When I play a female elf, I stick with the first option that comes up, its the prettiest. Things I change are hair color/style, eye color and tattoos and scars. Otherwise I don't mess with the lips, ears, complexion, etc.
Like you (and those others I know) used the 1st option but I changed a lot. Then about two hours later she was done. I am going to assume a female Qunari is just as difficult (if you choose to do lots of changes) perhaps more.
And now you got my brain working on over-drive since you said, your elf is a pyromaniac. I am trying to recall a movie or a cartoon or something where a person was also obsessed with fire and was well crazy. Not Pyro either. BAH! I'll figure it out.....eventually. 
Anyways your elf is a cutie.

DAI is one of those games where I spend a lot of time getting my character right. The eyes have to be the right color. The tats have to be the right color. Those two have to be perfect if I go the way of having them be the same color. Just wished they had better hair style options. Xena's nemesis, Callisto, had a thing for fire. |

This is kinda my third inquisitor...
I havent finished DA2 yet (started third Act) but I decided to kinda skip ahead because I wanted to see what the graphics were like ( ) and ive played a little of DAI now 
My first Inquisitor was... well... she had purple tattoos and purple and green eyes and was some kind of multicolored monstrosity... that was a female elf rogue and I stopped before finishing the tutorial
Then I made a human warrior but I was like ewwwww no because the greatswords were just stupidly big... so I also quit before finishing the tutorial 
So yup shes my third an female elf rogue generally pretty pleased with her I managed to get rid of the tattoos through clever color manipulation

I was supposed to play through Lucifer, but I don't like playing mages. Actually they are fine, but the story I was setting out for him just... wasn't exhilarating me anymore. It's hard to RP a total dickbag. So I deleted him. I'm sorry Lucifer, you looked dope but... bye.. On the other hand, here's Eljas. He is trouble. And fun. And he looks like a completely different person depending on the angle and lighting.
I'm starting to feel like half of the posts in this thread are mine.
But I assure you, most of my submissions don't go past Hinterlands.

That's right... it's MY house...  My DAI Hawke - I might have actually finished playing DAI had I been able to use Hawke the whole time  I never played this elf, she just didn't look like she was ready for the world...  I made a Qunari but didn't get very far either  Thanks for looking! |
