Asari. Not the 3rd but the top race. Humans will be dead in a few hundred years, same as turians, salarians and quarians. Krogans may be around for longer, but like in Milky way they are under the effect of genophage. The math is simple, the number of lesser races is just not high enaugh to sustain and ensure population growth. As for asari, only one is needed to get the party started The minimum number to sustain a stable population is about 160. Given that there are about 30.000 humans in Andromeda, I don't see a problem.

Im pretty sure John Moore never met a berserking krogan in a mating frenzy or Ryder that can cut down human population by 1k in 70 hours. But i do love when games get the scientific treatment they deserve

But i do love when games get the scientific treatment they deserve Maybe not but since the population estimates are well over 200 times the required minimum, I'll opt mine with a predictable margin of error. Therefore, your assumptions are the ones that are out of bounds, not mine.
