it needs at least a 200% damage increase.Having it's base damage at 1500 would actually make it useful. I think around 100% would be fine. That puts it at around 1300 damage with a rank X barrel mod, and with a rank X clip mod you get two shots. Combine that with the fact that it reloads a second faster than the other one shot guns in the game (Widow, and Isharay), and I think that would be a very justifiable window for it damage wise. Especially considering that a lot of characters get more weapon damage bonuses on top. An Angara Avenger with 28% bonus weapon damage for instance (not even considering any cloak boosts), with any of the two augments that boost pistol damage by 10% would boost the Ushior up to around 1700 damage per shot. So, yes please to major buff, but lets not go overboard....200% and that gun suddenly maxes out at a 2.5k monster, which translates to like 3.5k critspot damage (which you should always be hitting with a gun that accurate anyway). Ushior is only roughly equivalent to the Executioner from the ME3 pistol lineup and given it's UR+single-shot clip, it should pack Executioner level punch, imo. Currently it has lower MAX DPS than the Phalanx and much lower sustained DPS than the Phalanx. 200% barely cuts the mustard IMO, at this rarity and with the single shot clip.

You don't balance weapons assuming Rank X barrels mods.
Ushior needs to deal single-shot SR level damage, considering it is in effect a SR that is in the pistol slot.
The Widow deals around 1300 damage at Rank X.
So I'd say Ushior rank I should deal around 1300 damage considering it is two tiers above the Widow.

Well, yeah I did ignore your rationale because I had a different one and a different point-of-view entirely. I was not trying to attack your position, but offer my alternative solution to the problem of no one in their right mind ever choosing to use this gun given the vast plethora of better options from within the pistols and other weapon classes. Casters are afforded a much, much broader range of weapons that don't increase their cooldowns compared to ME3, and there are many better and more common pistols, all indicating that Ushior simply should be ignored, period. Executioner is not quite +100% damage of Ushior for bodyshot, but in ME3 the headshot bonus was a 2.5 multiplicative bonus so headshot for Executioner is > +100% damage over Ushior headshot with its terrible 1.4 multiplicative bonus. Ushior is rarer and has a longer reload time which is > than +100% slower than the Executioner reload time, if you cancel the reload animation in ME3 MP, so I'd also accept that the Ushior should be stronger than Executioner to account for this. IMO, it absolutely needs to pack a solid punch to make it worth equipping, given the risk of whiffing your one shot. I support your call on a 100% buff to bodyshot damage but I'd want a higher headshot multiplier as well with that level of buff for totally different reasons than those you offered. I would go as high as +200% to Ushior damage, to account for much slower reload time and higher rarity than the Executioner, and/or lack of a headshot multiplier buff. Executioner X bodyshot with no buff = 981.1 Executioner X headshot with no buff = 2.5*981.1 = 2452.75 Ushior X bodyshot with no buff = 535 Ushior X headshot with no buff = 1.4*535 = 749 +200% bufffed Ushior X bodyshot with no buff = 535 + 1070 = 1605 +200% buffed headshot Ushior X headshot with no buff = 1.4*(535+1070) = 2249.8 or +100% bufffed Ushior X bodyshot with no buff = 535 + 535 = 1070 +200% buffed headshot Ushior X headshot with no buff = 1.4*(535+1070) = 2249.8 or +100% bufffed Ushior X bodyshot with no buff = 535 + 535 = 1070 +100% buffed headshot Ushior X +50% headshot multiplier with no buff = (1.4+0.7)*(535+535) = 2247 None of which seem out of line to me. you are asking for - +100% bufffed Ushior X bodyshot with no buff = 535 + 535 = 1070 +100% buffed headshot Ushior X headshot with no buff = 1.4*(535+535) = 1498 and that seems underpowered to me given how slow this thing is to reload and its rarity, but to each their own I suppose. Also, I won't even get into how much more you need a strong DPS gun in ME:A over ME3 because all powers and combos have been nerfed to the point that most casters' sustained DPS from casting is a tiny fraction of what they could output in ME3. Plus with cooldown maxxing at 100% instead of 200% and as slow as a geological process, casters are clearly intended to rely on their guns in ME:A. That said, I seriously doubt anything like those buffs will happen since you can keep your 100% cooldown with far more weapons in this game than ME3, so there are plenty of better options and no one will notice the Ushior even exists, let alone complain loud enough about it's trash-tier status to get any reasonable buffs from the devs.
