The new lol Origin

It's not very impressive, is it?

I think I've narrowed down some of the new lag. My Origin was originally taking forever to load, then it was OK for a bit, but now it takes forever again, and when I pop the friends list out by itself in a new window, it takes forever to load that new window again. Well, since they removed the friends list cap, I've got more than 200 people on there now, and I was thinking maybe that had something to do with it, especially since some of the new lag goes away when I disable in-game and notifications. I fired up an old alt with no friends and sure enough the menus load a lot faster and there's less in-game lag. Weird since the old Origin had no problem with my new huge friends list. Anyway for now I've gotten rid of most of the new lag by disabling all in-game stuff, kind of inconvenient but no choice really. If anyone else is having lots of new in-game lag, and/or really slowly loading menus, try disabling all in-game stuff, including notifications. Hope that helps.

Yes, yes, same thing here. I thought I was hallucinating. Must admit, a had a few extra beers last night celebrating my completion of 100 enemies mod remake and was not thinking nor walking straight. But it is exactly the type of bs happened to me mid-game when I reattached the headphones and no sound came through until I restarted ME.

Ok, so I tried to turn off Origin in-game while actually "in-game", and that option was greyed out for me.

Am I a unique snowflake, or is this some bullshit I have to login to my Origin account on a browser for?

Edit: I have recently changed to Google DNS, and have noticed some minor improvements in lag, while also noticing more occasional weirdness. Anyone?

New update available FYI, 10.1.something, loads way faster than before, though my friends list is still having issues.

FYI I haven't had any new updates since the 10.1.x beta the other day, but everything is loading much faster, basically instantaneously, even the friends list. Anyone else having the same experience? Could be that whatever server issues were affecting them before are over with.

Hmm this is so weird. When I launched Origin at work, everything ran fine, no problems at all, but now that I'm home everything's taking ten minutes to do anything again. Obviously Origin is trying to tell me to play more games at work.
