Post pictures of your inquisitor here! v.2

This is Beatrix Adaar. Her parents named her after the then Divine. They had high hopes for her to assimilate into Andrastian society, at least a little. Heh.

Beatrix loves the thrill of battle and wields a maul to crush her enemies. She keeps questions to a minimum, is quick to action, and has very little patience for "pointless" theorizing or what she'd call "living too much in the mind". She dislikes magic, individual mages must prove themselves to her, and she will never trust mages as a group. She's not overly moralistic, but she abhors senseless cruelty, especially when directed at children; she greatly enjoyed her work with the Valo-kas, hunting down and killing slavers, bandits, and callous nobles. She's areligious, she doesn't think about spiritual matters and doesn't care to; coin and camaraderie are what she believes in. She's a genius on the battlefield, but in the big picture, she really needs someone to direct her where to hit things. She's going to find that leading the Inquisition is quite different from leading in the field of battle.

She's unlike characters I usually play in key ways, and it's been really interesting experiencing the story through these very different eyes. Especially in her chilly relationship with Solas (my canon Inquisitor is a Solasmancer). 

Oh, and while she kind of doesn't want to, Beatrix is really crushing on Sera right now.

You totally can be! I've gotten better over the years. I always start by asking myself a question. With my Adaar it was "What kind of character do you want to play?" With my Lavellan it was "What happened to her in her past that gave her this outlook?" You can also try character prompts, those can be real helpful if you get stuck. Or you can brainstorm with a friend. I brainstormed my Lavellan with my husband, 'cause I was really stuck on one part of her character. 

A little bit of both actually! I have a template to start out with, but I typically learn the most about my character as I play them, which is why I play my favorite characters at least twice. The more I play them the better the experience! 

Maybe when DA4 is announced we can have a character prompt thread!

Since it's a new thread, I don't have to feel guilty, so have a few screenshots of Fjalar Cadash, nerd extraordinaire, majestic rogue, who also happens to be my canon Inquisitor. People are still wondering how he actually managed to win Cassandra Pentaghast's heart, a mystery for the ages.

I just want to say that seeing everyone's quizzys puts mine to shame lol! I'm so amazed how you all can make gorgeous and realistic looking characters. I'm in a serious need to up my game. This forum is such an inspiration :-)
