Ryder can say that he thinks the food is dangerous to eat, and who knows. Also where was it waved away? Im curious
The whole thing with Tali in 3 banging Shepard with impunity.
Well Tali makes the comment that she's adapted to Shepard after sexy time in 3. Exchanging liquids was not brought up however, but for Tali I'd still probably take that risk.

Pfft, I got Avela and Keri as my side ladies. THE ANDROMEDA HAREM BEGINS!!!
Hey now... A little side fun is all right if you do Cora or PB but Vetra deserves full attention!
(Avela is pure science but I'll wait for the full romance in the sequel before committing to her. Also since the angaran male and female body is the same and after seeing the naked Jaal I'm not sure I want that. )
Well we all want Vetra and were not sure what she looks like under the armor. We only have our wild erotic imaginations to hold us over for now.

I've already started Meridian when the patch landed so I decided to finish the game with the 'vanilla' version. I was happy with the default-default but this is clearly an improvement. PB-Sara was a bit of a letdown and I still couldn't get myself to go after the dudes. So I guess Vetra gets a Sara 2.0 in pt#4. Oh, well...
Vetra is my one and only.

I'm curious to see where the Vetra romance will go, I think the only romance I wanted to see continue from Bioware was Morrigan in DAO. While I prefer what Mass Effect did with having the same PC and Squad in multiple games, I always enjoy first meetings and first romances more than expanding upon them. But Vetra is definitely one I'm looking forward to them expanding upon, I'm just not sure how.
Morrigan's my top romance from BW for sure, and probably my favorite part of DAI. To be honest I'm not sure where they'd go from here without Ryder. They wrote themselves into a corner with the ME3 endings for continuing the Milky Way, short of canonizing one of them. And their preferred ending is probably the least popular one. At least with Control/Destroy you could handwave them away with enough time. They can start expanding on Vetra with an actual sex scene.
Destroy is canon. I know people can make "their Shepard" however they like but the "character" of Shepard that Bioware created would only ever pick Destroy. He also lives in only that ending and that was deliberate on Bioware's part.
Yep Morrigan showing up and gushing over My Warden was the highlight on DAI and probably the only part of that game I actually liked.
I'd be the one "expanding" for a Vetra sex scene if ya know what I mean.

Ashley was meh in 1, in 3 I only tolerated her cuz she got hotter (shallow ). I'm still curious if they will continue with Ryder in MEA2, if so then yes Vetra will be my canon romance in this new trilogy or however many games there will be. However if they don't use Ryder, what romances would people most like to see?
To each their own, I found Tali meh usually. I never wanted to romance her because she always struck me as a little sister type. I think they will continue Ryder, unless longer term sales reflect a disappointment. If they don't use Ryder, I'm not after anything specific. I got my hope for a female turian romance after Nyreen's appearance in Omega. I hope they do continue Ryder, because I want to see them grow a bit more.

ME1 is my personal favorite still (just not..combat). I love the Suicide Mission for what it is, but I hate that it hamstrung the squad composition in 3. Every ME2 squadmate that isn't Garrus or Tali got sidelined because they could all potentially be dead. It sucked assembling this new team, bonding with them, and losing everyone but Team Dextro. Even though I liked Vega more than I was expecting, I hated them bringing a new guy in the final act, and I was perfectly fine with disembodied EDI. Would have preferred to have Grunt, Miranda, or Jack back instead.
Vetra will be my canon romance for Andromeda though. I never settled on one for the trilogy because I was never huge into any of them. I liked ME1 Ashley a lot, but that changed quickly in ME3.

I've been replaying the ME Trilogy before I start my New Game Plus on Andromeda; and going through Mass Effect 3, I much prefer the mission structure of this game than the open world to Andromeda. An amazing 45 hour experience is much better than 90 in an open world where even though the combat may shine, the structure and story do not.
I'm also a blasphemer who's favorite game in the trilogy is Mass Effect 3.
I like 3 but the Loyalty missions and the suicide mission in 2 were my favorite parts of the trilogy.
The Suicide Mission was one of the best ending missions to any game ever. Loyalty missions were hit and miss for me, I still prefer actually doin' shit in 3 then wasting my time gathering a team that couldn't deal with their own personal shit by themselves (seriously Jacob, daddy issues? Get the hell off my ship) and leave anyways in 3.
Did anyone else realize that Mordin had a different voice actor for 3? I never noticed back then.
Dammit I keep goin off topic from Vetra. Vall, you ruined me with your off topic derailments. You need to come back so I stop doin it.

There hasn't been enough Vetra for me to dethrone Tali so quickly. All we get from Vetra is her "you, me, so unlikely" whereas with Tali she gave a speech I loved; of how she's been watching Shepard for so long and that she couldn't believe he would ever see past just her mask.
It's all good. Shep-Tali is canon and Scott-Vetra too. No competition. Tali is pure sweetness, the ME2 arc is better and the 3 goodbye gets me every time. Vetra is awesome and full of love. The only 'problem' with her romance is the pacing and screentime. A potentially 100 hours (finished at 90 for the first run) game and the romance is only about 30 min. I enjoyed the open world element of it, a significant improvement from DAI, but the gameplay vs everything else proportions are really out of balance.

I hate Asari (especially after that crap in 3 of them hoarding a Beacon for power), but give me a Matriarch Aged Milf (MAF) romance and I *preparing to dodge rocks * would throw all other romances under the bus for her. :contempt:
I loved me some Aria. She was way older also right?
Yes, Samara was nearly 1000. And Shepard was like 30 which is why I loved her line "I would not have dreamed that one so young, could touch me". You'd be robbing the cradle there Samara, haha. Aria was in her Matron years i believe, so around 600ish, which is near the end of Matron and beginning of Matriarch.

Haha not gonna lie bro, as much as I love Vetra the temptation of a MAF may be too much for my weak human willpower to withstand. *high five*
*brofist* However as this is a Vetra thread I will push down my urges of a MAF until one exists and devote my love to Vetra..... for now.

Oh no it's all in good fun, haha. I still don't count ME1 as a romance for either Garrus or Tali even if some people do. I'm hoping to finish ME3 by tomorrow when the patch comes out and fixes the galaxy map crap. I've been going through the trilogy again before I start new Game Plus.
Side note. Cryo really made the Asari ugly. I miss you Samara.
Haha same, gonna start on my new game after the patch, hope a decent amount of things are fixed. Why you give Asari puffy cheeks bioware!

So what your saying is, MEA shouldn't have had a Vetra romance and we should've waited until ME2.
No what I'm saying is you are comparing two romances that have different amounts of time to let them build.

Well to me Tali had one game of romance development, Mass Effect 2. 3 expanded it a bit but if I just compare Tali's romance from ME2 versus Vetra's romance from MEA, Tali wins out. *ducks from thrown rocks*
Well I mean most of that attraction started in ME1 so again we need another game *hits you with rock*

As far as favorite characters go, how does Vetra rank for everybody?
Vetra, Jaal and Drack.
For the ME OT: Garrus, Javik, Tali, Mordin.
And Vetra is my waifu #1. Sorry Tali ;(

I played a Logical and professional Sara and that style really fit for me. Only using the emotional option when she was vulnerable. I think Fryda's delivery was very on point with those choices.
I choose casual to cuss out some characters which I loved and emotional with certain scenes/Vetra but yea like I said mainly logical/professional.
I chose casual (sarcastic) every chance I got due to the voice actor sounding like Nolan North (Nathan Drake).

Exposing Sarissa and keeping her as Pathfinder is a no no, considering she doesn't help save Captain Dunn. I also think you need Raeka alive but I'm not sure on that one. Also how many Krogan did Drack have as scouts? 10 or so? Who cares if they get exalted, this isn't like when they exalt the Angaran's by the thousands.
Am I seriously the only one on this board who actively dislike the Krogan as a species? There are individual exceptions I like, (ie. Wrex, Drack, Grunt) but Krogan are the absolute dumbest species from the Milky Way.
I mean how many Krogan went to another galaxy while still carrying the Genophage? If the writing didn't attempt to gloss this over with "we had some medical shit done to us in cryo to sort of fix it" bullshit the Krogan would never be able to repopulate and die off in a few hundred years from all the infighting.
Also did Drack bang his granddaughter? Who the hell is the father?
You don't need Raeka alive or Sarissa's reputation intact. I had Sarissa (exposed), Hayjer, and Avitus. Dunn survived. I'm only wondering if Vederia is capable of the biotic bubble on Meridian. It probably is just a "Do you have 3 Pathfinders?" It's boring, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Krogan are dangerous. Especially with someone like Wreav at the helm. But I never liked the Genophage debate much with the Salarian government's position on it in ME3. Uplifting them was a short term solution for the Rachni that blew up in their faces later (and I can't believe they were planning on uplifting the Yahg after the fact.) Curing the Genophage in the context of the Reaper War is similar, except the Reapers are a far greater threat than the Rachni ever were. There's a lot of dangerous, desperate decisions in ME3 that wouldn't take place the same way outside the context of the invasion.
I won't forgive them for leaving Claymores and Graals in the Milky Way though.
The father? After Drack's loyalty mission and a follow-up task, it has to be Vorn.
I was hoping it'd be more substantial than just "having 3 Pathfinders", oh yeah Vorn, forgot about him.
I'm still damn pissed how they are glossing over the genophage in this game. It pisses me off after all that shit we went through in 3 and everything the females endured and apparently all it took was some "magic during cryo" to cure them.
Do you wanna go Pokemon hunting tonight? Cuz I wanna catch a Pikachu. (I'll see myself out.)
It wasn't really about the scouts themselves. Let the kett figure out how to exalt krogan? They just need to kidnap them after that and put them in the magic jars, poof, instant super-abominations. Raeka did save us and I felt bad for not saving her back, but she kinda made a stupid decision by going after a few salarians when she had an ark full of them. Yet another sequel bait decision so until I see the ramifications in the next game(s) I'll stick to the krogans. Maybe my emotional-casual Sara will pick her since the loyalty quest can negate Drack's disapproval and I'm a bit curious how the her presence changes the later scenes/quests (just tonally I guess).
Yeah, giving the Kett more Kett-Brutes wasn't something I wanted. I'm curious about Raeka's involvement in the Salarian conspiracy quest vs Hayjer, but it's likely tonal.
I kept wondering about the impact of Sarissa being replaced as Pathfinder personally. My emotional/casual Ryder exposed her but was in no way letting Vederia take over. I'm skeptical she could have done the barrier later on.
As for Vetra, she's easily my favorite character in Andromeda, as well as my favorite romance in Mass Effect overall. Needs more hip gyrating though.

Blame the Salarians for not leaving them be. The prime directive exists for a reason.
Well the galaxy would be pretty screwed if the Salarians didn't uplift the Krogan to fight the Rachni, so it was either follow the directive or risk the entire galaxy. But when they rebelled I agree with what Javik said about this, I wouldn't have even bothered with the Genophage and just would have used the Turian Bomb to end them then and there. Man do I sound evil, haha.
