not my first time through and I have more than made up for that loss. Hmm I see. I understand and agree. I try to roleplay my characters as well to an extent. This playthrough my Shep can be really nice if caught in the right mood I guess when she spoke to Archer , her mind was mostly preoccupied with how to get the ex- Cerb scientists, women and children safely off that base. If she had met him under other ciecumstances she would have acted otherwise.

As much as I adore time travel (Doctor Who fan here!) I don't know if I need this in the ME franchise and I don't knownif it actually fits the universe. It is a huge Deus Ex Machina...:/ I am actually conflicted on this because I have thought about it myself in the past. It would be sort of OK to use it but NOT as a continuous part of the lore.I wouldn't want it to be an integral part of the MEU because after that....anything is possible ,anything can happen and in the end nothing ever matters because nothing is final. I would only like it to be a one-time event. Like if they used it to screw the Reapers remove them from the timeline

Anyone else get the feeling that it is finally time for a Mass Effect movie?
Video game movies are getting better, the industry seems to be taking them more seriously and we have many upcoming movies to look forward to.The ones already out may not be perfect but they are way better than the trash we 've seen in the past.
I know they were supposed to be making a ME film but canned it. My idea is that it would be best to create a new-ish story within the MEU thus expanding it ,like thr comics and books and not make a movie with Commander Shepard which would be very hard to do . Hell, a TV series would be amazing.
As a franchise that wishes to expand, starting a production now to transfer it to the screen would be great. As I said, no adaptation of already existing in-game story but a whole new story .

Hmmm
Mass Effect 1 I have never finished on a difdiculty higher than Hardcore because the shooting is very clunky, the game qould have framedrops and I usually just want to finish it faster.
Mass Effect 2 I played on fluctuating difficulties. I tried sticking to Insanity but when things got rough or I had no time I dropped to Hardcore and Veteran.
Mass Effect 3 with an imported character is a breeze on Insanity.I haven't been tempted to lower the difficulty not once. There were some truly rough parts but Insanity on ME3 is easier that Insanity on ME2.
The class that was best for me has been Infiltrator. Tactical cloak is a lifesaver, you should also focus on power recharging faster and focus on weapon damage. Always use the squadmates powers, use the right ammo types and in ME3 make use of the biotic and tech explosions and combos. It was really awesome using Frag 'nades and Warp plus Incinerate on a cluster of targets and just wreak havoc.

Finished ME3 - Salarians did their happy dance after learning the genophage was sabotage - quarians live another day - Conrad Verner pulled me from the rubble. My hero Time - just under 6 hours Are you speedrunning them? For me ME1 always takes less time.I can't get myself to do every single thing because the game is quite outdated. I focus on story,do some side quests and it takes me 30 on average. I finished ME2 with all DLC and all sidequests (apart from the Forged ID) and on fluctuating difficulty levels (Veteran-Hardcore and Insanity) and it took about 59 hours. On ME3 ,on Insanity I have reached the story up to the Citadel Coup and Ardat Yakshi monastery, from DLCs I have done Eden Prime and now I'm doing Omega and I have currently clocked at 30 hours. I have never tried to speed through them.Should be quite interesting, especially ME2.I want a playthrough where literally everyone dies hahhaah Edit: Sorry for not realizing I was replying to an ancient post

I have a question:p
I am playing the trilogy again after 3 years and I am currently in ME3 (plus ALL dlc).
Post -EC ,does the Galactic Readiness count? I am probably 60% through the game and my EMS bar is almost full. Will I need to play MP to get the best ending? I thought that was patched up.

I haven't read the whole thread so maybe what I say had already been said. I have been playing through the entire trilogy plus all DLC since December and now I am in ME3. From ME2 I played Overlord for the first time and I must say it was beautifully done. The shots in the cutscenes and close ups on Davids tears while he was hooked on that machine...Seriously. I don't know how some players would consider not rescuing him. As bad as killing Mordin I find leaving David with his brother WORSE than killing Mordin in some ways. David is such an innocent. He never signed on for what was happening, or probably wasn't mentally able to give true consent. If he stays he dies. It's why I'm glad I discovered I could deny Gavin Archer any info about David in ME3, leading to his suicide. Really ? Gavin does that? I played the mission where you meet him again but even though my character is mostly Renegade , I decided to tell him and not deny him information.

Firstly,No Day 1 DLC!
Secondly, give us proper expansions not tiny DLC and make the story in them interesting and not unnecessary fluff.
Anyway,I only hope they just don't cut anything too vital to the games plotm and capitalize on it as it happened with Javik.

I loved that little touch. You would see character development in the NPCs with every new lines they would have . My favourites had to be the Turian guard and the teenage girl on the Docks, the annoyed batarian the the french guy on the docks ,the old woman with the asari in the embassies

My two cents on the topic.
I always believed they were involved somehow. Ever since the first speculations about the "ArkCon" and the immensity of such a project and the funding and backing it would need. At this point, Cerberus being entirely omitted would be very weird.
We know the Ark leaves between ME1-ME2 ,isn't that right? Well, Cerberus was OK up until that point. They weren't the all-powerful ,annoying Cerberus we all got fed up and ended up hating in ME3 . The Cerberus of 2184-2185 is an entirely different beast. Remember that.
Do I think Cerberus is fully behind the Ai? Absolutely not. Do I have the mood to fight endless waves of Cerberus troops all over again ? Hell no. Do I think Cerberus might have some involvement with Ai? Hell yes .Do I want that? I don't know, only because it would make sense. Do I think Cora is TIMs daughter? Very likely. Do I want it? Yes. Would I want her to be a sleeper agent/Cerberus infiltrator? No , I'd like her to actually have no knowledge of her father whatsoever.
I mean ,there is quite some small evidence and hints here and there...and then there is Alec Ryder and the advancement of humanity and SAM and the way SAM is used (implants being too invasive). Could he be Cerberus? Him and Jien ?Are we talking about maybe a branch of Cerberus? A totally different organization or just no organization but a similar mindset and belief.
The possibilities are endless and Cerberus being involved in Ai is one of them and a very likely one to be true.
Then again, we can be dealing with the other likely scenario which is bad writing with a good side serving of Bioware trolling. In that scenario, Harper is just a coincidence , Alec is just a humble scientist and SAM a purely innocent creation , the massively expensive 10 year Ai project is backed up only by civilians and its cause is to simply...explore.

Why stop there? Why not make an adventure game in the Mass Effect setting? I'm thinking strike a deal with the telltale games people and make it happen. Tales of Mass Effect has a nice ring to it. Actually ,with the rhythm TellTale has been making games these past few years ,there is a high possibility and also high potential . I am actually amazed it hadn't happened yet.I wish they made a First Contact War game ! Or made a game about the expedition that passed through Charon Relay....Or generally about the discovery of the Prothean Ruins. Those events are already set and a visual novel type game like TellTale games ,and not an actual game would be a cool way to explore the background and prequel stories of the MEU.

The ME Universe is a vast and rich sci-fi setting where frankly any type of game would be cool.
An RTS would be so freaking cool , even an FPS. Also, an MMO would be so awesome, where you could be any race and any faction, good or bad. Alliance ,STG, Asari Commando ,Turian Military or even in a mercenary band.

We have both PS4 and XboxOne in my household but no up to date gaming PC yet. I will be getting this for PS4 since that is the platform most of the people I play with use. For every 10 people I know on PS4 there is only 1 friend on Xbox .

I would definitely appreciate a good balance of all the above.
As someone said earlier , I don't want to feel I am doing the same side mission over and over or exploring the same vault over and over. (Leave that to the Multiplayer which I am sure I will enjoy) Also I 'd like the "fetch" quests to be a bit more complex, not simply go to point A and bring object x to person/point B.
Also ,please for the love of the Goddess ,no vast beautiful planets full of emptiness. Inquisition is one of my favourite games but at some point I got tired. So tired that when I started the DLCs recently -after managing to stay away from Tresspasser spoilers for more than a year- , I started playing JoH and I got so bored I skipped it and The Descent just to go play Tresspasser to see how the story ends.

Do you guya think SAM will ever get a body aka mobile platform like EDI did? Or a hologram like Cortana? Or would the plots be too similar?
If u think about it, he already has a mobile unit. Anyone with the chip implant is SAMs body in a way.
Wait a minute...
That is actually kind of scary :s

Let me repeat that we need a Kallo Jath platonic romance for Sara in our lives! I never had a thing for Salarians like I had for Turians or Drell whom I find very attractive , Kallo is special. He looks cute ,youthful ,inquisitive, bright and he would definitely be the perfect match for a nerdier Sara roleplay. I mean there 's something pure and beautiful in his big black eyes.
Omg I am going to have hard time choosing a romance for my first playthrough. In ME I have romanced Liara as BroShep and Garrus as FemShep. In Dragon Age games , I have always chosen in advance and then my character ended up with someone else. In Origins, I tried for Alistair but his character never saw eye to eye with mine but was drawn like a magnet to Zevran. In Inquisition , I decided Iron Bull but then went for Blackwall for my human mage but something never clicked and I ended with Cullen.(Well in DA2 it was Fenris and no otger:p)
Back on topic , I strongly believe we need this purely innocent romance/deep friendship between a FemRyder and Kallo.

OFF-TOPIC: Perfect answer to the "OMG Cora is ugly , she has a 'lesbian' haircut" camp. Starbuck had short hair for the most part of BSG and most men found her super hot. I was lucky enough to have met (and taken a picture" with Katee Sackhoff and Tricia Helfer and she looked ( i mean both looked) a m a z i n g from up close . Anyway to not derail the topic , I watched this video today and I must say it reflects most of my thoughts on the Ai. There is definitely something going on with it and I cannot wait to find out.

Those are QA things. By polishing, I mean smoothing out animations, filling in sound effects, adding dialogue where it makes sense, improving textures, etc. Also, QA is not a fool-proof safety net. They could spend 2 years quality testing the game and still not catch everything. Regardless, I don't think I experienced a single bug when playing ANY of the Mass Effect games, console or PC. Which is a rarity. Ooh, like Shepard's conversation with Kasumi cutting out during her mission on the Citadel? Or Ash's Marksman bug? ...and the Jarrahe Station bug on PC where the light puzzle caused crashes. ...the crash bug if you assigned powers to quick slots during Tali Recruitment on PC again. ...the Aria mission bug to get all mercenary bands on her side.Experienced both on PC and on console recently. From the top of my head 3 bugs

I 'm just SO DAMN CURIOUS as to how aliens in the ME universe sound like. Not so much the languages themselves ,as much as the phonetics of them and the way they vocalize, the sounds etc. The wouldn't need to make a whole language.Just some basic sentences ,expressions or words.
Anyway, does anyone know if it has been ever mentioned that the aliens in the ME universe have countries? Normally they should have different countries, regions therefore different dialects . For example a hint comes from Turians. You have the Roman sounding names that end is -us and then you have random names like Oraka.
