You have a great audio setup there: i see a Schiit dac and an unknown amp to drive the headphones. Is that a pair of Audeze headphones on the far left? It is nice to see gamers send some dough on audio equipment. Far often I see a lot of gamers neglect their very high-end systems with poor quality headphones and on-board audio. That's a Schiit Bifrost Multibit DAC and a Burson Soloist headphone amp. They're a great combo for a lot of headphones. I use them to drive my Audeze LCD-2 and Fostex TH900 as shown in the picture. I use the TH900 solely for my music and the LCD-2 for everything else. I have a clip-on mic that I can attach to one of the headphone cables if I ever need to use voice chat. No need for a "gaming" headset.

G910 is too expensive tho... If you ever want to get the G910, make sure you get the G910 Orion "Spectrum" and not the G910 Orion "Spark." The Spectrum is the updated version with a straight wrist rest and normal keycaps. I was one of those who believed that you didn't need a fancy mechanical keyboard to play games, but I saw the G910 Spectrum on sale for $110 at Best Buy and I just had to buy it with the $35 promotional credit that Best Buy sent me.

Though, no real life pictures because intel leak is not an option Dell Inspiron 15 Intel Core i3-4005u CPU, @ 1,7GHz, 4MB RAM; Intel HD Chipset Family & Nvidia 820M much as I love the portability of laptops and tablets /convertibles you will likely need something packing a heck of a lot more gfx power to play new AAA games on, if doom and dxmkd are anything to go by then it will need at least 4gb of vram +8 gig of sys ram just fro the game (that's at least 10gig of total sys ram) and need an ssd to run it off if you don't like a lot of frame skipping as the game keeps calling preloaded texture maps from the swap file.... but fear not you can get a 4 year old desktop off ebay for under 100 bucks and slap in a new gfx card and (so long as its got an i7 4700k or fx8300 or newer processor and either running at least 16gig of ram or capable of running it) but anything older than the gtx1070 4gb or the r9-390 4gb cards is likely to have issues with games loading but crashing a lot and needing to wait weeks for updated drivers to be released (well in saying that the NVidia stuff always seems to degrade with each driver release to encourage replacing them so maybe there not the best investment if your after value for money) of course if your planning on building a new system from scratch then maybe wait and see if AMD gets round to releasing ZEN, if its up to scratch or not (just don't buy one of the dell / HP potatoes with its custom crippled mobo's and psu's)

Here's my setup. *snip* it looks like that monitors so small and far away it must be like using a phone screen, or is this just bad camera angle ? btw love the desktop pic I was using my nephew's phone to take the shot. I was sort of leaning away to get most of it in.

Maybe one day I will share my build/desktop but i had to send my gpu for rma and my case needs to be replaced. Going all aluminum/steel with window casing and no cheap plastic.

Is being "mechanical" a great trait? It does make a difference especially if you game and/or type a lot and very fast. They can be pretty noisy too so it's not always for you. Mechanical keyboards come with different switches that have different uses and characteristics. For example Red have a linear touch so they're supposed to be softer and less noisy. Blue are really clicky and noisy. Etc. Also even with the same switch some keyboards feel and sound totally different. but fear not you can get a 4 year old desktop off ebay for under 100 bucks and slap in a new gfx card and (so long as its got an i7 4700k or fx8300 or newer processor and either running at least 16gig of ram or capable of running it) but anything older than the gtx1070 4gb or the r9-390 4gb cards is likely to have issues with games loading but crashing a lot and needing to wait weeks for updated drivers to be released (well in saying that the NVidia stuff always seems to degrade with each driver release to encourage replacing them so maybe there not the best investment if your after value for money) of course if your planning on building a new system from scratch then maybe wait and see if AMD gets round to releasing ZEN, if its up to scratch or not (just don't buy one of the dell / HP potatoes with its custom crippled mobo's and psu's) Yeah my desktop PC is quite old now. Might be 3 or 4 years old. I got a GTX 1080 recently and I can run recent games on 3440x1440 at 100+ FPS xD

Yes. It's absolutely fantastic to type with my new keyboard. Forget the case because it's garbage! Two mice, so much wires and not a very clean table (I've been under too much pressure in RL lately to clean it regularly tbh!). Plus my old Wireless modem and my awesome old speaker and monitor. And here we have my older keyboard. It looks somehow good, but its backlight color is ugly-blue and typing with it is like a torture. My old Scanner-Printer is partially seen-able too.

I guess it's time for some under the shirt action! I think I'll keep it like this. My next build is going to be quite different, and even if I were to keep a MicroATX tower I would switch to a Define S for radiator space. I always hated the fixed HDD cage, but cutting it would be a mess and I do need at least half of it in place as you can see. The Pro 82+ has definitely served me well for more than 6 years. It's the 625W version, which is way more than enough for modern hardware! Didn't get the modular model at the time because it wasn't in stock and I couldn't wait. In hindsight it was the best decision, while I hate having that ugly bundle of cables sitting there, the non modular version has longer cables that let me route comfortably behind the motherboard tray. The CPU cooler is running with the fans on top instead of on it because I won at the silicon lottery, with an undervolted and overclocked core i5 that doesn't really need too much cooling. Though I will put it under water if I feel like pushing it to 5GHz, but I'll go crazy on this build only when I get myself a new PC.

If you want uATX there's the Define Mini, which is a bit outdated and is not that good for watercooling. With some modding I'm pretty sure you can fit some uATX motherboards on the Nano. I'm in the process of assembling a new PC from nothing, and i'm going in a somewhat similar direction too (quietness and not too much space, i don't want water cooling), though I'm liking the Node 304 and its little sister the Core 500 more myself.

I know, I'll just put a smaller board inside. The Define Mini is not that great, it's been updated to the R4 series but not the R5 and it's always a generation behind. When I got the R3 I did consider the Mini (they only had R2, R3 and the Mini at the time), but it was an R2 based Mini and not as well build as the R3 I got. The R3 is full ATX but as you can see it's quite cramped inside as it is really compact for an ATX case and the reason why I got a MicroATX board in it (an ATX board would've made cable routing hell). I would suggest the Node 304, it's better built than the Core 500 and the HDD cages are removable letting you have better airflow inside (since it's such a small case you'll need that to keep it silent). I've touched the plastic used in the Core series and it really feels (and looks) cheap. They are well built, but you can clearly see and feel where they cut corners to keep the price low. I think Fractal should really keep working on their quality products and stop making 20 different series to cover every single market segment. By the way, if you want silence on air, prepare to endure the poop brown and puke tan of Noctua. There is just nothing as good as their fans for the price.

After much crying and threatening of legal action to get a refund, I've abandoned my planned ITX build and completed a traditional x99 build for gaming and video production (not that I make any videos).
After finally getting my ASRock x99 ITX motherboard back from RMA, it still didn't work with my CPU. The 12 core CPU I had received was not an engineering sample that I had ordered, but a different model instead. The clocks and architecture are identical, but the model I received was specifically an OEM model that did not work with commercial boards. I had erroneously assumed that because the CPUs were physically the same as listed compatible Xeons, it would be compatible. Alas, microcode is a bitch.
Just to make sure, I bought a different ASRock x99 motherboard (x99 Taichi). Latest motherboard they've released for max compatibility. Updated the BIOS to the latest version and still nothing. So I got butthurt and decided to pickup a 5820k instead with the money I got from refunding the 12 core CPU. Technically, the refund period had expired but because they sent me a different model, I cried false advertising and threatened to sick the ACCC on them. Worked.
I really liked the look of the Taichi so I decided to use that instead of the M-ITX board and haven't looked back since. Sitting pretty on 4.4GHz, but I know I could push further with a better cooler.
I still have the ITX motherboard, and I plan on eventually making an x99 build with it. But I'm tapped out for funds right now. Maybe for my birthday.
Anyway I'll take pics of the 5820k Taichi based build sometime later.

Well, I'm happy they do cause I don't care as much for the looks as I care for the price . And a project of mine is to mod it anyway (wooden exterior), so might as well take the cheaper one. I actually prefer the core 500 take on the drive bays placement, though in the end I'll probably only use a single SSD so neither matters that much. Also, this is the reason I need a whole new PC: That's a 6 year old, heavily worn out low-mid range (back then, now...) laptop. Poor thing can barely handle ME3MP, but at least it can. Secondary screen must be around 8-9 years old too. I only use when I have to work, to keep as may documents visible at the same time as possible, and that's pretty much it. Can't use both when gaming . And that's some nice cable management, crusty

Wow, that's a lot of effort. So did it actually kill your Mini ITX mobo? Because you mentioned you were gonna RMA it.

Right now I'm at peasant level with a GT 220 Graphics Card and 8GB of ram with a Dell i5. The inside looks like: It can handle last gen just fine, but not much else. Time to get gud:

dominus dust off the CPU cooler, or even replace with a new one (LGA1156 is compatible with all the 1155 and 1150 coolers out there, I think also 1151), and if you can find a Core i7-870 at less than 100$ in good condition (either boxed or used from a trusted seller) then get it. Will give you a nice boost thanks to the higher clocks compared to that generation Core i5 and if you don't have the i5-750 you will also gain two more cores that greatly help with more modern games. I'd say, though, that before doing the CPU upgrade you should really switch the power supply in that thing. That Dell is still from before the company became private again, so quality should meet the minimum standard of "it works" and is now at least 6 years old so I don't think it will be able to handle the GTX 1060 and keep it stable under full load.

Time to get gud: I had a GTS 250 and it barely could run New Vegas on Max settings (- 8x instead of 16x MA) on acceptable 25+ FPS. GTX 1060 is a great graphic card but I would get a Gigabyte or MSI model of it.
