I have about eight or nine play throughs. One is a male human/Dorianmancer and the rest are female elves, one of which is for Cullen and the rest Solas.

Qunari, by far.
Humans come second.
I am not a big fan of the other two races.

Uhhh I like to play with Qunaris. The Josephine Qunari Romance is like the Beauty and the Beast. It looks interesting when the bull is lifting the 'small' body of the Qunari Inquisitor. XD Lets see. Qunari 3 two mages and in my latest playthrough a warrior Humen 4 mages 2 rouges 2 warriors Elfes 1 Mage Dwarfes started with a rouge, he has never left the Hinterlands since spring 2015 Dwarfes are boring Only with the Elfen Mage, one human Mage and my First DAI Inquisitor ever a Qunari Mage as Knight Enchanter finished Trespasser. Ohh and they are all males.

I went human first play through, an elf second time through and then stuck with humanity after that. I aborted my attempts with Qunari and a dwarf because by the time I reached the temple of sacred ashes I'd normally decided I really didn't like the face I had made! I couldn't get along with the character creator at all

Elves, Elves, and more Elves. I tried playing a human Amell and Cousland in DA:,O but never completed those runs. My first completion of the game was with Surana and I fell in love with Surana and playing elves in general. I want to play a dwarf, at least for DA:O but being a mage is to much fun in that game. And DA:I feels to much elf central to really play any other race.

Really hope we can finally have body-sliders in the next game to avoid all of that at once. For those curious, this is the closest character I have to my body-type:
Apparently I feel like writing a lot today That's good, though, I think; I haven't lately I agree. I find humans easier to create in the cc, hence why I have so many characters. Dwarves are not bad and Elves are a bit of a challenge. I had to remake both of my Elven lady Inquisitors more than once before I was satisfied with their looks. As for body types, I wish there was a way to alter them. Not just physique, but height as well. Just wondering, which game is that screen cap from? Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning? I romanced Cullen with a Mage Inquisitor twice and it was interesting to hear the extra dialogue. My Elven lady Necromancer, who romanced him last time was fun. I imagined Cullen's family were a bit spooked that his not so girl next door type girlfriend liked to hang out with ghosts and corpses However, I like pairing him with a Rogue. My Assassin was the only one who married him. Reason being there's something daring in being with a woman, who's confident, cheeky, cunning and doesn't play fair in a fight. Plus she can get General Uptight to blush quite easily and top him in bed every time It would definitely be nice to be able to change height (as you can in some games), but I didn't mention it because I don't expect it from any Bioware game. Sadly, I'm not hopeful at all about any kind of body-customization even though I've talked at length about its advantages, but I'm sure they won't have any height customization because of the camera angles that are being discussed in this thread. It would be "too much work" for them Ah, no, it's from D&D: Neverwinter. The MMO, not Bioware's Neverwinter Nights Never played KoA:R. It has the best customization (in terms of number of options to tweak) I've encountered. I mean, you can change height, build, the size of your butt, the size of your feet and everything in between Certainly. Haha, yeah, that would probably creep them out, especially with silly Blackwall thinking a necromancer, well, romances corpses About the bolded: Oh my Sometimes most of the time I feel like I'm the only one who likes Sumalee more It's okay, I'm usually the odd one out. I liked Alix fine as Traynor, but not as the Inquisitor for some reason. I think all Inquisitors were more dull than they could have been at first, and I know they're capable, so I blame VO direction. I'm glad they improved in JoH and Trespasser though! I especially liked Sumalee in Cullen's romance and Trespasser.
I like her better too. I use Alix for my female elves and Sumalee for everyone else. I accidentally picked Alix's voice (or it glitched) with my dwarf and I had to remake her (this was before BE) because she just sounded wrong. I also can't use Alix in a game I have female Hawke because their voices sound identical to me. That was the set up I had in my first PT and I had no idea who was saying what during that mission.
I'm not the only one! Yeah, Alix and Jo do sound similar, especially given they have the same accent. Andraste's [redacted], I didn't recognize you, Andraste! I primarily identify posters by avatar Heh. Sorry for any confusion caused, I decided that a new forum deserved a new avatar! (It's actually the same dwarf I'd been using since late 2014; just a portrait shot instead of her riding a majestic nuggalope through the Hissing Wastes.) It's no problem, I just thought it was funny that I didn't know who was posting until after I read your post. And I can't really complain anyway, since I also changed my avatar for the new forum. Great minds and all that Sumalee does a decent job on some lines but the accent threw me for a loop. I did a double take when I heard it was meant to be an American accent. She does fit an Inquisitor with a hardened, cynical personality. Sometimes, it's much more fitting than Alix's lighter, more lilted words. Wait, you thought her accent was weird?! ...Why? I've never heard that before. She sounds like an average North American. Aside from a few words, she sounds just like me or Shepard. Funny, I liked Sumalee's more playful lines. That's subjective opinion for you I think I played human the most. But I also played other races. I really enjoyed playing dwarves and I would play them a lot more if not for screwed up camera angles Dem camra angls tho. That's actually Trevelyan, though I have a hard time not playing elves in DAI. In the early game, I really want to play a human true-believer; a nobleman who can comfortably move in the same circles as Cassandra, Vivienne, Josie, etc... Then I start thinking of the 80% of the game that revolves around elvhen ruins and culture.
I kind of got around that by turning my male Templar Trevelyan into an amateur historian on all things elfy.
Yes, I like my characters to be as scholarly as possible! Multiclass. Be smart, knowledgeable, and dangerous And funny if possible.

BansheeOwnage really? I find Alix's voice an octave lower than Jo's. She's got that "chesty" thing going on while voicing the Inquisitor. Jo's voice is a bit lighter and airy.

Well, no, not really Your descriptions are actually perfectly what I was thinking in my head, but I was rushing when I wrote that post and settled on saying they were "similar". I do think they're similar (in broad strokes) as voices go, while also completely agreeing that you can tell them apart based on the things you said Problem is everyone has different opinions on how similar "similar" is But it's cleared up now, so that's good.

I think it's because I started off with Alix's voice, BansheeOwnage, so the contrast may have affected how I heard the voice. I like Sumalee's voice, it was just fascinating to listen to.

I've never shared my opinion before, since I hate to piss on the fun of others, but I don't like Harry Hadden-Paton as the Inquisitor. He does not sound like a male lead to me. It's not his work, it's his voice. It's not the voice of a lead character, in my opinion. It's a bit weasely, at times, for lack of a better description.
I make it work for my male elf by tellingmyself that his voice is what you get when a Dalish elf gets very comfortable speaking as a Free Marcher human. I pretend that the accent lies somewhere between Dalish and Free Marcher.
I'm hoping that constant exposure will render me less annoyed by the time I try, once more, to play a human nobleman as my next Inquisitor. I really want to play that male Trevelyan, finally, but HHP's weasely voice grates my nerves. I could try the deeper, NA voice, but it doesn't fit the image I have in my head. I'll definitely be using that voice for my Qunari and dwarf, whenever they happen.

For myself, Humans and Elves are tied in each of the 2 games you had options: DA:O and DA:I. I've played each Dwarf origin in DA:O, and I have a Dwarf planned for DA:I (my Sera romance!), but that number comes nowhere close to my Humans & Elves. I don't know if I'll play a Qunari, despite wanting to, as I'm never comfortable playing large/tall races.

I must actually finish off the DLCs with my circle mage, she has yet to experience that shotgun wedding.

qunari are my main race for some reason. Probably because I am very short and being a gigantic person is a nice fantasy. Although next game really needs better cut scenes. I like the very different races. Dwarfs are my second most played and those two are the worst for cut scens and need better armor. Then elves then humans
