i didn't accuse him of being the one who did the harassment. he just made it easier for potential harassers to find potential targets. just because everyone on the internet is theoretically able to read this forum doesn't mean everyone is. i didn't know this forum existed until a couple weeks ago. he is a prominent journalist with a large following. i'd wager the readership of kotaku is larger than the readership of this forum. his actions have consequences, whether he intends them or not, and he should be aware of this.

This bizarre logic can be applied to anyone who ever links to what someone else publicly wrote, ever. "Bob, who has a 'large' following, retweeted someone--hope he understands that he just made that person the potential target of a hypothetical maniac!"

no, this applies to the internet as a whole. i've seen people on twitter be harassed off the site because a popular account retweeted them plenty of times, in fact it's pretty much how that entire website functions (google "callout culture"). but you go on believing what you want i guess.
