I got bored of the story and the hacking slowing down the gameplay. Should I reinstall it?

I just came back to it over the past week or so after taking a break from it for a couple of months. I would definitely give it another chance and since your main hangup seems to be the hacking mini game you can now pick up the remnant decryption keys pretty cheap in game now. Overall I forgot how fun the game actually is. I am glad I gave it a second chance.

Why you're asking us? Do you want to reinstall it or don't you want to do it? Do you want to replay it or don't you?
Make up your own mind or do you really want to bait for millionst helping of fanboy vs hater.

well, I started Origins in 2012, gave up on it after the intro, because it looked ugly. picked it up again in 2016, when I got clued in how to adjust video options, and got through it Okay, but I felt frustrated, b/c I was in a rush to get through DAT before Andromeda. I restarted it again last month, and actually enjoyed it more, after I ran my new shiny toy twice. I find the artistic and gameplay contrast really sharpening enjoyement of both games.
If your frame of mind/mood have changed, try another shot at it. If it is the same, I'd say wait longer. Game's not going away.

Well, if you didn't like the story the first time, it hasn't changed with patches. They've patched bugs, technical issues, animations, improved the CC, but if your issues were with the core elements of the game, those have not changed.

You can give it another change.
Just try to avoid giving too many pennies.

I got bored of the story and the hacking slowing down the gameplay. Should I reinstall it? Thats up to you. For me, no patch can fix the issues that I have with the game such as the story and open world execution so MEA is a one-and-done for me. YMMV

Do you want to? That is the real question. I personally think the best time to do something is when you are inspired to do it. If you want to do it, if something about it is calling you to do it, go for it. But if you are bored and just looking for something to do, then probably not because in that state, nothing really satisfies you and then you think it sucks when really you weren't in the mood for it.

Honestly, I don't give a rats *ss whether you do or don't. I gave TW3 a second chance after becoming bored with the story... got bored again and quit that game... probably will never give it a 3rd chance. Do you care? Didn't think so.
I'm enjoying the playing the game and your stating that you didn't enjoy it won't change that either.
Also, you can avoid the hacking... just use remnant decryption keys. As for the story, you can apparently blast through that in pretty short order.

Pretty much this. After doing a bunch of speedruns and testing a romance out that keeps changing each new patch lol I am not enjoying myself because it feels like a chore, so I am taking a break. Too burned out. If I force myself to play, I'll hate on it for no reason because I am doing something I don't want to do. Basically he should try again and if he still feels "eh" about it, forget about it and play something else. You don't know until you try.

I say: wait for any possible DLC and see if the story in those appeal to you. Example: If you're a fan of the original MET, then maybe a DLC about what happened to the Quarian might appeal to you. It's really not a good idea to try and play a game unless it actually appeals to you on some level.

I played MEA a ton since release but I've hit a bored with it period so I'm chilling out, watching TV, hitting the gym, doing other stuff. I played an insane amount of hours so I got my money's worth. Gotta go with the flow. Best way to live life. Never try to make stuff happen when you aren't feeling it because that never really goes very well. Unhappy journeys never have happy endings despite they like to sell that fiction. And unhappy journeys only become happy ones when you shift your perspective on it. Okay, enough fortune cookie wisdom. Imma go eat a hamburger.

After doing a bunch of speedruns and testing a romance out that keeps changing each new patch What's your fastest time? Around 2 hours on Narrative lol poor Dunn met a sad fate that time lol and I could be even faster if I wasn't stopping for each romance scene to test it and report back.

Mass Effect Andromeda is the topic at hand here. ... and I equally don't care whether or not the OP is bored with this game. I'm not bored with this story at all. I've given two suggestions as to how he/she can possibly avoid being bored with the story and the hacking this time around. It's completely up to him/her whether or not he/she gives it a second chance. I'm not out to convince anyone to like this game... and I'd appreciate people not trying to convince me to hate it. (Since there is significantly less hacking in ME:A than there was in either ME1 or ME2, I am indeed suspicious about the OP not being completely sincere about what he/she has posted).

I'm usually good with puzzles but I couldn't figure out the pattern. lol I never even knew it was based off a real game. I just thought it was merely trying to find the hidden pattern. It makes me wonder if I'd be good at Sudoku.
