One of my cats is generally a lot more standoffish with me than the other one, so every time he comes to sit in my lap voluntarily, I am automatically reminded of all those stories about people's pets detecting sickness and assume I must be riddled with cancer.

Random fact: I'm much better in online shooter games when I'm tired and have low energy. What happens when I'm energetic and motivated is I go in guns blazing and go berserk in a very incautious and overconfident way. I do get lots of awesome kills but I get often killed as well.
When I'm tired I'm losing 2/3 of 1 on 1 duels so I try to make up for my bad aim and slow reaction time with tactics, sneaking and waiting for opportunities. And no matter which game I play, this approach always results in a better kill/death ratio. There is an important life lesson in there: speed and strength is no match for guile and wits.

I was once in a bank during an armed robbery. The robbers had clearly learned bank robbery from Hollywood -- three idiots in balaclavas waving guns around, shouting orders to get down on the ground!, one guy held a gun to an older man's head while another had a teller stuffing money in a bag and the third kept an eye on everyone else... Then as they exited, Bad Guy #1, either to show the gun was really loaded or perhaps in a wrong-headed attempt to destroy video evidence, shot the TV monitor mounted on the wall. From what I recall, they caught the guys a week or two later, getting ready to rob another bank.

I just re-installed an amazing old game called freelancer. Just played the campaign to pittsburg, and my god I forgot how much I enjoyed this game. This is the first game I ever purchased with my own money. And to this day, I say its worth the 40 bucks I paid for it. I still have the box, the jewel case, and the manual for it too. My version, is the game before any patches were made for it. for you yougn's that have no idea what I'm talking about, this is the wikipedia article on it. Ask anyone who's played it, and they will all tell you its one of the best fighter space games ever made. Edit: One of the most complete mods ever made for it. Discovery was recently updated, and the modders (last I checked) are still working on it.

Being part of the OLD element on this forum my father and most uncles participated in some fashion in WW2.
Father - Aero engine mechanic - RCAF - Posted in england, if I recall he worked mostly on Lancaster Bombers. Uncle - Prison guard - Posted mostly in home province of Alberta. Uncle - Canadian Infantry - Wounded, posted mostly in Italy, PTSD for most of the rest of his life. Uncle - Canadian Infantry - Posted various places, stayed with military after the war posted in the far north could speak Russian. Uncle - Canadian tank brigade - Killed in action on the D-Day landing, I think he was in one of the tanks that sunk while trying to land. Uncle - RCAF navigator for a bomber - Killed in action over the Mediterranean. Mothers 1st husband - Tail gunner on a bomber, killed in action over Germany.
The last two were listed as missing in action one day after the other. As in the family was informed that the husband was missing one day and the brother the next.

Mmh, let's see. Another important random thing about me. Didn't know more than a few english words when I came on the BSN, lurked first for a while. ( Now I am a bit better, I learned alone ) Could barely say one or two sentences with very few words at th very beginning. I was the typical french who was allergic to english. The first posts from bsners I've seen the first day while i was talking about Ashley were mocking my posts and my bad english which was indeed pathetic. They made absolutely no sense to be honest LMAO. While it was a bit crual, I never blamed them for mocking me. It was my " welcome on the bsn mate, hahaha, look at this idiot ! " Let's say that the first day, I really wondered if I shouldn't go back to lurking instead of trying to talk with people who could hardly understand one word of what I say, thinking I was really being ridiculous ! Well, I was hurt and furious, but after, I relaxed and went on with a strong will. I didn't give up. Now, there is an improvement, people can understand me even if i'm still bad with my english lol. i kept coming on the bsn, also because it was a good way to keep learning silently this foreign language while around me, nobody speaks english. except my sisters. But with my friends, nope, they all suck. ( When we went in London, it was mostly me who talked, others couldn't do it lol ) Though, honestly, it's often frustrating, i admit. I'm not always able to say what I want to say, and most of my points are forced to be simple, while my thoughts are really much more developped. ( I'm very confident in my own language ) There are many debates i would like to participate, but I can't, because the language is an issue and a barrier, it becomes to complicated. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people do not always understand what I say in my posts, but they are nice enough not to tell me, even if I'm arguing against their post. The BSN after a few years really helped me to improve my english, more than anything else to be honest.

I thoroughly enjoy category 1-3 hurricanes (so long as I don't lose power for too long). No sounds of human activity, just a symphony of wind and rain; the occasional crack of a tree and the boom that follows when it falls upon the earth. Lightening cracking the sky that looks as though it's bright and sunny for just a split second before you're plunged back into the darkness. Serene af.

I absolutely, positively HATE being hot. Which is weird because I've lived in North Texas all my life so I actually should be used to it by now. But in reality, I'd fit better in the Northern U.S.

I only know my parents phone number and police one.. I was never able to memories any more of them. Also with names i always have problems with remembering names of new people, unless i know someone with same name already. This is basically me... It takes me forever to remember my home phone number and my own cell number whenever I get a new one Also, I really suck with names, unless your name actually looks like it "fits" you perfectly

If I ride the roller coaster or get the feeling of falling from a high place, I get these extreme butterflies in my stomach, I think that's what it's called to describe it. It feels like I can't breathe and at the same time like I'm being tickled but it's a very uncomfortable feeling.

My sexuality has recently come into question. I've been attracted to women all my life, but I've had 2 instances where I've found a male attractive. One in November of last year, and one 2 weeks ago. I'm currently working through it, trying to figure out where I stand in my sexuality. My friend and his fiance (who are also gay), gave me some good advice and a place to start looking. So I'm planning on following their advice, and trying to go from there. Hows that for random? Stephen Fry ( that one) considered asking out the woman who went on to marry Rowan Atkinson. He describes himself as "only" 90% gay. People are what they are, don't worry about it Oh, one about me: lost my virginity to a woman almost twice my age when I was 16. ...wait, is that random or overshare?
