Given they removed points for Ascendant's orb and Decoy clones, it seems they don't want any theoretically infinite source of points in the game, regardless of how slow those points would be to acquire in practice.





Currently, 'Random' when joining acts like 'Any' and finds the first available match with any settings, which in practice is heavily weighted towards an Apex or Outlaw/Zero.
Combined with no cooldown for re-joining the exact same lobby after you leave, it makes trying to join a lobby that's set to 'Random/Random' very frustrating.
You can host yourself, but because everyone else has to use the same broken search mechanic, your unsearchable and low priority solo lobby usually takes half an hour to fill.

How it *should* work in most opinions, is it should join a lobby set to 'Random' - Thus would act as 'Unknown'.
There could then be an additional 'Any' which acts as the 'Random' option does now when joining.



For extra fun, it'd be nice to have an additional 'Random, no repeats' option for hosting to prevent the same map/enemy combination repeating, but not holding out hope for that one.


The devs stated that the reason there is no Random/Random bonus is because they tried it and people would search for random, join a specific lobby instead of a random lobby, and not get the bonus they were expecting.
So instead of fixing the search filters to make sense, they cut the bonus before release.



In question format:

'Can the 'Random' matchmaking filter be changed to search specifically for lobbies set to 'Random'?  Currently, 'Random' acts unintuitively like 'Any' which severely limits joining options (Heavily weighted towards apex and outlaw/zero instead of being varied) and precludes easy reinstatement of Random/Random lobby bonuses'

I'd like to believe that they finally made the featured Apex Mission on Gold difficulty, but I know better than that.

If they do they should bring Karen Weeks back in to play it.
