Good list. Your go to character for platinum are pretty much on par with mine (and probably everyone elses). The only one I havent tried is the Huntress

It is a bit of a one sided list because it suggest that you are better off picking an all infiltrator team, which is IMHO not the case. DPS, debuff, healing and CC kits are highly under rated.
Just two examples:
The human sentinel is an awesome kit for plat: barricade is very useful vs. dogs, controlling chokepoints, revives, drawing aggro. On top of this allies will flock to your barricade and you can heal them with ED.
The human adept is still a high DPS, high CC kit, though a bit squisy: high risk, high reward. You need above average situational awareness and patient allies but IMHO it worth the risk.

Yeah, I mean, this is not a bad idea but maybe you can rework the order of some characters based on feedback from this topic. Some of the most notable mistakes (in my opinion): - Angara Insurgent - I personally don't like this guy from the start of MEA, but damn is he strong. Amazing troll mines, and great tankiness from passives + Shield boost (and team support with shield boost). He is top tier - TSol - I mean, we can argue if he is tier 4 or 5 but he is still the best weapon platform in this game for me. Put a good weapon on him (I mean, you don't even need the Hurricane X, just slap on the Raptor) and the DPS he dishes out is insane. If you feel he's a bit squishy slap on a Cyclonic on him as due to his DR, he's one of the few characters in MEA that benefit more from the Cyclonics than the rest - Human Adept - ponytail is pretty great on Plat. Maybe not the top tier but pretty awesome. Same goes for the AA but she has to be played even more carefully and that may not suit everyone - Human Vanguard - Tier 2, this is heresy! with 40% combo, powers and melee, the human vanguards are some of the characters that benefit the most from the Veteran ranks. Everyone has a different preferred way of playing him but I would say that I am quite pleased with my Charge/Nova build and carrying power recharge gear. The idea is that your cooldowns are so fast that you basically live in a constant alternation of iframes from charge/nova (and well placed Dhan or other shottie shots in-between). Failure happens only when charge fails to activate or iframes randomly fail offhost. Maybe not tier 5, but tier 4 at least! And your teammates will be grateful how much of the aggro and Hydra shots to da face you're taking with your iframes while they dish out damage to the distracted enemies!

TIER 1: Krogan Vanguard - Unlike the Human Vanguard that has alternate powers, Kroguard would have to sacrifice his health to detonate his own explosions. You can't charge headfirst into Platinum enemies like you can do on Gold... he just doesn't survive So you're telling me that I dove into Platinum with arguably the worst character choice? O.o

Is this a solo capability list? If not the Insurgent and Operator in tier 3 is grotesque. I'd ask if you even play this game? Both characters are amazing. Trip mines and shield boost and invasion and shield boost. Like for real? Too many howitzers in your list to take seriously. Also I don't think you know how barricades work. If you play outlaw, when the electric fence is on enemies sit outside of whatever room you are in and don't enter. You can double barricade a room and kishock everything outside it. Anything with barricade is automatically tier 4 in platinum now. Some barricade classes are preferable to others but barricade is a top tier power in this game now. None of the characters in tier 5 compete with the avenger. He is head and shoulders above the rest. Huntress only has grid and saving barrier. Avenger is far superior. None of the other characters have on demand stealth and can do hacks by themselves. They belong in tier 3 or most likely 4. Tac cloak makes you survivable and able to support and revive teammates and increase damage. Kro-merc belongs lower than the batarian. The cryo debuff and flak makes him miles ahead of the kromerc which if you don't skip flamethrower, will just die all the time. The duelist is way better than tier one. She just takes a lot of skill to play and has low DPS. Backlash and charge are amazing if you aren't a scrub. I'm still learning and adjusting to her on platinum. But charge is 100% not a death sentence and backlash is not 100% garbage like you suggest. Don't project your skill level onto my duelist. A lot of your list is based on your inability to competently play those characters, not on their inherent capabilities. This is a co-op game. Charging vanguard with shockwave and an asari adept team is amazing... Reading comprehension seems to be an issue for you. It's ok though, I don't expect the narcissistic jackasses to agree with any of this. - Read what I said about the Insurgent... his trip mines are great, but you will be running from ammo box to ammo box to replenish them. Camping with him is excellent to setup a chokepoint trap, but once you run out of trip mines, it's either spam your ammo capacity or run constantly to the next box. Shield boost of course is a great support power, which should be spammed all game long. - I know how electric barricade works. And how the Blaze Hydra, Progenitor, Fiend, Observers walk right through them. It's perfect for Adhis, Wraiths and even Berserkers rushing. But by the later rounds, the bosses just ignore the barricade. It's helpful for hacks/uploads in rooms keeping enemies out. Unfortunately most rooms have 2 entrances, so unless you have 2 barricades, you can only block 1 door at a time with 1 barricade user. - Your video alone shows the issues with a duelist, Backlash is used in small spurts, Charge is used to survive.... and Lance is your 1 power to spam. Outside of having detonators, what is Lance going to do otherwise? Unlike a gold match, where you can head in face first and destroy enemies, her power set means she is going to set back or wait for CQC to become effective. - Annihilation becomes useful sitting in a room. Out in the open, not so much. How many health only enemies are there in platinum compared to shielded or armored enemies? Annihilation needs enemies to get close, and most players will be playing with fire letting too many enemies get so close. Sure, sitting in a room with teammates will increase her power set.... but then again that goes for almost any character. And of course this game is Co-op.... but guess what, a good portion of people PUG rooms and relying on them is like expecting you to understand adult concepts. For those testing the waters, wondering which characters are going to survive, deal damage or focus on support, this is a list for them.

You need above average situational awareness and patient allies but IMHO it worth the risk. It's not just about picking an infiltrator team... but if a team where to pick all tier 4 characters, you know there would be issues doing the hack/upload without invisibility. Until Bioware gets their shit together, the hack is heavily reliant on invisibility right now. Barricade is effective, but against the lower enemies. By wave 6, you have Progenitors and Blaze hydras speed walking through them. Flying enemies ignoring them. The biggest unit it will stop is the Berserker and Behemoth. And realistically, the enemies that a barricade DOES stop, are the ones that are easily dispatched with almost any other power in the game. The problem with the Human Adept, is noticed if you compare her to Engineers. Incinerate/Overload, Cryo/Overload, ED/Throw.... these powers have far more range compared to Singularity/Shockwave. On bigger maps like Sandstorm & Icebreaker, HAdepts would need to be hunkered in a room to be effective (and most of those rooms are tiny). And her 1 chance to regain her health, relies on pulling a low level enemy to her. Meanwhile a Sentinel with energy drain can replenish his & the teams shields. And fight enemies from a distance. It shows the HAdepts have limitations compared to other tech powered characters.

And your teammates will be grateful how much of the aggro and Hydra shots to da face you're taking with your iframes while they dish out damage to the distracted enemies! Insurgent mines are great, but you need A LOT of them. Meaning running to and from ammo boxes often. And with adhis or wraiths in every faction now, they set them off before the big guys come through chokepoints. You can certainly use ammo packs to replenish them, but that's a finite amount. Otherwise, his biggest contribution is shield boosting. Turian Soldier certainly has the best DPS in the game for guns. Even with all the damage resistance & boosters, the biggest enemies wallop the poor guy. The other characters also have flak cannons which can be fired off while recovering from damage (and they get more power cells than the TSol). And pending on how people feel about movement versus stationary defense with him, it's hard to sit in a spot an entire round without eventually being overrun by bigger enemies in the later rounds. The issue with the Vanguard, and mostly any character with charge, is what you're charging into. On Gold, you can fly right into a group of 4-6 enemies and still have enough firepower to kill them all. Knocking them off 1 at a time, dealing collateral damage to the others around them....... but when you have Destroyer turrets, Saboteurs and their cheesy energy drain from a mile away, behemoths that won't stagger properly............ then all of sudden you notice that charging takes a bit more patience. His high risk high reward style, isn't as effective against the bullet sponges Platinum added.

4 Infiltrators with 8 sticky grenades each.
20 grenades per wave x 4 player is 80 grenades.
80 x 7 wave is 560 sticky grenade.
Each player has reserve 8 grenades x 5 ammo pack which is 40. 40 x 4 is 160 grenades in reserve.
I can`t imagine anything better than that especially they will make all objectives free win.

We sat in a room on sandstorm a whole game vs outlaw with two barricades and nothing came in. It deters them. They go around when they sense an electric barricade. You must not know how to place the mines and also you should have 7 mines placed towards the end of a round and be refilling them as the round starts so you have 7 in the hole. I use 14 mines a round easily without ammo packs. If you have an avenger on the team you can also be like, stealth me brah. Its a coop game and go get more. You just want characters that are solo tanks. I play for coops because I trust my teammates. I use stun mines and shield boost the shit out of them and everyone does 20% more damage because of it. When that grenade +3 gear comes out the AI will be broken it will be so good. Yes, annihilation is great in a room but not outside in the open. Pray tell, which characters are actually good standing out in the open on platinum? I won't hold my breath. And yes the duelist has issues but I survived for 90 seconds in a giant horde of enemies. You have to player her a certain way. I admit her DPS is low but charge and backlash are not close to being garbage. Your tiers are ridiculous.

The same goes for observer's lasers and destroyer's turrets.

It all comes down to player preferences and skill in my opinion. Remember ME3 when (almost) everyone thought the Drell Vanguard was bad? I never had a problem with him, even before grenade capacity gear came along. Give me a Krogan or any slow moving character on the other hand and I wipe the floor on a regular basis. The powers don't even matter. A few exceptions aside I just can't play slow and sluggish characters even if they are tanks. I can't get used to their style and also I get bored and then I start doing stupid stuff. I'll take a squishy character with the ability to move around quickly over a seemingly more powerful character any day. Therefor the characters I feel most comfortably with are also my go to characters for any difficulty. So some of the kits listed in Tier 1 like the Asari Adept or the Asari Duelist would be top tier in my case whereas I had quite a few problems with the Turian Soldier (listed as Tier 4 here)...

Nullifiers, Saboteurs, Agents & Anarchists stay at a distance and rarely charge you...they get within shooting distance, but rarely melee distance. Destined are hit or miss, sometimes they charge, other times they sit back and just go invisible. Barricade works on those enemies, but you have to be realistic in how they attack you. The biggest enemy it's going to stop are Krogans (when they don't stop 10 feet away and flak cannon you to death), most of the other units tend to keep their distance and you have to go to them.

So the huntress has gone from "no synergy" and "poor man's kineticist" to platinum elite tier. I guess all that ammo I was saving up will be really useful now. I've only so far played platinum with the HA, and I've had mixed experiences. One, playing a pull-heavy HA is far less effective than on gold. I had to respec her. I think most kits that focused on one-hit kills in gold will need to be respecced for sustained DPS. Two, team composition has a huge effect on how viable a particular character is. Playing with a good team, my HA did just fine. Good CC, debuffs and decent survivability. Later, I played with a team with 3 infs (two of which were PUGs). I was getting hit from 3 sides (dat aggro dump). Still did decently score-wise, but had to be revived at least 5 times per wave. It was terrible... my poor pwnytail! Personally, I'm still thinking about how to respec many of the characters, as they were tailored to deal with redbars (and burning a lot of respec cards). Now it's all about armor and bosses. I think I may leave some kits for playing in gold, and some specifically for platinum. So, I don't think the tiers are outright wrong, but it's still early in the gold -> platinum character builds, and the tiers don't reflect team play vs. individual survivability. But thanks for the list, nonetheless.

Asari Adept is amazing on platinum if you are tactically loitering (aka camping) with a squad. This is, after all, a co-op game. --Annihilation debuff of enemies. --Insta priming of anything in the room and lots of combos. --Everyone is getting 30% shields back per kill in the field. --She has saving barrier and is very fast. You can move around with her too, just very cautiously. She isn't going to solo platinum but with the right teammates and synergy she is really good. Just wanted to give formal notice that I'm totally stealing the phrase "tactically loitering". I posted on a cod forum that every time you wrote camping it auto changed the text to tactical loitering when you submitted a post.

What's your duelist build?

Fitness: Unyielding, Barrier Drain and Saving Barrier Offense: Power Efficiency, Weapon and Melee, Biotic Warrior Charge: Damage, Weapons, Bastion Backlash recharge, reflection, damage. Just ran her with a dhan (two actually!) with melee mod, strength enhancer 3 or 4 and power efficiency three. She did okay. Not going to top leaderboards but fun...After my plat solo today I got this nice little gem on the platinum apex... I was more excited about that backlash feed than my solo. We farmed it a few times and I was so sick of ascendant bubbles hitting me I went to backlash just to kill ascendants.

And you have A LOT of them. I mean, if you are playing Rio-box style camping on the corner room of Sandstorm, sure, you'll not have enough mines. But tactically moving between ammo boxes with your team(and movement is needed anyway because enemies will be overrunning you a lot of plat) nets you a lot of them. MEA is much more generous with its grenades bountifulness than ME3 was (as your teammates are not stealing them) so not having enough of them is absolutely no excuse. I'd say that each round I use at least 12-15 of the mines on plat. Even more if I run in a "nope nope noooope" situation and consume an ammo pack. Not to mention that if you get higher ranks of the Insurgent you'll have +40% power damage and +40% combo damage (!?!!!!) when they detonate your team's primers. As for the Vanguard I will agree that he's not the top tier (as the top tier seems to be for characters that allow you to play them with great success while brain dead) but he's definitely the next tier. If one charges to the center of the map with every enemy there and shooting actively at them, they will surely die but... this is not the Vanguard's problem but rather user error. He is still tanky but you do have to pay a little bit of attention what and *when* you are charging (and novaing). Ideally you want to exploit the a-plenty iframes you'll have at the moments when you have a gazillion hydras shooting at you (and you will survive that, minus during the charge and lag fails previously mentioned). And he only gets better the more biotic characters on the team you have. As killa mentioned, he's even greater with an AA and/or HA around (or even HE/BBro).

Maybe because she's my favorite character to play as in gold, but kineticist tier 1?
I think that's a L2P issue, right there. Are continuous on-demand ammo priming combo's no longer useful in platinum?
