I really enjoyed. I've replayed it at least once within the past 6 months. Despite its rough edges it has great writing and characters...especially the Arishok. The Archon and his circumstance remind a lot of the Arishok being stuck in Kirkwall going rogue on his own mission

5 years down the line, people will feel the same about MEA and ask why it was ever trashed so badly. Of course, many are doing that right now on Twitter and YouTube, so it might not take that long either.

DA2 is my favorite Dragon Age game, simply for the way the story is structured - you can headcanon away some of the technical stuff like the caves and enemies as just part of Varric's story, the fact that it's not a OMGZ THE CHOSEN ONE MUST SAVE THE WORLD plot but more of a random dude has to deal with a bunch assholes for several years can I just get ONE FUCKING MOMENT OF PEACE ANDERS GOD DAMN, and of course the companions are the best in any of the games don't @ me.

Also I really enjoyed the way they made it so you can hatefuck someone instead of just being all lovey dovey with them. Solid addition. Would hatefuck again.

Damnation is delightful. Everyone should try it.

I too must share my admiration for DA 2. Best RP protagonist ever, amazing Roleplay period, and Act 2 was one of the best if not the best story I've ever played in a video game...but then Act 3 happened.

DAI was released in a period where its only competitor was Shadow of Mordor. MEA was basically released alongside critically acclaimed games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Zelda.

yep it happened to me multiple times, just had to walk around the mountain. I didn't mind because the lighting was good and I could get some great screenshots 😂

BioWare and EA made no such statement, only Jason's sources that are "familiar with BioWare".

Only statement EA made was, they are happy with BioWare after ME:A release and they still have high expectations for ME franchise.

In 5 years people will hate ME:A2 and say ME:A was BioWare's last great game, as they fallen from grace after Anthem and DA4.

Because same shit happened after ME1 was released, then especially with ME2, then when ME3 came as well. This doom and gloom reaction happens every time BioWare release a game.

It is a tiresome trend.

Seriously? Most of those were from before the patches, but if you feel like misrepresenting things...

It's not a misrepresentation though. For that vast majority of people those GIFs ARE Mass Effect Andromeda. They either played before patches or saw the YouTube videos and never bought the game in the first place. Every game has glitches, no 2017 AAA release had glitches like ME:A. Every problem ME:A has is down to EA/BioWare, not internet hate.

And yet to this day, game still sells and people make threads on various forums and social media how ME:A is actually quite good and not bad as online outrage made it to be.

Almost as if, online outrage exaggerated the negative reaction.
