why u expect UR are aiming for 1 h per day ? You are not fucking Ultra Rare if you play 1h per day lol. Go Silver and Uncommon gear man. Why ppl puting no effort want to be as good as ppl putting 8h effort ? I think i`ll start same debate in my work today. Im fucking busy with games, i need to work 1h, and get full salarry as 8h worker, wtf is that grind in work.

How about you post the steam numbers instead of the misleading apex hq numbers that only count time spent on waves and not time between games, in lobbies, games crashed, etc? And since you admitted that you farm the same apex mission 20x in a night (lol) with a premade group this number is unrealistic for most people anyway and it would likely take 5-600+ hours only counting the apex app time for most people that play pugs. You are talking to a wall here. I mentioned this several times. Not to mention challenges. I completed all the gun challenges. Required a ton of bronze solos which are detrimental to credit raising Firstly, Apex HQ numbers are the most reliable there are. There are people who leave their games and open and go to sleep or stay several hours afk (I know some), others who of course have invested time in the campaign. Comparing that number is simply unrealistic. Apex HQ is the purest, the most uniform number we can get. In ME3 people used N7HQ played time as the standard for that very reason. I don't know why people are reluctant to use Apex HQ values here. Now as for time invested to get a maxed manifest, it is all a matter of focus. When I started playing MEA, firstly I want to learn the game and then make it as efficient as possible. Maxing a manifest was one of my goals from the beginning, I actually made a thread about it 11 days before the game even came out. Some people have different goals, want to complete their masteries and all that. One of my buddies has maxed challenge points, has got higher apex points than me and still missing like 40-50 UR. That is because his goal was different and he invested time doing different stuff. He got higher on the Leaderboards, but has also got less URs. My goal was to max my manifest, and a player with that in mind shouldn't be playing Bronze to grind challenges. He/She shouldn't be playing regular Gold runs either when there are repeatable Apex missions that pay more per match. A regular pug most likely won't max manifest in under 500 hours (if ever). But a focused and committed player who works towards that goal, well, he might.

This game isn't enjoyable enough to put forth the effort to max my manifest, took basically a whole month just for me to go from APEX 4000 or so to APEX 4500. Been playing Sniper Elite 4, Paladins and The Surge lately with the occasional Fallout 4 if I get really bored (can always find something to do in Fallout, usually involving messing with new mods)

About the work grind.
Look, we all know that shit is shit.
They really need to nerf hours and buff pay. I def would support a Patch to nerf hours and buff pay, plus a little de-buff to management's SitAware would be too bad, given that the AI is far from I anyway.

Only if MEAMP had more contents... something at least live up to ME3MP and its DLCs...

it really starts to be a long grinding when you maxed out commom & uncommon, I guess I was around APEX 4000, thought not really shure. After that, the Rare ones takes lots of time. Maxing Rare characters was done pretty fast but all guns & mods take real long. Hell, I've just unlocked my last UR character yesterday(Asari Duelist) and I still miss half the UR guns, most of them are level 1, except my Angara Avenger at level VI, and I'm about to hit APEX level 11000.

First of all – well done and my congrats. To answer your question I’m still missing 67 URs but didn’t collect exclusively with in game earned credits but also spent some real money. But I see light at the end of the tunnel now…
Still dedicated way of my life time to the game already but predominantly as I consider it being a lot of fun (I like the Punchinello-like colored characters – I would also going kill them would I be a foe). What anyway should be the prime motivation.
With regards to the calculations/assumptions I’m more on the side of killabkilledb. ~400-500 hours to max out everything is most likely very optimistic and only achievable for a very dedicated and focused player like you, hence more describing an ideal/optimal scenario. I did the math myself and here is what I come up with.
My simplified assumptions are • Bronze: 10.000 Credits / Silver: 27.500 Credits / Gold: 55.000 Credits • No credits “eaten” for replenishing your consumables • Mission duration for Bronze: 10’ / Silver: 15’ / Gold (Slow): 20’ / Gold (Fast): 12’ • No time required for sitting/waiting in lobbies, changing your characters/weapons/boosters etc. • Every base/bronze pack gives you 2 bronze/common cards until maxed out • Every advanced/silver pack gives you 2 silver/special cards until maxed out • Etc. expert/gold = 2x gold/rare cards • Premium/platinum = 0.2 platinum/ultra rare cards
Number of cards currently are • 54 Weapons (5 Bronze/10 Silver/25 Gold/14 Platinum) • 29 Characters currently (12 Bronze/6 Silver/6 Gold/5 Platinum) • 36 Characters likely as slots are available hence +2 Silver/+2 Gold/+3 Platinum; my calculation was done with these hypothetical 36 Character cards • 20 Mods (8 Bronze/7 Silver/5 Gold) • 4 Consumable Upgrade Cards to get from 2x consumables to 5x consumables • 5 Bronze weapons and 12 Bronze characters are available at the beginning at rank I, hence you need 17 less in total Calculation • 1.100 Cards in total (250 Bronze/250 Silver/360 Gold/220 Platinum), 1.083 of which you need to earn • In total this requires 1.532 packs (117 Bronze/125 Silver/190 Gold/1.100 Platinum) OR • 122,6m Credits (582.500 for Bronze packs/2.500.000 for Silver/9.500.000 for Gold/110.000.000 for Platinum) • If you played only Bronze it would take you 12.258 games or 2.452 hours • Silver = 4.458 games/1.114 hours • Gold (Slow) = 2.229 games/735 hours • Gold (Fast) = 2.229 games/446 hours Hence for gold farming exclusively you can assume it will take you between 450 (optimistic) to 750 hours (conservative) in total, average ~600 hours.
Bottom line: if you consider most people are dedicating 8-9 hours daily to work 5 days a week and you work 46 weeks a year (assuming 6 weeks vacation/holidays whatsoever), 600 hours correspond to ~30% of a full working year! Dedicated in your off time on top of your job to a game. Are we nuts??? I think I should stop playing now…

Actual time spent will always be higher. -The chance of getting an UR was 0.12 in expert packs before the 1.07 nerf, and premiums always and still give around a 0.23 to 0.24. In other words, the cost of maxing UR's with either pre-1.07 expert or the current premium packs is around 93-96M credits. -There is absolutely no reason to indicate a price for the rares separately. Are you implying that in the process of maxing rares people get zero UR's. Delete the credits for rare from your calculation entirely. -Pre-1.07 it was entirely viable to skip advanced packs and just get the uncommons from experts packs "accidently" while max your rares/getting UR's. So if you got your rare's maxed prepatch 1.07, plus a few more packs, you didn't have to spend credits on advanced. Since this is no longer true, I would say leave the uncommons cost in. But keep in mind that some people made that 2.5M credit shortcut.

auronio I Just checked apex hq and i've similarly unlocked 55% of the Ultra-Rare weapon upgrades in about 300hrs so your math seems on the money. Seems like it takes about a month of in-game time. I think it can be done comfortably in about 4 months, but any sooner than that is pretty unbearable to borderline full-time job territory.

Holy Drop Rate, Batman?! I just logged in and decided to spend 3.5m. The result? I was getting 1 UR for every 3-4 Premiums opened and pretty well (aside from Katana S V) maxed my new weapons (all X). A few more games and I'll have that shiny new Katana S X - or as the App says "No Data X" Edit - small typo I wonder if they adjusted the drop rate without telling us. Perhaps to make up for the S-weapons or maybe because the Play to Give cause is about "Celebrate EA Giving Back" (my browser tab name shows that when I visit the page) and on the relevant section of their web page they state they're "partnering... -/- ...to give back to our player communities". Maybe that's a naively positive thought of me or perhaps I just need more coffee this early on a Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised, however, if that drop rate were gone come June 5th...

Why in the hell does it take 15 minutes to do a gold match? You need to get a better squad. Even playing with pugs my missions average out at 11-13. With a solid group I happened to be the "pug" in the games averaged 10-11. And they instantly put on equipment and switched characters in lobby to the point it felt like I was waiting on map loads and the dam shuttle cutscene more than playing the game.

Honestly this time around the game seems more about maximizing bonus stats than unlocking weapons. Played ME3MP for about a year at 5-7 SOLID hours a day and didn't max out URs. This go around I already have 1 at X and 6 level V or more and I'am restricted to 14 hours a week tops. I stopped looking to max out UR as a mission and just blow things away with Dahn till my bonus stats max out.
