I, for one, think the characters and the genders they chose for them are pretty cool.
Still, I usually don't pick the kits based on their gender anyway, I'm looking more for interesting power combinations, so...

Yesterday I bought some Haribo gummi stuff. Sadly, they don't have the sour variant of my favourites in store anymore.

It's actually quite evenly distributed. There are 30 characters in all, 15 male vs 15 female. For bronze and silver chars it's still balanced. The only unbalanced distribution can be found in rares and ultra-rares. There are 4 male rares vs 2 female rares, while it's opposite for ultra-rares. 2 vs 4.
Regarding races it's also somehow balanced. There are 4 Asari, all female. 3 Salarians, all male. Turian and Angara have both 2 male and one female char. Human has the Kinetist besides the vanilla chars, so it's 6 male vs 7 female. Last but not least Krogans are no longer a patriarchal dominated race. They obviously introduced gender equality through the long journey to Andromeda. 2 male vs 2 female chars.

It's, actually, worse, than a drug - it's an aggressive ideology leading to aggressive minorities' tyranny, the rule of inferior .... 

Why would anybody with a bit of common sense want to be ruled by an inferior?
Just look at Merkel and Putin for example. One is a strong political leader with the ability to defend his views. The other one is the daughter of a small village priest who got poisoned with socialist views so she changes her views to please whoever needs pleasing.

Now guess which kind of person is fitter to rule a country.
