Venting Thread

Guess not all people are the same; all I can say is that if I distract myself and focus hard enough on interesting and important stuff I cease thinking about being a pathetic lonely loser. Find something fun and challenging to work on in your free time that requires all your attention and focus.

My condolences, thats a pretty natural reaction, only time can dull this kind of pain. 

I think you're ok, but keep in mind I have pathetic standards.

Damn, that's sad. Everyone needs at least 6 hours of video gaming and 3 hours of exercise every week to remain healthy and content in this era... (alternative to video games: watching a comedy episode a day)

2/3 of life is taken from us *coughfeminismcough*. At least the other 1/3 should not be pure torture.

Here we go:

It's my cousins 65th birthday today. I was looking at a gallery of photos of her over the years. She really has not aged at all. I'm not jealous, she is a lovely person. But why did she get the good genes and I did not?

There are just some things I will never understand, like the ability to be completely oblivious to advice based on facts, experience and common sense.

Of course, the situation was a tad more complicated in real business life, but basically it went like this:

Coworker: "I want pizza."
Me: "Sure thing! There's a place we've been working together with for a long time. Pizza is of good quality, delivery and payment modalities are aligned and they use local ingredients. It's been recommended by many people; the only thing is, it takes a little longer than usual."
Coworker: "I want pizza in 1 hour."
Me: "Sorry, it will take them at least 2 hours."
Coworker: "That's too long. I want it in 1 hour. I will order some place else."
Me: "Umm okay. Just please make sure to talk about delivery, payment and the origin of ingredients before you order."
Coworker: *blank stare*
My boss: "No really, check those things before ordering."
Coworker: *blank stare*
Everyone else with a shred of sanity left: "We're not kidding, CHECK THOSE THINGS, it's important!"
Coworker: "Chill out y'all, I got this."
*** 5 hours later ***
Coworker: "YOU ARE ALL SO INCOMPETENT! I ordered pizza at a place that only sells pasta, I already paid them, but I haven't received the pasta yet, I think they might have only used ingredients grown in Chernobyl, and by the way I hate pasta and still want pizza. NOW GO FIX THIS!"
