That's quite a list which, I suspect, will only get longer. There's around 350 on the nexus. Yeah, but my initial thought was "They have to overlap for a lot of them - there can't be more than several types of mods"... Oh, how wrong I was, despite basing it off an educated guess of browsing Nexus mods a week or so back...

When a game can be modded -IT MUST BE MODDED!. And I will say it now... the first game that got me into Modding was KOTOR. I think that was very first game I modded and after checking my Kotor has over 900 individual files in the override folder. As to how many exact mods couldn't say don't have the root mod folder anymore. Is that a FPS game like the COD series or a game of the Third Person genre? There's around 350 on the nexus. Yeah, but my initial thought was "They have to overlap for a lot of them - there can't be more than several types of mods"... Oh, how wrong I was, despite basing it off an educated guess of browsing Nexus mods a week or so back... 350? That seems low though... Thought there were more. However yes -if going by category there is exactly 351 in the ME:A nexus section at current. There are mods for many things but in my case they could be probably narrowed to three categories: All in all most of my mods can probably be equated to texture mods. The next highest account is most likely for gameplay mechanics. The lowest is probably not really a category but it is what I consider one of the more important -game efficiency.

ArmA is a bit of a genre of it's own. It's supposed to be a simulator of sorts, with all things military - right now, ArmA 3 has, in addition to the core infantry gameplay, DLCs (which add extra vehicles, weapons and such, but also had a companion patch with free platform updates - more on those with individual DLC) which improve: Helicopter gameplay (paid content is few new helicopters, free content is new, optional, hardcore flight model and helicopter sling loading), Jets gameplay (paid content - F/A-181 Black Wasp II, To-201 Shikra, A-149 Gryphon air superiority fighters, as the original game only had ground support aircraft; free content: jets are completely reworked, handle a bit more realistically, also every air vehicle had it's sensor suite reworked with the companion patch, and, I shit you not, one of the free things is a MOTHERFUCKING NUCLEAR AIRCRAFT CARRIER) Infantry play (hah, I'm not kidding! - paid content is new sniper rifles, general purpose machine guns - as only automatic rifles and LMGs were in base game - and new full-body ghillies; free content is bipod functionality and I think some more stuff I forgot) Planned DLCs for the game include: "Orange" - mysterious DLC, nobody quite knows what it is, and they actually only told us the working title Tanks - reworking how armored vehicles work, as right now it's still kind of meh Tac-Ops - not exactly known, but supposedly SP gameplay DLC with focus on replayability There's free DLC, too... Malden - remastered island from 2001 Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, 'nuff said Zeus - allows for gamemastering in SP and MP, basically an on-the-fly editor Eden - the old mission editor was a relatively limited (you had to do a LOT of things outside of the game) 2D variant. Eden (stylized as 3Den) brings in a full 3D editor for mission creation - Zeus served as a basis, but this builds on and where Zeus is meant to do things on the fly, Eden is a full editor that allows things previously only imagined Did I mention Apex expansion? Because it adds a new Pacific setting (base game is set in the mediterranean) including loads of units, weapons and vehicles. And Tanoa. It also expands on the special forces in the game, with new toys specifically for that kind of unit. Last but I suppose not least, there's the Karts DLC. When this came out, it was actually intended as a test for their DLC platform (they intended to, unlike A2, not split the community, so they tested the paid/free content thing, as well as being able to test DLC items without purchase - with limitations different from the A2 iteration) and since it's more of a joke, with literally karts being added to a military simulator, most of the proceeds reportedly went to charity. Right now, there are several maps in the game with official content alone: Altis (30x30km with sea, google Lemnos in Greece, it's a copy), Tanoa (15x15km, fictional Pacific archipelago from the Apex expansion), Malden (12x12km with sea, remastered from OFP:CWC), Stratis (8x8km with sea, smaller island from the base game, Agios Efstratios in real life) and Virtual Reality (8x8km, but it's a blank, virtual-looking place with nothing on it, not even a skybox, came with the Bootcamp update and now the game's tutorial is based on it, along with Arsenal - there is a story-based tutorial campaign, but that only teaches advanced things and serves as a prologue to the main campaigns). Of course, then you can download any of the hundreds of islands/terrains, including community ports from earlier games. So, yeah. You got a shitton of stuff to do on a LOT of terrain, and the game will keep your attention for a few hundred hours. That's before you start modding and crank the amount of content up to eleven. Best thing, full modding tools are freely available, so anyone can add their own stuff! And as a side note, I meant that there are probably several reskins of the athletic outfit, few of armor, etc. so they'd overlap and you can only have one reskin for each item installed.

*Snip*And as a side note, I meant that there are probably several reskins of the athletic outfit, few of armor, etc. so they'd overlap and you can only have one reskin for each item installed. Wow. I don't usually run military games -if FPS though. At least that is what I see... am i wrong?
Ah. Well you can have more than one reskin but it usually corrupts. Remember the issue with the two mods I am using: Emo Cora and the Cora revamp:
Turns out not an issue at all. The Cora revamp seems to trump -yep I went there the Emo mod on everything. One mod seems to negate the other. So actually I am using one less mod than I thought I was using.
EDIT: removed usually multiplication.

Well, it's meant to be somewhat realistic even on basic difficulty. You can play in third person but it's usually frowned upon with communities that try to play hardcore. I remember putting the fear of God into a kid who managed to get me once because he cheated with third person.

Looks like i stepped into enemy territory.... .....getting overwhelmed from PC supporters in this thread....."Xbox 1/PS4 users...put aside our petty differences and come together to fight against our common enemy".... .tho methinks xbox users might be sleeping with said enemy.... ...... haha...all jokes aside. i know the oldest pc's are most likely ahead in terms of tech compared to the consoles...when the ps4 and xbox 1 systems launched, their tech was already outdated.... Not so much enemy territory. Consoles and to be specific CUSTOM PC's are built using the same tech. The trouble is unified architecture of hardware in consoles. The fact that it is a packaged unit that is designed not to let you get into -making it into a sort of hardware time-capsule. After 6-7 years the hardware inside is not even stagnant with current hardware technology but in regression to the current technology. That is not to say that this can remain true. Since you can find a way and get in -no don't need a crowbar -after which you can change parts just like a PC or Mac owner. Can easily go wrong though a lot of money if you don't know what your doing and what works with what. Try to replace something and if not exactly the right thing it fails... or burns: Try to combine Intel with AMD -dead. Try to combine AMD with Intel -dead. Something many Intel computer owners -who own console may not like -seeing as ALL recent consoles are ALL AMD based... HOWEVER IF you are VERY HARDWARE and TECH knowledgeable it isn't much of an issue. I had a friend with a console once who had a hard drive failure and I tried to replace it with a standard Seagate drive... My thought at the time was well "Its all the same hardware." Something that I realized was different when it didn't work. After that goof up I did my research and finally got him a working hard drive for $35 compared to the $100 the store was going to charge to repair. That incident was my first and last experience with console modding. Never have gone near a console since. With computers -there is no unified architecture -if custom made. Which can lead to more freedom in what components can be used. For example making an Intel motherboard work with components designed to work with AMD is easy with a custom computer. Try to combine AMD and Intel on a console... not possible -or at the very least not easy to do. Again unified architecture is extremely limiting and expensive in the long run. Probably the reason consoles were made in the first place...
