Your message is you have (more or less) achieved everything in this game hence what benefit do you see in maxing out a virtual benefit?

Obviously you don't need it to successfully play the game. Apex leaderboard rankings which would benefit from it are as you stated elsewhere yourself pointless and even a maxed out manifest without constant farming wouldn't warrant a sustainable high rank.
Bottom line the question is what your motivation would be to have a maxed manifest? That's the decision maker.

Side note: I don't know how far you are progressed with your existing manifest but I doubt that 500 bucks equalling e.g. 200 premium packs would be enough to max out only the remaining new cards even if you had maxed out everything before patch 1.09.

If you think 500$ means anything you are delusional, it would take thousands of dollars to dent the amount of crap in the store before, your looking at some ridiculous number on the order of 20 000$ to make it like half way.

If 100$ gets you 40 premium packs, and you get 10 average UR from that (it would be more like 5 though if you aren't lucky unless they changed it). to get ~450 new UR cards, Which isn't all will take 4 500$ as a start.
