A valuable lesson I learned that I am going to share: Don't waste your time and energy focusing on what you do not like. It keeps you angry and doesn't feel good. The only one who really loses is you. People you hate, companies you hate do not suffer unless they are personally troubled by your hate. The best thing you can do is use your hate to form a focused idea of what you did/do want. Then put your attention on that. Focusing on what you want feels much better than being angry at what you don't want. I learned this the hard way. I spent way too much time being disgusted with DAI and started falling into that here with some of the flaws I found in MEA. While there are still things I think could be fixed or should have been done better I usually just laugh them off now. Frankly, it feels much better. Maybe they will get it right next time. Maybe not. But I don't fell bad about what they got wrong anymore. And to be fair, this wasn't nearly as bad as ME3 which was depressing as fuck. By my standards, they are moving up in the world. I agree. I've been actually looking at software so I can do my own home editing of game streams. I'm so behind the times... I'm a Bioware junkie, so I get stupid angry like one, when I feel as if I bought "bunk." Anyway, I get where he's coming from, but once the horse is kicked to death... it becomes uncomfortable for everyone, when the horse is back to being kicked again. For me, the realization is this: I AM NEVER PRE-ORDERING ANYTHING FROM BIOWARE until Bioware shows me that they're worth trusting again. Andromeda is good and it deserves praise for what it did get right. I don't think anyone here on these forums doesn't know EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM with the game by now. All we can do is wait, give the lower-level guys a chance to finish this game.

Whoa ! When other guy is making 3 new topics called "Reviewer ABC likes MEA" one after another - everything is absolutely fine, but when this guy is making opposite topic, he is a sad troll ? Double standards. dmc1001 's threads were a tongue in cheek nod to Suikoden's incessant bitching and trolling. Many are tired of it. I think it's a bizarre to be so dedicated to hating a game, and to actively spreading that hate, even where it's unwanted. The dude needs a new game, a hobby, a date... something to reset his life course. The MEA trolling is headed nowhere. Right, I'm glad DMC1001 did that. It keeps reminding me to get off my anger kick and re-appreciate what potential did shine through in the first place... and yeah... still f***ing way better than Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Far Cry 4, Diablo 3 and whatever else in my huge libraries of games. Yo, I have a lot, and the best are all Bioware products with just a few titles from different genres in there.

Andromeda is good and it deserves praise for what it did get right. I don't think anyone here on these forums doesn't know EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM with the game by now. All we can do is wait, give the lower-level guys a chance to finish this game. Plus, if we try, we can find something positive with most stuff. I mean, the game isn't garbage. Agreed. For me, the stuff I don't like doesn't make it unplayable. It might make it less enjoyable in some ways, but once I got off focusing on that, I found there were a lot of things about it that I do like. The combat for me is better than all the other games though I do miss a good grab for kicks. The story idea is good, delivery less so, but once I really stopped focusing on that, I found that I can still get that great ME1 feeling if I focused on my character making a difference, his end of it rather than the story side of it. Then it became pretty awesome. Most stuff has good and bad, things you like and things you don't like. It's hard when things aren't at all what you hoped to focus on the bits of it that are workable or perhaps likable. But once you shift to that, it might not be so bad. Though I guess it depends on the person. DAI for me was a fail, for example. I just could not get into that game no matter how hard I tried. MEA though I can, thankfully. Yeah, preorders rarely go well these days. It's always much nicer to get a game later for cheaper and have those bugs all sorted out. In my case, I don't regret my preorder though because I am playing the game now and had nothing else to play because I was sick to death of ESO. For people who find it unplayable though, that really sucks. I can understand their disgust.

Double standards. Pretty much, double standards. Also, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a negative review, but have to actively search for a positive one. That's telling, and very much deserved. See, this is inaccurate, just popped over to metacritic under professional critics 28 positive 28 mixed and 1 negative for ps4. 23 positive, 11 mixed and 0 negative for xbone. 17 positive, 17 mixed and 1 negative for PC
