I don't know if it means anything, but Michael Gamble liked a couple of tweets that asked for a bi Jaal to be patched in. Probably inconsequential and I'm naive for pointing it out, but I like to have slivers of hope.

So. Yeah. I'm in a bit of a ideological bind. Do I play a female Ryder because it's the only way to experience the content I want, despite the fact it's me playing outside of my box (in fact, crushing and tearing said box to pieces) Or stick to my guns, play a male Ryder and just deal with...whatever I get. You could do what I did with femShep and plan to do in ME:A: play a "crossdressing" male protagonist using the female model. Sure it's a cope out, sure it really sucks and some scenes will be irksome, but Bioware can't control our imaginations so -shrug-. I also don't like Gil or Reyes enough to settle with them, so it's the only way I can deal with it and still enjoy it.

I'm really sorry if posting that tweet made everyone upset, but I'd be remiss if there was something new and wasn't shared imho. As devoid of hope as I am right now.

Erm... guys? I really REALLY don't want to revive the flames of rage, but there's a new small piece of contradictory info.
Sorry if this has been posted before.

Romance spoilers: I'm one to join with my fellow players' opinions about the fiasco that is the m/m romance options in Andromeda.
I wont repeat the very valid points everyone else has described, but I will rather focus on the fact that, for four games now, no alien option has been given to gay players.
While I can understand gating certain races as options due to lore issues regarding the fertility or quantity of the species, any other, and especially a new race such as the Angara, should've been given a chance to be the first male alien for the gay demographic.
And I'm sure Gil and Reyes are lovely characters, but it's simply not the same, and personally no gay man should have to consider playing as a female just to bond in depth with the character that has infatuated so many.
Aliens might be foreign and strange, but I always felt that one of Mass Effect's strengths was to make them more approachable, more human. Please, consider giving gay players the chance to fairly engage with one.

At this point, do you think if we use puppy eyes with the devs they'll release a patch that unlocks the gated bi Jaal? The code is all there already!
Sorry, disappointment, even when slight, is still a bitter ride.

I've been lurking in this thread for a while and I didn't think the situation would devolve into such a circus. I was convinced this was just some "hype-ploy" to keep people talking and guessing only to reveal Jaal was in fact bi, but this is kind of more unconsciously mean than I expected, especially keeping in mind there was entire lines of code left, not just a few sound clips. Hope someone can get the devs to do some 'splaining, in a civil and decent manner of course.
Meanwhile I'll just have to ready myself to play as femRyder just like I had to play as femShep since Garrus was the only one I liked as a romance... what a shitfest.
