It's not that long, considering the scope of the game. Massive detailed open world set in futuristic city, driving, complex rpg mechanics, variety of playstyles, multiplayer...6 years of development, minimum.
I'm also looking forward to Anthem, but this seems far closer to that "Bob Dylan" of video games.
Whatever someone thinks of CDPR, no doubt they're pushing more and more forward with their games and that's a good thing for us, as players/customers.

That it, like Anthem*, Witcher, and Skyrim, will be a great game that everyone loses their mind about. And on paper, I SHOULD like it. But in reality, I won't enjoy it and I'll feel a bit of guilt about that. ...At least, that's my personal fear.

That, or it'll let people down, and there's nothing like mild disappointment in something one had positive expectations of to lead to a steaming glass of frothy haterade that I'll have to hear about for months.

Personally, I don't have a beef against the game, at all, just stating a fact: 4 years. The video was put out going on four years now. As for the development, CDPR has their engine. They've had it for 2 years or more now.

I just wish that meant HL3 was confirmed.
