Ooh Ooh! My Senior Seminar for my undergrad (Political Science) was all about understanding the underlying biological differences in the human brain. The rationale is that conservative brains are more attuned to things like physical reward/punishment, fear, disgust, and external stimuli, while the liberal brain is more attuned to esoteric reward/punishment, internal stimuli, and openness to differences and new experiences. In the studying of the potential differences of Biology and Politics, psychologists/sociologist/political scientists organized a test that used the Big Five personality traits: Neuroticism - emotional stability and balance Agreeableness - how willing to compromise/see other perspectives Openness - willing to try new ideas or maintain traditional views Extraversion - how social are you Conscientiousness - are you drawn to the abstract and esoteric or to the physical and practical It was found that the key trait of difference for liberals and conservatives was openness, with liberals scoring higher in openness, and conservatives scoring lower. Some minor differences occurred with neuroticism (liberals have higher levels, conservatives have lower) and agreeableness (liberals higher, conservatives lower). Anyway, I have a 77% Liberal/Democratic Brain. I figured I would.

Which is amazingly ironic. My background is relentlessly bourgeousie with sturdy rustic peasantry before that. Mine was Traditional Working Class (even though I actually knew all the terms for the fancy stuff): n Britain, you'd come from a traditionally working class background. You’re proud of your roots, of your family and the community you grew up in. Your language reveals that you’re no nonsense in how you communicate; you prefer to call a spade a spade - who has time for pretensions and metaphors when you could just say what you mean? You went to a state (public) school - and you might have gone to university but no matter how much you learn or how successful you become, you’ll always be a working class kid at heart. I think that was ironic for me as well. I come from a family where myself and my parents have been educated (Mom and I both have Master's, and I'm planning on another Master/PhD), both have respectable white collar jobs, both are former Naval Officers (The Navy is seen as the upper class branch of service, though in fairness, they both went through OCS after college), most of my extended family has an education except for two cousins, one of whom hasn't started elementary school yet. I suppose before my parents, I came from working class American stock (though my mother's mother was descended from one of the oldest European families in North America.) Both my grandfathers were Navy Enlisted, one became an electrician and postal worker, the other a general contractor and later small-business owner. My maternal grandmother was also in the postal service, and my dad's mom was a secretary and housewife before becoming a small-business owner as well. None of them were college-educated, and only my dad's parents even graduated high school!

This one isn't accurate... D&D Neutral Good Human Ranger (4th Level) Ability Scores: Strength- 15 Dexterity- 17 Constitution- 15 Intelligence- 15 Wisdom- 16 Charisma- 14 Alignment: Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.
Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Class: Rangers- Rangers are skilled stalkers and hunters who make their home in the woods. Their martial skill is nearly the equal of the fighter, but they lack the latter's dedication to the craft of fighting. Instead, the ranger focuses his skills and training on a specific enemy a type of creature he bears a vengeful grudge against and hunts above all others. Rangers often accept the role of protector, aiding those who live in or travel through the woods. His skills allow him to move quietly and stick to the shadows, especially in natural settings, and he also has special knowledge of certain types of creatures. Finally, an experienced ranger has such a tie to nature that he can actually draw on natural power to cast divine spells, much as a druid does, and like a druid he is often accompanied by animal companions. A ranger's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

As a political scientist, I can tell you that it's ironically actually one of the better ways of gauging ones ideological inclinations and values. The trick is this; politics and ideology are much more ingrained in the psyche of the brain than was previously thought. So much so that research has indicated that there are distinct differences in the brains of liberal-minded people and conservative-minded people. For example, liberals have more grey matter (neural connections and pathways), and conservatives have a slightly larger right-amygdala (more attuned to feelings of fear and disgust, and overall attentiveness to their physical environment). By gauging how one reacts to certain stimuli and scenarios, and extrapolating the various feelings associated with the stimuli and scenarios, we can construct a potential map of ones ideological disposition, such as an inclination towards tradition or openness towards new experiences. Using that, we can see compare that with how one reacts, either with caution or curiosity, and thus extrapolate an ideological bent. This of course is the framework for liberalism and conservatism. TL:DR, the brain is AWESOME!

This one isn't accurate... In my case, the "orderly" and "organized" bits are a pile of shit, but white's where all the wholesome and decent people hang out- your angels, your paladins. Blue's the intelligent mind magicians. Of course I haven't played in ages, white and blue may now be comprised of douchebags and idiots.

Apparently I'm... Unoriginal and sheepish? Tell your quiz to go **** itself. As for the D&D quiz, I got Neutral Good/Human Rogue, 1st Level. Which is objectively the most powerful of all classes. Stats: Strength - 13 Dexterity - 15 Constitution - 13 Intelligence - 13 Wisdom - 17 Charisma - 13

Just because you're attuned to feelings of disgust doesn't mean at all that you're conservative-minded. Think of it like this: your biological disposition acts as a building block for what inclination in values and beliefs you might lean towards, but your life experiences (upbringing, community, peer group, etc.) and internal factors such as the accretion and collation of new information (i.e. how receptive you are to looking at the news or being persuaded by an argument) form the superstructure for what your ideology is. In the debate of nature vs. nurture, nurture is the predominant factor in determining how your value set grows and develops, whereas nature informs the basis for core principles. And of course, this is technically hypothetical; evidence definitely is increasingly suggesting that this hypothesis is indeed the case, but there is much research that has yet to be done. All this said, one scientific parable however: agreement is optional, but participation is mandatory

I am Red/ GreenI'm both instinctive and emotional. I value my own instincts and desires, and either ignore or crush anything that stands in my way; planning and foresight are unnecessary. At best, I'm determined and fierce; at worst, I'm headstrong and infantile. So the results in Magic The Gathering terms says I'd be Gruul. LOL, can't see myself that emotional but there's definitely a bit of Bulk smash in me.

According to the are you posh or not test I'm Middle Middle Class, fair enough that means I'm still hungry. Also since I'm from the United States, the vocabulary is off for determining "class" per se. (and yes I know what the higher class words mean etc I just chose based on what I'd commonly say, no cheating! lol) But whatever I'll take it.
For the D&D:
Neutral Good Elf Monk/Wizard (3rd/3rd Level)
Ability Scores: Strength- 10 Dexterity- 13 Constitution- 10 Intelligence- 16 Wisdom- 14 Charisma- 16
Alignment: Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do.
Race: Elves are known for their poetry, song, and magical arts, but when danger threatens they show great skill with weapons and strategy. Elves can live to be over 700 years old and, by human standards, are slow to make friends and enemies, and even slower to forget them. Elves are slim and stand 4.5 to 5.5 feet tall. They have no facial or body hair, prefer comfortable clothes, and possess unearthly grace. Many others races find them hauntingly beautiful.
Primary Class: Monks- Monks are versatile warriors skilled at fighting without weapons or armor. Good-aligned monks serve as protectors of the people, while evil monks make ideal spies and assassins. Though they don't cast spells, monks channel a subtle energy, called ki. This energy allows them to perform amazing feats, such as healing themselves, catching arrows in flight, and dodging blows with lightning speed. Their mundane and ki-based abilities grow with experience, granting them more power over themselves and their environment. Monks suffer unique penalties to their abilities if they wear armor, as doing so violates their rigid oath. A monk wearing armor loses their Wisdom and level based armor class bonuses, their movement speed, and their additional unarmed attacks per round.
Secondary Class: Wizards- Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.
Detailed Results:
Alignment: Lawful Good ----- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (20) Neutral Good ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (24) Chaotic Good ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (21) Lawful Neutral -- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (19) True Neutral ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (23) Chaotic Neutral - XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (20) Lawful Evil ----- XXXXXXXX (8) Neutral Evil ---- XXXXXXXXXXXX (12) Chaotic Evil ---- XXXXXXXXX (9)
Law & Chaos: Law ----- XXXXXX (6) Neutral - XXXXXXXXXX (10) Chaos --- XXXXXXX (7)
Good & Evil: Good ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (14) Neutral - XXXXXXXXXXXXX (13) Evil ---- XX (2)
Race: Human ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXX (13) Dwarf ---- XXXXXX (6) Elf ------ XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (14) Gnome ---- XXXXXX (6) Halfling - XXXXXXXX (8) Half-Elf - XXXXXXXXX (9) Half-Orc - XXXXXX (6)
Class: Barbarian - XXXXXXXX (8) Bard ------ XXXXXXXXXX (10) Cleric ---- XX (2) Druid ----- XXXXXXXXXX (10) Fighter --- XXXXXXXX (8) Monk ------ XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (14) Paladin --- XXXXXXXXXXXX (12) Ranger ---- XXXXXXXX (8) Rogue ----- XXXXXXXXXXXX (12) Sorcerer -- XXXXXXXXXXXX (12) Wizard ---- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (14)
That, interesting and short political test says my brain is Democrat, 53% and 47% Conservative.

My political test results: Democrat, Conservative 36%, Liberal 64%. These results check out with a test that I had to take in High School. Still, I personally don't give a fig about the political parties and think that their existence is a bad idea as it only causes division in Congress. My Magic results: My DND results: You Are A: True Neutral Human Druid/Rogue (2nd/1st Level) Ability Scores: Strength- 15 Dexterity- 13 Constitution- 13 Intelligence- 12 Wisdom- 11 Charisma- 10 Alignment: True Neutral- A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction. Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like. Primary Class: Druids- Druids gain power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. They hate the unnatural, including aberrations or undead, and destroy them where possible. Druids receive divine spells from nature, not the gods, and can gain an array of powers as they gain experience, including the ability to take the shapes of animals. The weapons and armor of a druid are restricted by their traditional oaths, not simply training. A druid's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast. Secondary Class: Rogues- Rogues have little in common with each other. While some - maybe even the majority - are stealthy thieves, many serve as scouts, spies, investigators, diplomats, and simple thugs. Rogues are versatile, adaptable, and skilled at getting what others don't want them to get. While not equal to a fighter in combat, a rogue knows how to hit where it hurts, and a sneak attack can dish out a lot of damage. Rogues also seem to have a sixth sense when it comes to avoiding danger. Experienced rogues develop nearly magical powers and skills as they master the arts of stealth, evasion, and sneak attacks. In addition, while not capable of casting spells on their own, a rogue can sometimes 'fake it' well enough to cast spells from scrolls, activate wands, and use just about any other magic item. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I feel that both are fairly accurate, though some of the DND questions didn't have answer choices that applied to me (like the alcohol tolerance one, I've never drank an excessive amount and have never been drunk before, therefore I don't know my tolerance). These were both neat quizzes though, thank you Draining.

You Are A: Lawful Neutral Elf Monk (2nd Level) Ability Scores: Strength- 11 Dexterity- 12 Constitution- 12 Intelligence- 16 Wisdom- 14 Charisma- 13 Alignment: Lawful Neutral- A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs him. Order and organization are paramount to him. He may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or he may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government. Lawful neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you are reliable and honorable without being a zealot. However, lawful neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all freedom, choice, and diversity in society. Race: Elves are known for their poetry, song, and magical arts, but when danger threatens they show great skill with weapons and strategy. Upper Middle Class
In the UK, you’d be upper-middle class. You’re from an affluent background, your parents are university educated and have respectable jobs. You went to one of the better private schools, a grammar school - or an “Outstanding” state (public) school in a nice area. You’re comfortable socialising with people from all backgrounds because you have the confidence that comes from a good education - it won’t be you mistakenly drinking from the finger bowls at dinner parties! You have friends with their own pools and horses, have been to university and are looking forward to a successful career in a fast-paced field.
