Finally got around to fixing the picture in the original post. Once I get all my photos moved off photobucket I may get to post more of them. But that could take some time since I had been putting my pictures there for close to 6 - 7 yrs. I hate photobucket.

Anyways, my daughter is ramping up with band camp/practice/parades and getting ready to go back to school, hopefully after that I can get in an OT run and some more Kaidan

Also, how come the character threads aren't pinned like they are in the MEA section?

I love when Kaidan is a top...erm when the thread is at the top.  No actually I mostly meant the first thing really. 

That works for me too dmc1001. I feel like strictly from a game perspective that allows everyone to have it their way.

I always felt like he was a really well written character myself.  But I guess I could be biased   And I felt that some people just didn't give him a chance because ...CARTH! 

I loved Ashley in ME and it took me an actual hour to finally push the button to leave her behind....but I had to.....because Kaidan!   I feel like he sees a lot of growth over the 3 games and I agree that gameplay wise he is very strong.

That's the thing, he is well written. He's just not a typical dudebro like Garrus and I think that's why people don't instantly connect with him. He's shy, he's nervous, he's respectful, but at the same time he holds on to his ideals. And many just write him off as boring. And I really like in ME3 that he breaks out of his shell and he talks more to people. You can see him talking to James, Adams, Liara, etc. Its different from him being reserved in ME1. And many of his scenes work great regardless of if you've romanced him or not. I've never done the maleshep romance with him because I'm not gay, but he comes off as a good friend to broshep. Where as Ashley sadly feels like she's just there if you don't romance her.

I originally didn't like Ashley, but she grew on me. And I'd even go as far as to say her romance has great synergy with Male Shepard. But I feel so bad letting such a nice guy like Kaidan die on Virmire just so I can has Ashley.   I wish I could leave Liara instead and keep both of them alive. Then again, I might be one of five people who likes both Ashley and Kaidan a lot.

I also love that I can play any class in ME3 and Kaidan compliments it well. He's definitely my favorite squadmate next to Javik. I'm playing as a Sentinel right now and all I can say is... pure destruction everywhere we go. 

And hi there. I am fairly new to this site and the series in general. I started it very late. But nice to make your acquaintance.

I really like his dynamics with the male Shepard (hetero, without sexual tension) who is renegade.
Just as I like the dynamics of Garrus with the Shepard paragon.

I like the counterpoint that this two duals make.

No, I meant "I see that others hate him".  I don't get why.  Not at all.  I've said it before: If that's boring, I'll happily be bored for the rest of my life.  Strong, confident, heroic, loyal...not seeing the down side.  Also doesn't make snarky comments to Shepard.  Yeah, I'd manage with such a boring person.

I don't hate Liara and don't especially want her dead, but I'd love the option.  Just to play through and see how it would be minus her and plus K+S.
