Why are we talking about Canada? It's all about America!!!!!! 4th of July! In two days and every Mexican is going to go through a day's work of pay blowing off fireworks here. This is San Antonio! I will be in the backyard in my cargo shorts, crocs and Legalize It T-shirt using the Weber grill. Canada Day. Poutin and fries. Love that stuff.

Yeah man. My Jay is cool. He's way more polite and cooler than me. He's also very reserved. He's not like the "other" guy. Oh you mean that "other" guy : or maybe there is one even worse... This guy is of fiction. The "other" guy writes it.

It's the whole metric system thing. I know... eventually I too can learn it. The real problem is having to switch socket wrench sets to work from one vehicle to the next. Twice as many to go missing.

The real problem is having to switch socket wrench sets to work from one vehicle to the next. Twice as many to go missing. My truck is a Toyota Tundra made here in San Antonio. That's all I know. It's all metric, but the gas pump works in gallons and that I do know. When I go to Canada, liters are not gallons. Filling up vehicles there is something you should budget. If you don't speak French in Montreal, you're going to always overpay. I know. It's the way things work. Ignorance is my problem. However, smartphones can translate now and do all sorts of conversion stuff by asking Siri.

This has been bugging me through this entire thread, so: Anonymous sources are a completely legitimate part of journalism. Sure, it doesn't sound as good as being able to name names, but in businesses or governments or wherever, the possibility of retaliation against leakers is very real. Without the ability to remain anonymous, few people would be willing to break contractual agreements or deal in classified government info. Investigative journalism basically could not exist without this. This isn't just some sort of 'tabloid journalism' thing. Every investigative journalist worth their salt has anonymous sources, and quotes them in articles. So while quoting anonymous inside sources can be used as a cover for false information, it is not itself evidence that the information is false. Yep. And after the crapstorm the female dev suffered from angry gamers supposedly about the animations, the constant harassment of spam the devs are getting right now, and the threats devs have gotten in the past, I don't think any sane person would blame them for wishing to stay anonymous. That, of course, in addition to wanting to keep their jobs.

I noticed that, and, "New multiplayer content is continued to be released, and new content kind of arriving overall more regularly." I hadn't heard that from anyone until I read the transcript. What they didn't know was they would have to fix the game first before the rest would happen. Indeed which is why all in all I think iswhythings have been slightly delayed perhaps with DLC and other things

Instead of checking the prepared remarks from the shareholder meeting I checked the full transcript. The meeting was on May 9th, 2017. I'll post full quotes of what was said with regard to Andromeda and let you guys figure out what's important. From the presentation: From the Q&A: Question Answer This is amazing! Yet this shareholder meeting happened from nearly 2 months ago, yet nobody pointed these things out? I only ever got out of this from gaming press articles are "EA is happy with BioWare" and nothing else, so this is all publicly available transcript. Yet, everyone chosen to pick Jason's word as gospel. EDIT#1Added proper link for shareholder meeting.

IIRC, they specifically mentioned MP content. I'm sure the game will keep getting that because they can make money off of that. Also, new content could be anything, from patches, the enhancing the character creator, to making Jaal a romance option for male Ryder. You don't find it odd that they would specifically mention MP content and not SP content? In this case, you're right. Not about the money part, that's still wrong, but I think the comment about content arriving on a regular basis has to do with APEX missions and MP content. Since they're not doing DLC for MP this time around they'll just be adding content like characters, maps and weapons as the game goes on. And, no, it's not odd they wouldn't mention SP content specifically since SP DLC is sold, not added to the game for free, something Mike Gamble, I believe, covered in his Twitter feed as to why they couldn't just announce SP DLC. There are SEC and financial reasons SP DLC can't be just announced. Most of the ME player base has always played more of the campaign than the MP. EA did make the statement that we would be seeing more from the SP development team in the months ahead.
Yeah I think that's what they meant in that the SP would recieve updates/DLC in the months ahead. MP can easily be updated just through the servers and patches and all that because it takes far less work and is done that way for the most part. With SP DLC you have to get the writers back in. Get the VA's to record new lines and do more animations and design the levels which takes a fair bit longer hence the word months. Also decide which choices to offer the player and integrate all of that into the existing story. As I said all of this takes time

The ones cheering for it to fail and hoping there is not going to be more content are spiteful children. It doesn't hurt them in the slightest if DLC is released or if more ME games are made. Nobody is holding a gun to their head and making them buy or play them. But what if some are literally threatened with death if they don't buy it? Their sacrifice will be honored in the coming franchise. yeah either that or they can take the advice of this song.

One thing that has never converted to the metric system are the idioms... People in Canada still miss things by a mile, refuse to give an inch, will still take their pound of flesh, and join the mile-high club.

so, there will be SP DLC and MP DLC? SP DLC is up in the air because of no confirmation. All anyone can do is make a reasonable guess. My guess is "yes", but that means absolutely nothing until BioWare releases DLC. They were never releasing DLC for the MP this time around. They've made that statement on the Twitch streams a couple of times. They're slowly adding content, like characters, maps and weapons, to MP via the APEX missions.

The issue isn't so much that he has anonymous sources, its that he's pointing to the anonymous sources as proof that he's speaking facts. Anonymous sources are great for breaking stories and insider gossip but they don't work for proving stances, for the obvious reason that a source can't be verified if no-one knows what/who it is. The fact that he could be 100% right and we still wouldn't be able to work out whether he ever genuinely knew or had simply guessed correctly should highlight the issue.
