RE: Aelus Lavellan

I figured how to take screenshots. [studio audience laughter]

Current status on Aelus is, I finished the game + trespasser, took a short break, and am now replaying with the same character because I love him half to death and I have no self-control.

Changed his name from Aelus to just Ellas, since, based on some research into the elvhen language, I basically named him "hopeless" the first time. (Which is pretty good in its own right tbh)

SO!!! First just two screenshots of Original Flavor Ellas, at the end of the game and the beginning of Trespasser.


Now he is Ellas, and since I discovered the wonderful world of mods, he has a properly muscular chest and Dalish armor! Woohoo!!! Didn't change much (if anything) about his face other than his complexion. He will also be romancing Dorian, again, because I love Dorian more than I can express and so does he.

I also made him some custom icons. I'm far from satisfied with them but I'm also really done wrestling with them for now so... yea. These versions are (obvs) much bigger / more detailed than the ones I'm putting in game.

Me too on both counts! Although it was years ago and I barely remember...

Wow, those are great! I've sort of seen some PC players with custom portraits, but never up close. I'm jealous I wish I:

1. Had the skill to draw some (although I suppose I could use my avatar image)
2. Had a PC I could use them on

How close do you sit to that? My eyes are about 30"/75cm from my monitor screen and I think I'd be a bit overwhelmed by a 78" screen that close.

Still, very jealous.

When I played yesterday I sat about 2,5 m away. If I sit in my sofa (as I usually do when I watch TV) Im about 3,5 m away.

I just plugged my laptop to my TV. Realised that my TV's refreshrate is capped at 30 in gamemode (and thus 30 fps). Maybe I can tweak it somehow. The refreshrate is 60 in pc-mode, but the input lag is apparently higher. Havent tried this mode yet. I was thinking of getting a new rig with the titan xp gpu, but If Im capped at 30 fps the 1080 is probably enough (as it is now I only get 15-17 fps in fallout 4 on high, so that is not even playable). 

*edit: problem with getting a big screen is that it is hard to ever go back. Counting on this TV to last me a decade, cause it wasn't cheap (even though I got it half off on black friday last year).
