How much needs to be vetted by the thread leader? Not that my first time around I won't harass you with all thoughts.

If your NPC is just there ot get you to the story, you can do anything you like.

For instance in another site, my Crow character talked to an NPC Crow contact that had nothing to do with the actual story. I didnt ask first, and the NPC will stay in the background until needed again. That said, the thread starter was willing to bring the NPC in if needed.

now, if the thread starter had introduced an NPC that my character came along and killed, then I'd have to change it because maybe the other poster had plans for that character.

The thread starter plays by the same rules by the way. They could tell you your plot point doesnt fit their idea of the story, but they can't tell you how to play your character or your NPC, as long as there is no conflict.

Go ahead with the Dwarven contact. I think Kailyn entrance is very interesting go for it! To add to your idea, if she really wants to test his skills she can pay off some thugs to try to fight Willis, only for him to use his Spirit Warrior powers to fend them off. It'll be interesting to see her reaction!

Also the Dwarf could be in Lothering, gives them extra motivation for the pair to go there but it's up to you of course!

This is a job and I can go with the idea with Willis meeting a contact because he's been given the job. He's work with shady characters before, so the Dwarf could send him to the merchant's store for details.

At his point would I start working on writing out her introduction. Maybe let you look over a draft first for me? I welcome constructive criticism while I'm getting my feet wet.
