The road to N7 Day and Mass Effect's 10th Anniversary

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it passed without mention from BioWare. The shitstorm they'd have to deal with wouldn't be worth the hassle. Unless they had a genuine fan pleasing announcement, such as remasters/remakes of the OT or a very late ME:A DLC. Even then, either or both of those would still piss people off.

At this point, anything from BioWare would piss some people off. Anything from anyone, really, we live in a world where some people seem to live off getting pissed off at things. I agree this year's N7 will be specially complicated for them though, they'll play it safe.

If Bioware does nothing on 10th anniversary of N7, then that lack of act alone would cause a massive shitstorm.

10 years already? My - time is flying by.

I could see it being something low key, like maybe having people play the OT on Twitch or some minor freebie item in a patch for Andromeda. Nothing overly big. I do think no matter what BioWare does people are going to be upset they aren't doing what they want.

Oh, I suspect something will happen. N7 Day has turned into a thing at this point. Ignoring it isn't probably an option.

It was a thing because it fit into BW's marketing schemes. Up to now, they always had some ME realted news to announce over the year. This one might be the first year when they do not.

IMO it really depends on their plans for ME:A. If they do make DLC, it might even be that they release one on N7 day (not as a surprise but with an earlier announcement in September/October, it is a Tuesday this year after all). They have plenty of time to make one until then.

If the worst case scenario is true and they really do want to put the series on ice, I doubt we'll see much, some low key youtube video at best.

Eh. A company gots to pay the bills or it doesn't stay in business. If marketing pimps ME through the 10 yr anniversary it only makes sense to do so. Bring in some new fans who'll purchase N7 merchandise and what not.

And, holy hell, I hope we don't have to wait until November for DLC. This forum would absolutely melt the fuck down if that's the case.
