And I'll also suggest that Incognito's claims of nobility could lead to the assumption that they are a human woman. Gervaise says Ellas is tall for an elf, but a human male might be too beefy and big for an elf to pass as. Unless human sizes still vary like they do in our world, which is something I've wondered about.

I had some time tonight after all, so I went ahead and posted!

Anyway I'm having internet problems at the moment so don't expect a post from me until later today. It's going to be two posts!

If you'll take a suggestion, I think you should do a small collab if gervaise21 and heathenoxman are on board.

The way Gervaise has it written, Incognito waits outside of the room the Teyrn is in, presumably in this time Jon's man is informing the Teyrn of the applicant waiting outside. When Incognito comes in, Jon's announcer reads off of a slip of paper that Incognito had written on, introducing him. I think you should write Jon's reaction and see if Gervaise has anything to add that Incognito will do.

Then, another man can come in saying another applicant arrived if Heathenoxman wants to be involved at this point. Jon can ask his questions to Ozek, she (per Heathenoxman) can reply and then it can look like everything is wrapping up before one of Jon's men mentions the bard in question has been apprehended. Cue the bard part. And done.

I'll keep the post up for now and will edit it after they put their inputs in the PM. For now I'm going to work on Cyrus.

I think it would be pretty amusing for the reveal if most characters were expecting a human woman only to get a male elf

Made edits to the Jon post with gervaise21 input and may add more. I also added a part where Jon thinks Elias is female.

Due to unforeseen, though perhaps heavily foreshadowed, cirumstances, I will officially be departing this role-play for calmer waters.

If any participant wishes me to write a story reason for Rhian's sudden absence (though she had yet to interact with any of the characters) I will do so. Most likely she will decide the danger isn't worth the reward.

Smilesja invited me, but it was you who got me enthusiastic about role-playing. Your introduction to The Nature of Conflict made me narrow my eyes in determination to not be out down. How successful I was, I don't know, but the challenge of trying to keep up with a proficient writer is a good one. I'm sorry Rhian will never get to slap her palm to her forehead in realization of Incognito's identity. Ideas like that are never really lost, though, just put away for a rainy day.
