There isn't going to be any DLC or a next ME:A for that matter. EA has put the franchise on ice. Nope. That was tabloid journalism that one outlet (kotoku) reported mostly exaggerated based on normal changes that occur at the end of a development cycle. Everyone picked it up because they were too lazy to do their own work. Welcome to the world of shitty, lazy reporting. Not fact. Mostly fiction. Also, they changed their story three times because they are so freaking reliable. Ah, the good old, "it's only fake news if I don't like it". |

Kotoku if he/she/it was a trained and unbiased reporter would have simply reported the facts as they were. That people from montreal were moving onto other projects and that montreal was becoming support again. However, kotoku went beyond that with embellishments about what that meant which is not reporting. It is speculation. Wild speculation at that especially when what happened in montreal is normal for what happens in business cycles of a game with gaming companies. The fiction was everything kotoku imagined it meant. No place in reporting for that and it's exactly what has ruined journalism for a very long time. |

The 'on ice' comment was based on observable facts backed up with sources. These sources may well turn out to be incorrect but it's perfectly reasonable journalism. And nowhere does it say ME:A would be the death of the ME franchise. They specifically say it seems unlikely that EA/BioWare would let such a well loved series die. And criticising because they corrected their story seems like an odd reaction. Would you have preferred an incorrect version to remain online?
I'm not a particular fan of Kotaku but I fail to see what they've done wrong here. |

Off topic but did you know why that scene is campy? They acted the scene in slow motion to make it appear more realistic (they wanted to make the fighting look real with blows landing) but the editor didn't get the memo about speeding up the scene and it was broadcast as is. |

Off topic but did you know why that scene is campy? They acted the scene in slow motion to make it appear more realistic (they wanted to make the fighting look real with blows landing) but the editor didn't get the memo about speeding up the scene and it was broadcast as is. Ha! I assumed it was done like that to make the rock look heavy. That is pretty funny. I love old star trek. Shatner was totally hawt, imo!  |

The memo was supposed to reach an editor at either Desilu studios or Paramount, but the worst part is that CBS liked the scene. |

A game like MEA should be old stale hag by now. Yet every little thing still gets attention like crazy. As negative that attention may be, attention it is.
If "clickbait" is important in rambling on MEA's every move one wonders how many dedicated players the ME franchise has. Leaving ME fans in the cold by not responding officially by EA might be a sound strategy. I really wonder how many sales MEA "exactly" produced but as per usual we really will never know.
