It was actually me.

Seeing that I am the Official Mass Effect Loremaster Supreme it was very disheartening to EA (and Bioware) that I, wielding my considerable power, after convening with the Council of Loremasters, decided that ME:A was, in fact, NOT canon. Based on my verdict EA has decided to scrap any sequels based on the characters of ME:A entirely. It is therefore a one-off game that will be categorized into the new Mass Effect Legends continuity where it will join Femshep, non-biotic Shepard and non-Liara romances.

I will be working with Bioware in the future on a Milky Way based game in which the Leviathans will be the primary antagonists. It will be both a war story as well as a spy story full of plot twists and intrigue. Who is under Leviathan control? Which government officials? Which squadmates? Is the player character actually working for them? Who shot J.R.? Oh, the suspense!
